### 2/5 — clunky workflow

*2025-11-08*

inexpensive and no subscription, but I was hoping to wander around in my flat and create a heat map of my wifi / wlan …

instead you have draw / upload your floor plan yourself and pin the measurements manually - technically it is working, but the experience is cumbersome

**Developer response:** Hi Herr, thanks for you review. If you do not want to upload your floor plan and also want a semi-automatic way to take the measurements, you may choose « step-by-step » at the start screen, instead of « advanced interface ». You will be able to choose one of the four predefined simple floor plan examples, and take each measurement with only one click.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-10-14*

The app opens for a split second and then crashes - good one

**Developer response:** This has been fixed, it now works correctly on iOS18. Many thanks for the bug report.

### 1/5 — Crashes on launch. Please fix!

*2024-10-09*

The app crashed when I launched it. Looking forward to the mapping functionality once fixed.

**Developer response:** This has been fixed, it now works correctly on iOS18. Many thanks for the bug report.

### 1/5 — Ne fonctionne pas

*2024-10-02*

### 1/5 — Does not even start

*2024-09-29*

Crashes right away. Don’t bother.

**Developer response:** This has been fixed, it now works correctly on iOS18. Many thanks for the bug report.

### 1/5 — Crashes r us

*2024-09-26*

Just bought this app and it opens and then crashes. It does not work on iPad iPhone and MacBook. Waste of money.

**Developer response:** This has been fixed, it now works correctly on iOS18. Many thanks for the bug report.

### 1/5 — Fails to open

*2024-09-24*

Perhaps not ready for newest iOS, flashes menu then dies.

**Developer response:** This has been fixed, it now works correctly on iOS18. Many thanks for the bug report.

### 1/5 — Makes no sense

*2024-07-07*

Every app on Android is automatic. This one requires you to read a novel to do a single scan on the app.

### 5/5 — A really useful and simple to use Wifi strength mapping tool

*2024-07-02*

I bought this app to try to diagnose issues I was having with wi-fi in my house: it has been fantastic and led to me solving those issues.

I did need to read the very clear and concise instructions before I could operate it but , once I had done so, and understood how it works, it was a breeze to use and showed me exactly where my signal was good and where it wasn't.

I was using it with a MacBook Air M2 as the 'server', next to the router, which communicated with the same app on my iPad Pro M1 which I wandered around with to measure the wi-fi signal. From this the software built a heatmap over a plan of the house (which I downloaded from the estate agent's listing from when we bought it but you could make one - it just needs to be roughly to scale). A change in router and slightly different positioning and I was able to repeat the mapping and show that I now had signal where I needed it.

Issues - minor really and hopefully can be fixed in later releases. I did find that it tended to lose signal when the wi-fi signal was low (eg in the garden) even though there was still a connection there. I'm interested in where it is weak not where it is strong so a tweak there to stop me having to repeatedly go back nearer to re-acquire the signal would be good.

Also, when you are building the map, it shows you the signal strength scale but when its been built you just get the colours. It would be good to have the scale available put figures to the strengths.

It would also be good if the app could save the results and the maps. You just export them as a image when you are finished but it would be good if they could be saved alongside the logs rather than as a static external image.

Lastly, you can use it without a second device acting as server, using a website they provide. When I tried this, it just gave me full strength signal wherever I was so something funny seems to be going on there.

All in all a fascinating and super useful took which is a bargain at the price. Highly recommended.
