Discover free WiFi wherever you go. WiFi Finder is a crowd-sourced app that helps you find and share public WiFi passwords at cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels, libraries, and thousands of other locations. No account required — just open the app and start exploring.

Interactive Map
See WiFi spots near you on a live map with category-specific markers. Filter by distance (250m to 5km) and browse by category — cafes, food, bars, hotels, fitness, transit, health, and more. Need Fast internet? Filter by internet speed to make sure you find internet that fits your needs.

Directions + Look Around
Provides walking directions directly on the map for anything less than 1 hour away. Tap the Look Around image to see the Apple Map street level imagery for that location.

Add & Share WiFi Spots
Help the app's community & add WiFi information to the app. Tap the + button to contribute. Search for the business, enter the network name and password, and submit. Your contributions help keep the community connected.

Offline Mode
Download all data for any area, so you can find a connection even without a data plan.

- New Notification Feature: If you report something (such as a request to remove a WiFi spot from the app), and our admin team accepts this request, you'll now get a notification on the settings page to confirm with you that your request was granted.
- Redesigned WiFi spot cards in the list view.

### v2.5.0 — 2026-07-27

- New walking directions feature. Tap on any WiFi marker, and if it's less than a 1 hour walk away from your current location, it will show you the walking directions to that spot.
- New amenities feature. Does the establishment have power outlets, washrooms and air conditioning for their guests? Fill out a questionnaire and help the community by letting others know what amenities are available at that spot.
- Support for Apple Maps Look Around, see images from the street level view of each WiFi spots location.
- WiFi info sheets now open at a shorter height to make room for these new features. Swipe up to see the full sheet and all the other information.
- Fixed small bug where the 'search this area button' would have a ghost button behind it visible when tapped.
- Fixed a small bug where some data in a WiFi info sheet would load late and make the height of the sheet jump up.

- New 'Newest Spots' section in the settings tab. See what WiFi spots the community has added worldwide and locally.
- When adding a new wifi spot while currently connnected to it, the app would sometimes fetch businesses from a stale GPS location. This has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug where tapping some buttons could be registered multiple times incorrectly.
- Other small bug fixes and general improvements.
- Backend improvements.

### v2.2.0 — 2026-07-07

- Speed tests now work in the background. If you close a WiFi info sheet during an active speed test, the test will continue in the background as long as the app is still open. Navigate to any screen and the progress will be displayed at the top of the screen.
- On rare occasions, WiFi markers would be rendered at the exact same location, blocking you from seeing and tapping on one of them. This has been fixed, WiFi spots with the same address won't render on top of each other anymore.
- After adding a new WiFi spot, the app now immedietly checks to see if the device is connected to that same SSID and records a succesful connection if it is.
- Fixed visual glitch in light mode when switching to or from the map tap.
- Fixed visual glitch in light mode of the 'Go To...' & 'Search This Area' buttons.
- Fixed visual glitch that would sometimes flash the 'Search This Area' button after tapping on the my location button.
- After adding a new WiFi spot, the information sheet for that new spot will now automatically open.
- Sometimes the app would fail to fetch the correct establishment category (cafe, bar, library etc). The app will now more reliably fetch the correct category.
- Small bugfix, Liquor & Desserts category chips are now capitalized.
- Small fixes to onbaording tutorial text.
- Backend improvements.

- Fixed ads not being displayed properly sometimes.
- Fixed global search not working properly. (You can search for wifi spots worldwide via list view with 'all' selected).
- Fixed speed test not being available after connecting to network.
