It works quite well once you figure out the setup required. I am using an iPhone12. I used the instructions provided in the box. The only thing that was not specified was you must go into privacy settings and set WIFI View to have local network access. As soon as I did that, image popped up on the screen. As for the quality of the app, it is definitely not a polished solution. Yea, it is kinda klunky… And yes the developer definitely doesn’t have English as their first language, but I figure their English is better than my Chinese…. As for the photos and videos, mine save to my iPhone photos and are accessible from there. I gave it a 3 rating since it’s kinda hard to navigate the app but it is absolutely functional. I don’t expect a polished medical quality device for the $30 I paid for it. ### 3/5 — Practical app *2022-07-09, version 2.3* I carefully used it to see internal surface of my teeth . Not really *2021-10-23, version 2.3* The endoscope was given to me. Luckily still had instructions. The app does look primitive, but then again, the functionality is pretty simple. Downloaded the app and was connected instantly with no issues. Using iPhone XS Max. I have not experienced any of the issues that other reviewers experienced. Although, I did not attempt to connect to my WiFi. Not sure why anyone would need to. The Endoscope has its own Wi-Fi built into it. The instructions tell you to locate its Wi-Fi info in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and use the password in the instructions. Worked like a charm. As for resolution, once connected to the scope, I could change the resolution to several different choices. Also, it does prompt you to connect to your phone’s photos. Any video and photos are copied there as well as in the app itself. I’ve used it to look into tight spaces on my sailboat and under my sailboat for years. The depsech endoscope is basic and easy to use. The price is right $40 And the app is free. All my photos and video shop up in apple photos where I can edit and share them. ### 5/5 — How to retrieve password *2020-09-07, version 2.3* Hi folks, if you tried to change the wifi password and were unable to reconnect, here is how to recover. 1) Get a buspirate and an EEPROM clip adapter. 2) Google how to dump firmware using buspirate 3) Dump firmware using buspirate 4) Run the strings command against the extracted firmware, redirect the output to a text file, then look through the text file. you'll find the password in the file. The hardest part was figuring out the password due to the small print of the instructions. Hint.
