## What is Wifi Mapper?

Wifi Mapper helps you measure and document Wi-Fi quality directly on your iPhone.

Record signal measurements, latency, download and upload performance, then visualize the results on a map or on imported floor plans. This makes it easier to find weak spots, compare rooms and document network quality over time.

Wifi Mapper works locally on your device. The UniFi feature is optional and requires a local UniFi user in the same network. No Ubiquiti cloud account is required.

Measurement details: Tap any measurement in the list to see all recorded values in a detail view – signal, network, latency, coordinates and more at a glance.
Improved heatmap: Colors now exactly match the measurement dots, with smooth gradients and no hard edges.
Floor plan dots: Color is now correctly based on the measured RSSI value.
Faster app launch: The app is immediately usable – the database loads in the background.
Faster map loading: No more freezing with many measurement points.
Measurement list: The trash icon now deletes all measurements at once; swipe to delete individual ones still works.

Improved heatmap – Colors now match the measurement dots accurately: red areas stay red, orange areas stay orange. Transitions between signal zones are smooth instead of showing hard polygon edges.
Floor plan measurement dots – Dot colors are now based on the actual RSSI value. Previously, all dots appeared green regardless of the measured signal strength.
PDF export – Measurement dots in the report now show the correct signal colors as well.
Faster app launch – The app is usable immediately on startup. The database loads in the background without blocking the interface.
Faster map loading – Switching to the map view with many measurements no longer freezes the app. The heatmap is only recalculated when measurements change, not every time you toggle between dots and heatmap view.
