From the wild swimming rivers, secret beaches and lost ruins of Norfolk and Suffolk, to the ancient woods, meadows and orchards of Kent and Sussex. Includes the New Forest and Isle of Wight. Contains over 1000 hidden places in the south east and around London including: * 300 Wild swimming places, canoeing rivers and hidden beaches * 100 Ancient woodlands, summer meadows and wildlife wonders * 100 Lost ruins, hidden castles and sacred stones * 50 Caves and crypts, grottoes and follies * 50 Sunset hillforts, night walks and spots for wild camping * 250 Micro-breweries, artisan food, cosy pubs and foraging * 250 Campfire campsites, treehouses and remote hideaways

NOTE: due to the large number of images and places the app is slow to load first time and may not work well (or crash) if many other apps are open in parallel. Please close other apps.

You will find preloaded maps, photos, directions and travel writing to inspire and inform. Many of the land and water adventure locations comes with stunning photography. There are entries for pubs, campsites and attractions (usually without photos). If you need inspiration you can browse the app by slideshow, list, photo gallery and on an interactive map. Ask the app to find places close to you, or search using postcode, address, star rating, walk-in time, keywords or other features. You can share places on email and Facebook and save favourites too.

Love the app but it has a colour code system that relates to different types of locations - swimming / walks / places of interest -  but there’s no key to these colours ! And would be good if you could just show the one of the types - ie just show the swimming / just show the walks so you search by activity 

It wouldn’t need much work to improve it we have visited a few spots and they are good recommendations just the usability of the app is a bit well meh.

Content is good - same as the book, but search doesn’t work at all, and browsing on the map is really difficult so the book is actually more usable. Pity.

I brought this app expecting to see in the different locations a verity if swimming locations however they are littered with pubs, walks and places to stay not even a clear colour coded system. I would get a refund but App Store does not support refused. Over disappointed, deleted app with 5 minutes of buying!
