A landscape option would be easier to use. The room analysis feature - roomfit - could have been helpfully signposted from the eq section. Surprising big jump in volume when changing eq preset after switching from roomfit. Navigation through the app is poor - I only stumbled across roomfit by accident and continually failed to find it again after navigating away. Roomfit process itself quite well implemented - one step after another - but needs a warning to moderate amp volume before running. Room response graph colour choices too similar making graph hard to read. In summary, some significant misses in the UI undermine a well-featured app. ### 2/5 — Interface is a clustered mess *2026-08-23* No way to re-order music services. No way to open up directly into music services. Should have an option to either “remember last” or “open to music services.” Browae list should have favorite apps first and the a list of “other” apps after it. I shouldn’t have to go to “customize” to browse other apps. What if I just want to spontaneously try another service? The way you have it, I have to first go into to customize, turn it on, try it out, may e go back to customize and turn it off and try another. Need a way to hide “My library.” Some of us only use streaming services. If there is a way to make a streaming service a favor, it’s not intuitive. It has so much it is not intuitive especially at set up. The absence of settings symbol is confusing and although partly understandable it is still tricky. Search is somehow very limited, especially for classical music. So your job is to work out “What were they thinking?” First tip: Choose Album on the tab. Second tip: Artist or composer first > add a comma then > (get more specific) e.g. Symphony > (even more specific) Orchestra. etc. For pop it is a little easier because you don’t have endless different recordings of the same thing. (How many versions of the 4 seasons by Vivaldi are there? The answer is = Hundreds! Your task is a guessing game of narrowing it down in order. E.G: Paul Simon > Graceland > 25th Anniversary [For the high res remastered version] Tidal can easily offer up too many “compilation” albums when you search for Mozart. Huge mistake HUGE. Without a plan and order of going from big to more specific ……. Diese funktioniert deutlich besser, als der Ableger von Audio Pro, der eigentlich auf der Wiim-Software basiert. Bin absolut begeistert, super App, funktioniert einwandfrei und ist unglaublich umfangreich, mir fehlt da nichts mehr. Die Lautsprecher von Audio Pro kann ich ebenfalls 100% weierempfehlen, super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisse und Top Klang, aber lieber mit der Wiim-App betreiben. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2026-08-03, version 3.6.2* I can’t imagine set up being any easier, and once set up just explore the menu. I have been searching for a way to connect my home stereo speaker system with my iPhone Pandora. This could not be more perfect! The app is the most user friendly I have encountered anywhere. This little Wiim mini is beyond perfect! I’ve renamed my network, factory reset my WiiM Ultra, rebooted my router, uninstalled and reinstalled WiiM app, used both my phone and my tablet… it sees my Ultra but says I’m on “Other Network” and to rename my network and try again!?!? Even connecting with Ethernet or WiFi does nothing. Hours and no use. Extremely frustrating. No tech support phone… just email. Right… we already know why they say to submit an email. So they never have to answer it. I had high hopes for this WiiM Ultra but I guess what can I expect for $329.00? Garbage that’s what. First of all your widget doesn't stay up on my lock screen which is abysmal at best, the fact that I have to go in and unlock my phone every three seconds just to change the song or like the song or dislike this song, not to mention there's no reason I should ever have to turn on my location just to use a device. That's pathetic and intrusive. Thirdly the fact that I can't use the device or link to if my VPN is turned on is a definite dealbreaker and should not be an issue in today's technology date and age. None of my other devices have these types of issues, but yours magically does. So if you could bother fixing the lock screen widget, and get rid of whatever useless reason there is for needing me to turn on my location and update your software so I can use my VPN just to listen to music............That would be great. Thanks. **Developer response:** Sorry for the inconvenience. The WiiM home app doesn't currently support widgets. Are you referring to Allow playback control on lock screen? Enabling this feature only to switch audio sources and adjust the volume. Thanks for your suggestion about widget! We will share it with our product team for consideration and potential optimization. We value your privacy. Location permissions are strictly used for the initial Wi-Fi configuration. Once your device is set up, these permissions can be safely disabled. It is best not to use a VPN, as it places your phone and WiiM device on different networks and prevents them from connecting.
