## What is WildFrog?

WildFrog is a Hong Kong mountain check-in and hike recording app for hikers who want to keep a personal record of every peak they visit. Browse a map of 330 Hong Kong peaks, view peak details, check nearby weather, record your summit check-ins, collect stamps, and create watermarked check-in cards from your photos.

• Each mountain now counts once per Hong Kong calendar day, preventing repeat check-ins from adding ranking points.
• Peak counts and monthly/all-time rankings use the same daily scoring rule.
• Repeat check-ins still save photos and records. Different peaks and a new Hong Kong day count separately.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-29

• View completed-trip photos full screen with zoom and full-aspect previews.
• Free Photo camera captures now save both the unframed original and framed export to Photos.
• Completed trip names can now be edited.
• When a photo has no GPS data, choose its location directly on the map before saving.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-23

• Added more Free Photo frame styles with editable dates and coordinates. Saving now returns automatically.
• The private photo map now shows the complete framed image with clear Open Photos and Edit Location buttons. Photos captured during a trip also appear on that trip's map and gallery.
• Trips now estimate active calories by activity type, support post-trip water and food entries, and appear in the activity calendar.
• Gear can include a photo and price, with reusable kits for pre-trip packing checks.
• Fixed crashes that could occur when importing or adding a Free Photo.

• Added standalone trips: record GPS routes, distance, duration and ascent without making an official summit check-in.
• Plan trips in advance, choose activity types, and use reusable gear kits with a pre-trip packing checklist.
• Log water, food and calories. After finishing, you can optionally connect Apple Health to read active energy for that trip window.
• Official check-ins can be linked to an active trip, but only explicit official check-ins affect stamps, rankings and summit history.
• Fixed route loss when saving an incomplete trip, archived gear disappearing while editing a kit, and HealthKit upload validation.

• Added a private photo map for Free Photo locations and thumbnails.
• Camera photos can capture GPS, while imported photos prefer their original location metadata.
• Free Photo frames can show custom dates, display coordinates, and altitude, with instant Passport/Polaroid preview switching.
• Improved the Free Photo editor layout, spacing, and Back navigation.
• Photos without a location can be placed later. Free Photo data stays on device and never counts as an official check-in, stamp, or leaderboard entry.
