## What is WiFi Profile?

A simple tool to create WiFi profiles on iOS and share them with friends.

• Combine many WiFis into one profile
• Set a customizable expire date or interval
• Install profiles on your own device or share them with others 
• Show and share QR Codes of your WiFis
• iCloud Sync
• Import ".mobileconfig" files from apps like Dropbox or Google Drive

Notice:
WiFi Profile uses a format proposed by ZXing to share WiFis via QR-code.
For sharing WiFis as "iOS Profile" we use Configuration Profiles.
Both formats contain basic information such as SSID, security protocol and passphrase in plain text.

En remplacement d'une app 32 bits devenue obsolète, celle-ci est aussi basique que simple à utiliser. Elle permet toutefois des procédures et des réglages plus complexes pour les accros de la bidouille. Une * de moins pour l'interface d'un autre temps.

Die App wurde in der Zwischenzeit stetig weiterentwickelt. Hatte einen guten Kontakt zum Entwickler, meine gemeldeten Probleme wurden alle behoben. Auch meine Sonderwünsche wir dass bestimmte Tags erhalten bleiben sollen beim Importieren sowie Touch ID wurden implementiert. Mein letzter Wunsch war noch das Erkennen vorhandener WiFi-Netzte in der Umgebung, so dass diese beim Erstellen der Profile gleich ausgewählt werden. Das steht aber auch schon auf der Tankliste und wird mit einer der nächsten Update kommen. Toll!

Keine Möglichkeit eine Zertifikatsauthentifizierung im Profil anzugeben. Für zu "private" Netzte aber ganz nett.

Die Grundidee dahinter finde ich nicht schlecht, leider kann man das nur für Wlannetzwerke nutzen, deren Passwort ohnehin bekannt ist oder es nicht darauf ankommt bekannt zu werden. Scanne ich den QR-Code mit einem herkömmlichen QR-Scanner, wird mir das Passwort im Klartext angezeigt. 

Zumindest sollte in der Beschreibung darauf hingewiesen werden, diese App nicht für die Verteilung von sensiblen Passwörtern geeignet ist.
