Und nachdem man endlich einen Suchbegriff eingeben konnte, wartet man auch noch mal gefühlt zwei Minuten, bis endlich das Gesuchte angezeigt wird. Inzwischen ertappe ich mich zunehmend dabei, die Website im Browser aufzurufen, um schneller ans Ziel zu können! War eigentlich nicht Sinn der Sache. Schade eigentlich. The app only allows searching and reading. There is no search history, no saving function, nothing. I have used this app since AT LEAST 2011, but today I switched to the official Wikipedia app. The biggest reason is the consistent bug where if you hit the back button from one article to another the screen will seize and becomes unusable. This has been a bug for all of 2021 if not more than a year. Wikipanion, fix this bug and I will be back to use the pro version. I love your app and I have been a LONG time user. C’est vraiment dommage parce que cette application paraissait parfaite. ### 2/5 — Was a better app then is now *2020-02-19, version 1.9.25* Wikipanion used to be a free app with a few extra features than the official wikipedia app. Those features have now been removed and moved into the paid app. If you book marked any sites on the old Wikipanion those book marks have now been removed unless you upgrade to pro which is $8.00. You have to wonder what feature will be removed from the free version next. Seriously, don’t bother. download the official Wikipedia App which is now free and will stay free and will not remove any features over time. ### 2/5 — Dual screen mode *2020-02-01, version 1.9.24* Every Time I try to put this app into split screen mode on my iPad it bugs out. ### 3/5 — Really great, easy to use *2019-12-14, version 1.9.19* I use this exclusively to browse Wikipedia, and I like it a lot. Unfortunately the search bar display issue is back as of the latest app and/or OS update (iPad OS 13 with latest app version). Please fix :) ### 3/5 — Numerous issues and seems to no longer be maintained *2019-11-28, version 1.9.19* - Crashes each time you switch from one wiki to another - Can’t view many images - Can’t listen to most audio files - Large pages on other Wikis (e.g. Wookiepedia) don’t load properly, formatting gets messed up, e.g. references / footnotes get squished together This used to be my go to Wiki app but it appears the developer no longer maintains the app (last update over three months ago) and numerous small bugs have crept in. Will start using the official Wikipedia app for Wikipedia and websites for other Wikis. It’s been updated, tweaked and tended with love and care by its developer. I use it every day. It not only gives you the cleanest version of Wikipedia available, but you can also add other wikis like Doctor Who, South Park, and Star Trek. You can bookmark your favorite sections and the history feature has proven invaluable. You can synch bookmarks between devices. It's fast and works with multi-media. The navigation pane is excellent, make it very easy to find a topic. Of course, there's also a search capability within the articles. It works great without any problems on my iPad Pro 11 inch and iPhone Pro 12, iOS 18. I would certainly pay for the Wikipanion interface for my MacBook Pro, as I’ve been unable to find anything close. I have extensive bookmarks that I’d love to transfer. Robert Chin, tell me it exists for macOS and I only missed seeing it. Tell me! Alas, your web page seems oldish and you’re likely moving on, as is proper. We can’t have it all, but I sure appreciate years of use from a truly excellent app. I’ll keep using it until the pad, the app, or I perish. When I got my iPad 2 this was one of the very first apps I downloaded. It’s fantastic, ad-free, and continues to get updates. One of my all-time favorite apps on my iPhone and iPad. ### 5/5 — Wie man Sprachen einstellt *2019-06-20, version 1.9.10* Man geht in die Einstellungen vom iPad, sucht oder scrollt runter bis zu 'Wikipanion', dort kann man die Standardsprache einstellen und die Sprachen, aus denen man wählen will (z.B. Deutsch und English). Umstellen kann man, wenn man in das Suchfeld klickt, dort wird die aktuelle Sprache angezeigt. Zum Ändern draufklicken. So einfach. Aber einfach eine schlechte Bewertung abgeben ist ja so einfach, anstatt zu lernen wie iOS funktioniert.
