Followed each step, have had the WIC office help and still am unable to get in. Takes me through the entire process, opening up Michigan.gov, signing in, does a loading screen and sends me right back to the login page. It’s so disheartening ### 1/5 — App unusable *2026-01-02, version 3.11.29* Signing in was a pain, and then trying to add my wic account and card to my account literally did not work. I made multiple attempts and it froze the app every single time and would not let me go forwards or back, and then when I’d close the app fully to unfreeze it, I’d then have to sign in again all over again to gain access to where I left off.. which was trying to add my wic card and account to my milogin account. It’s much easier to just use the EBTEdge app as suggested on the back of the card than to run around and get frustrated and upset about wic connect and its failure. The only thing I’ve had luck on with using the barcode our cereal boxes. Aside from that it’s not functional at all. Every time I go to the store and check out, I grab the exact brand, oz, and type of food listed in the wic approved foods on the website and book. Every time I go to check out I’m constantly told more than half my items are “not wic approved” even though it clearly says it is in the book and website. It takes forever to figure out with the store employees what is approved and what’s not and it’s such a hassle and time consuming. I downloaded this app to help and for some reason you need to connect your bridges account to login into this app. So that’s fine, I do that then it tells me “you do not have permission to access the requested resource”. Quite frankly it’s ridiculous how you have to jump through hoops to get help. Then when you do reach out to the mi bridges # for help it takes forever, they’re rude, not helpful, or don’t even answer. The government does not make it easy for people to get help when it’s truly needed and the people who don’t need help and take advantage, and get the help that others truly need. I have a special needs 12 month old who requires a significant amount of care everyday and I’m a single mom unable to work due to her needs. The government makes it impossible for people like me to get the help we need. Things need to improve in Michigan and with our “politicians” and the “president” they’re screwing everyone over who actually needs help. I appreciate my benefits and it helps but it’s a constant hassle and there are always so many hoops you have to jump through to get assistance for anything and it’s exhausting, impossible and tiring. App needs to improve. I have a bridges account yet still won’t let me log in. It’s ridiculous ### 1/5 — Not working *2025-02-09, version 3.10.26* I just downloaded this but it won’t do anything. It doesn’t work and on the off chance that you’re able to actually log in without it crashing, you can’t do anything and it logs you out and crashes again. Absolutely ridiculous. The page just goes blank. No update needed. I tried to just press login and it sent me to MiBridges but that login didn't work. Based on the reviews and my own, there is absolutely no point in downloading this app, you will waste time and money. I would think the State of Michigan would be able to find someone who can get it back up and running. This app was very useful for its scan feature, as WIC product descriptions can sometimes be misleading. For now, users should use the Fresh EBT app, but I hope they eventually repair this app and update the GUI. It just looks bad on the State to have this useless, ugly app sitting in the App Store. ### 5/5 — Very helpful *2020-05-06, version 3.0.0* I became a foster parent almost 3 years ago to 4 children. I had never received WIC before and so I was carrying my booklet every time I went to the store. One of the workers at my appointment told me about this app and it has been a blessing for me. I have never had a problem using this and it’s very easy for me to check my unused food balances. I am not a tech person and still figured out how to use this app. Give it a chance, don’t be impatient and it will work for you. ### 5/5 — Made my shopping easy *2018-12-09, version 2.0.0* Now I can easily find the eligible products just by scanning. One lady told me that’s she was having the same issue. I have no other way to view my benefits so when is this going to be fixed. Also would’ve been nice if I didn’t have to go through trial and error to figure out why the barcode scanner wasn’t working by myself. As a new WIC user, having the barcode scanner is nice…just not available to use on my phone (I’ll have to take my husband’s phone when I go…).
