## What is Widget Vocabulary?

Your Lock Screen, now a vocabulary builder. Widget Vocabulary shows a new English word every time you look at your iPhone, or a single word of the day if you prefer. For word lovers and English learners alike.

Widgets are part of Premium. The free version gives you 5 new words a day, a daily practice session and search, with no account.

Widgets (Premium)
• Lock Screen: a word with its meaning, or one line above the clock
• Home Screen in three sizes, with Save and Next on medium and large
• StandBy and a streak widget
• Choose the words: For You, a category, a collection, your saved words or words due for review
• From a new word every 15 minutes to one a day
• Quiz Mode and color themes on the Home Screen
• In the widget gallery, look for Widget Vocab

Words worth knowing
• More than 5,000 words, phrasal verbs and idioms, labeled A1 to C2, in 17 categories from Travel and Work to IELTS/TOEFL, SAT/GRE and Beautiful Words
• A clear definition and a natural example sentence for every entry, IPA for single words, and audio
• Translations and translated examples in 18 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese
• Search in English or in your own language; “ran” finds “run”
• Native English speaker? English-only mode shows definitions instead of translations

Practice that sticks
• Spaced repetition (FSRS) brings saved words back just before you’d forget them
• Four question types, and your mistakes come back at the end of each session

Calm by design
• No account needed. Sign in with Apple only if you want your words on more than one device
• No ads, and it works offline: the dictionary lives on your iPhone
• One daily word notification, only if you turn it on

Free and Premium
Free: 5 new words a day in For You, up to 30 saved words, 1 practice session a day (10 cards) plus your mistakes, search, pronunciation and English-only mode.
Premium: every widget and theme, unlimited new words in every category, unlimited saved words and practice, collections, and your own words on your widgets.

Subscription terms
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Prices vary by country or region and are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The trial turns into a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. It renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and renewal is charged within those last 24 hours. Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
