I loved listening to them to fall asleep and I felt instantly calmer when I turn them on. But then y’all updated it to add the music to the soundscapes. They’re literally ruined. The nature sounds were perfect and the music detracts from them. I don’t find them relaxing or calming anymore. Music would have been fine if there was the option to turn it off. I don’t understand why y’all destroyed the pure nature sounds and made them completely unavailable and music is mandatory. I can’t even use the app anymore because of the damn music. In addition, I don’t understand why there is only a trial option of the annual subscription. My feelings remain the same, but I’ve canceled my subscription 3 years ago because of the merger of music and no option to toggle it. For the past three years, I’ve been hoping for an update that would allow me to toggle the music. Unfortunately, it seems like this app has been abandoned. They’ve essentially merged the music and failed to provide an option to remove it. And then they abandoned it. Can we purchase it as is, like the old Wildfulness apps? ### 1/5 — Wonderful app but overpriced sadly *2024-02-17, version 5.3* Let’s be very clear - I love the soundscapes, the artwork and the UI of this app. They have done an excellent job introducing ‘amateurs’ like me to mindfulness. However, there are only 4 or 5 soundscapes available on the free version, with a painful subscription fee to fully unlock the app. Let’s not get carried away here - expecting people to pay nearly £80 a year in recurring monthly fees is outrageous to the point of greedy. PERHAPS somebody who religiously used the app every single morning/evening could justify a subscription, however 99% of people could not. I would pay a one-off to unlock new soundscapes as and when required however. Another beautiful app has sadly been spoiled by the modern day insistence in technology that you can’t really buy and own a product - you merely rent or borrow it.
