### 2/5 — Mieserable Software und noch miesere Hörgeräte

*2026-04-24*

### 1/5 — App is not reliable

*2026-04-20*

Having errors, bad or no connection, re loading app, turning bluetooth off/ on pairing again, and being held captive to apple iPhone , makes the Widex experience terrible. Shouldve stayed with Opticon. 6500$ for bad unreliable app/ devices is such a rip off

### 1/5 — Iphone accessibility setting works better

*2026-04-05*

Wrestled with app fir 2 months to make it less harsh and tinny sounding while being able to hear. Impossible. I turned Bluetooth off on that phone with the aoo, used another phone and cinnected Bluetooth to the hearing aud and was stunned at how much better it sounded using the phone built in equalizer. Sounds great without having to switch through preset sounds in the app. This
.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth major issues

*2026-03-04*

As others stated the Bluetooth simply won’t stay connected. It randomly reconnects at will. Eg: such as for an incoming call it defaults to my hearing aides. I don’t really want them too. However, when streaming music they almost NEVR connect. I have to turn off phone and restart. They will connect, but then disconnect again. Then, I have to “forget device” and repair all over. This occurs EVERYDAY. $8,000 for these????? Still within my return period and they are going back. What a waste. I can’t run any tinnitus apps through them either - the main reason I bought them. If you can’t get Bluetooth to work, don’t sell this product!!!!!

### 2/5 — Almost, but not entirely useless

*2026-02-28*

Cannot set a default sound setting, every time you take them off the charger, they revert to ‘universal’.
Cannot update the universal setting (save it).
I had to have my audiologist change the base settings.
All in all a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Really?

*2026-02-07*

You pay $6000 for the upgraded Widex Allure and they can’t devote resources to developing an app that works and stays connected to the hearing aids instead of having to take them out and re-pair. I’m in my return window so these are going back to the audiologist.

### 1/5 — Déception

*2026-02-02*

### 1/5 — iPhone Connectivity Issues

*2026-01-12*

There is a connectivity issue between the app and my hearing aids with my iPhone. I restart my iPhone, restart my hearing aids, and put the hearing aids back on the charger in different combinations and sometimes it connects with the hearing aids. Fix the damn app!

### 1/5 — Cannot pair my Allure hearing aids with this app on my iPad

*2025-12-31*

The hearing aids are connected via iPad Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices. But the changes I can make there are limited. I need to pair to,the app so I can create custom programs and use the AI feature to fine tune that program

### 1/5 — Hate it. Problem hearing. It’s holidays and it is having error coming up and not solving.

*2025-12-22*

Got sold a $7,000 package that is a lot worse than old. No instructions that are readable in English. Too small to read or interpret on phone for 65 yr old. My old were so much better. New were giving me error readings.

### 1/5 — Disconnects

*2025-12-17*

Extremely disappointing that you never know if it will connect or not.

DEVELOPERS - any chance you’re going to fix it?

At this point it buyer beware

### 1/5 — Fancy Car - No Engine

*2025-11-11*

$4000 hearing aids that won’t work with an IPhone. Audiologist says beyond his control. Widex blames Apple. News Flash Widex: Apple doesn’t care or need you. Love the sound but not the company. Luckily I’m still in return/refund window.

### 2/5 — Deception

*2025-11-03*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not so good

*2026-07-05*

Listening to audio from my iPhone. Middling sound and odd connection issues. But Widex app tells me over and over hearing aids aren’t connected.

Excellent hearing aids for musicians, but man . . . what dismal performance this app.

### 1/5 — Verschlimmbessert

*2026-07-03*

### 1/5 — Compare other hearing aid apps

*2026-06-27*

If you compare other manufacturers and their apps you will see they are better. Please make this one better. Please take a look at the reviews. Also, please remove the loud obnoxious sound when adjusting the volume or muting the sound. It’s so annoying.

### 1/5 — Total failure

*2026-06-13*

I used the Widex moment app until I upgraded to Allure. The Allure app has none of the ability of the Moment App. I was told that was by design as the Allure uses AI to make adjustments- Not enough. The sub-par App is a reason to avoid the Allure hearing aid.

### 1/5 — Unhappy

*2026-06-11*

My hearing battery life went from over 24 hours to dying within 12 hours after 06/08/26 update! There has to be a bug in the update. These hearing aids are to damn expensive to have issues like an iPhone after an update.

### 1/5 — Great hearing aids, lousy app

*2026-06-07*

This is my third pair of Widex HAs and by far the best. The sound quality is amazing. Mine are paired to a base iPhone 16. Like others, I've seen the app flail around with maintaining its connection to the HAs, but I've never noticed a problem when I'm on a call. Note that I don't often stream music, but when I do, again, no problems.

My major complaint is the current version of the app, as of 7 June 2026. When this version came out a couple of weeks ago, it absolutely clobbered battery life. Before update, I'd put them in the charger as I went to bed after wearing them for 16 hours or so and they'd report 60-70% battery life remaining, or another 12 hours or so.

NOW the app reports 25-30% battery remaining. Either the app has a bug that introduced a race condition that is eating the battery, or the previous versions were not reporting battery life accurately. And since there's no way for us users to reach out to them after giving them $3-4,000+, who knows.

Plus they need to fix the Bluetooth issues.

I think they went wrong by trying to introduce "AI" into the app. The previous apps were solid, the new interface sucks.

### 1/5 — Problem noch nicht gelöst. Schwierig

*2026-05-31*

### 1/5 — Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

*2026-05-07*

After using Allure hearing aids
for four months I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a fundamental problem with BT connectivity. It randomly, and unexpectedly, drops the connection to one or both hearing aids. Incoming phone calls are pot-luck and returning back after a phone call is weird. Many times I have to reboot everything and start over. Also, the need to enter the equalizer and adjust one increment to get clearer sound is bizarre. Serious
problems here. I also use TVPlus and connectivity and integration with incoming phone calls while using TVP isn’t smooth. Many times I need to call the caller back once I reboot my app and devices. All-in-all, not a smooth experience and doesn’t perform as expected.

Note: I am previous Widex Moment user of 4+ years without any of these issues. My purchase was from my audiologist and included Widex company rep for setup. Have told them and gone through their technical support, problem not resolved.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great functionality and here’s a Bluetooth hack

*2026-06-27*

If the app loses its connection, just go to settings and turn Bluetooth off and on. The app automatically connects. There’s no need to follow the app’s “connection guide instructions after the initial setup. The Allure app provides many more options for modifying and enhancing sound than Oticon - for directionality, clarity, etc. The sound is more natural. I expect the Bluetooth issue will be fixed, but it’s really no big deal.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-10-29*

Wow the naturalness of this hearing aid is great! I’ve tried many others and I can hear so much better in noise. People complain about connectivity but Bluetooth isn’t the most stable connection anyways with anything.

### 5/5 — Demoing Allure

*2025-04-25*

Got a pair of widex allures today to demo. Downloaded the app to my iphone and ipad, works great with both.

### 4/5 — Problem gelöst

*2026-06-09*

### 3/5 — Improvements

*2025-12-27*

I really wish the streaming audio menu was always accessible, not just when streaming music or video. I don’t understand why there can’t be two accessible menus; why the streaming one has to disappear when not steaming. It was the same with the Moment app. Also, I’m not able to turn down my streaming volume low enough. I’d like to listen to things without everyone around me also hearing it, and to get it down to a comfortable level. Can’t. It’s loud, then off completely. And when my phone rings, it’s way too loud. And the program beeps are as well! Just a bit more control overall would make a lot of difference to the people using these as their own cyborg ears.

### 3/5 — Bluetooth disconnects when switching apps (MFi hearing aids)

*2025-12-20*

I am using Widex Allure 440 rechargeable hearing aids with an iPhone 17 through Apple’s MFi hearing devices system.

The main problem is that audio disconnects whenever I switch between apps. After changing apps, sound stops coming through the hearing aids, and the only way to fix it is to turn Bluetooth off and back on.

Pairing was done correctly via Settings → Accessibility → Hearing Devices, not standard Bluetooth. Audio routing is set properly, and features like Audio Handoff and Control Nearby Devices are disabled. The issue still happens consistently.

This is a serious accessibility problem. For hearing aid users, having to reset Bluetooth multiple times a day makes the experience unreliable and frustrating.

I hope this issue can be addressed in a future update, as stable audio routing is essential for daily use.

### 3/5 — Nicht schlecht

*2025-09-10*

Tinnitus-Programm usw.

### 2/5 — AI Equals NS (Natural Stupidity)

*2026-06-12*

I go through all the steps with their Artificial (not very) Intelligence. Then I try to save my choice and this app just kicks me out without saving. This went on with the previous version and now it’s going on with the current version. Would you please fix this thing already or just drop it. It’s making you look foolish, but that’s what AI usually does. Rethink it.

### 2/5 — Needs fixes

*2026-05-17*

One or both aids will disconnect and randomly switch settings hurting my ears. This are my first hearing aids and it is not a good experience. When trying to adjust the settings to get a better sound quality, the screen flips back to Home Screen and I can never set the sound. This is very annoying.
