### 2/5 — Downloading

*2026-04-11, version 1.1.3*

Downloading takes too long unless you connect cam directly to computer

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-06-03, version 1.1.2*

Will not connect to camera. Pointless app taking up space on my iPhone.

### 1/5 — Had it over a year app still doesn’t work!

*2025-05-30, version 1.1.2*

I have another outdoor cam that works fine and can even see this camera but I can’t get the app for this camera to work at all.

### 3/5 — Was excellent but now poor

*2025-05-10, version 1.1.1*

It was good but now has gone faulty. The thumbnails are of a previous image so it’s hard to see what’s taken.

### 3/5 — Functional, but improvements still needed

*2025-04-26, version 1.1.0*

The app is almost ok but struggles with image/device rotation, full screen and item selection. There are also a couple of typos in the English version and limited help information around what the options mean. I’m using the app on an iPad rather than an iPhone and native tablet support would be most welcome. Quite often the image ends up rotated incorrectly when I rotate the tablet (there also seems to be an upside-down mode which is weird). I’d love to see more thought put into landscape mode with better full-screen support. Also, image zoom, viewing image properties and adding annotations would be useful. Finally, it would be great to download an image or video to local storage from image view rather than having to go back to gallery mode.

### 2/5 — Multi cam failure

*2025-04-25, version 1.1.0*

I have three cameras but the app mixes up the pictures in the folders , if you click on a picture to view a different picture is shown .
The sensor doesn’t always trigger missing out on taking pictures .
Looking to replace cameras and app .

### 1/5 — Viewing problems

*2025-04-02, version 1.0.9*

Was working OK started downloading slow now. I view the videos in the local. It starts out on the camera soon as you slide it over to the video it logs out. It started messing up after the latest update.

### 1/5 — Rubbish Update!

*2025-03-26, version 1.0.9*

It's now the 26th March 2025 - 5 months since the October update caused huge problems with the thumbnails and it's still not fixed!

I have to retrieve the SD card from the camera in order view the photos as the thumbnails relate to previously deleted photos.

I've re formatted the se card- re,Ives and reinstalled the app etc etc still no joy!

The latest update is causing mega problems!!! I click on photos and it shows the thumbnails. Then when I go to view the photos the images which load are from days ago! It won’t let me view the recent photos. However I’ve deleted those images from the SD card - so I don’t understand why they are still there! I take the card indoors and view the images on my pc and they are fine so there is something wrong with the app! This is so annoying I bought the camera because you are supposed to be able to view everything on the app!

### 1/5 — Reboot required each time

*2025-03-19*

I can only use this app one time and then I have to turn the camera off and then back on again, delete the app, download again, just to see pictures on my phone, which I might as well look at on the camera itself at this point. Since I can’t stay connected you can’t really watch the feed live or get updates when a picture has been taken. What is the point of the app?

### 1/5 — Trail camera

*2025-03-17, version 1.0.8*

What they advertise is absolutely false. I have purchased a better camera for half the price.

### 2/5 — Very Poor

*2025-02-17, version 1.0.8*

The Ceyomur camera seems fine but the app performs badly. Constant connection and buffering issues

### 2/5 — iPhone yes iPad no

*2025-02-13, version 1.0.8*

Works on iPhone at the latest operating system but some times complain about vpn which I have turn off but don’t have it anyway. Just try to reconnect again and it works. So a bit flakey. Tried iPad but fails to work at all, probably not ment for an iPad.

### 3/5 — Good and bad

*2025-01-30, version 1.0.8*

Once you disable your VPN in my case Norton 360 connection is easier than the previous app however downloading video footage from camera over WiFi appears much slower than previous app or is it the camera?

### 1/5 — FRUSTRATING!!! 😡

*2025-01-21*

So many issues including constant /instant DISCONNECTING from trail camera wifi (Ceyomur) plus messing with iPhone: settings, wifi, battery use... No choice but to return the camera rec’d for Xmas as it works with this app 😡

### 1/5 — Very glitchy app

*2025-01-16, version 1.0.8*

This app is very glitchy intermittent connection issues even when the camera is on my lap, I have followed all troubleshooting instructions. It needs an upgrade as it takes from the user experience of the app so much so I may return the product.

### 1/5 — Worked well until it didn’t

*2025-01-04, version 1.0.7*

Got a new unit for Christmas and was worried after reading other reviews saying the latest update broke the app. Was pleasantly surprised to get it working (Manual connection only), but after a day of connecting fine it stopped working. Please fix!

### 1/5 — Can never connect to the camera

*2025-01-04, version 1.0.7*

This app worked once for me. It’s worked hit or miss for my husband on his phone. It makes our camera unusable. Too bad I had to pick 1 star.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — privacy issues?

*2026-04-28, version 1.1.3*

My camera works absolutely fine and I’m generally happy with it as a device, however the app now appears to want access to far too many things (location, no vpn switched on etc.) and I am suspicious as to what other information is being collected in the background, despite the developer’s statement that they collect no user data.

### 1/5 — Prototype application at best

*2026-01-15*

First issue is you can’t hook up the camera to a wifi or LTE network, but it’s a complicated login process where you establish a bluetooth connection first to start the wifi router inside the camera (!). Then it connecting to the camera to change setting or download photos takes a minute at least and has a 70% failure rate when I try it with my iPhone even when I’m standing right in front of the camera. Then the camera doesn’t detect animals smaller than my 25 lbs dog. Also downloading fotos takes forever, about half a minute per foto. Very dissapointing user experience.

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2025-12-03, version 1.1.3*

While my trail cam works well, the app offers no benefit beyond showing me the image where the camera is pointing when I pair the camera and my iPhone. Other than that, it doesn’t show any saved images or allow me to check the cam remotely. And I have to be standing right next to the trail cam to get them to connect. I would love to find a Help/Troubleshoot guide.

### 1/5 — Not up to the job

*2025-10-21, version 1.1.3*

I should’ve paid closer attention to the reviews before buying the camera. The connectivity is very poor. Even being only a few metres away, it’s a long and painful process to connect to the camera and will not connect at all if there’s the slightest obstruction. Overall, a poor quality product in this age of good tech all around us.

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2025-10-20, version 1.1.3*

Camera wont connect to wifi even if phone next to it. Phone picks up camera wifi signal then app says cant connect. If on the odd occasion you get connected app gives message ‘cant sync data’. App freezes often. Snail pace downloads if you can get connected. Developer suggestions dont work. I have great wifi, latest iphoe and ipad everything running latest software but developer seems to think the problem is my wifi, my setup, or the camera - anything but the app! From the reviews other people have similar issues to mine! Fix it!!
I am probably going to return the camera as although it has great pictures and functionality this app is so useless as to render it not as advertised.

### 1/5 — App broken for a year

*2025-09-27, version 1.1.3*

This camera worked great. Then, about a year ago (?) it became impossible to retire my photos/videos. The camera itself works fine, but the app no longer works and the company doesn’t seem to care to fix it.

### 1/5 — Dead location

*2025-08-20, version 1.1.3*

Will not work without giving my location. You don’t need my location to use a camera. So this camera and app are useless without my location.

### 1/5 — Never worked

*2025-08-11, version 1.1.2*

I needed to download this app for a trail cam I bought off Amazon. The camera and software never worked. Huge disappointment. Not impressed.

### 1/5 — No on line help

*2025-06-28, version 1.1.2*

Camera not working no manual on line. Unit is useless.

### 1/5 — No Longer Works

*2025-06-10, version 1.1.2*

Loved this camera when I first got it, but now it won’t connect to my phone at all.
Can’t even reinstall the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wild trial camera

*2025-12-06, version 1.1.3*

It won’t connect by Bluetooth to my camera

### 5/5 — No problems

*2025-09-17, version 1.1.3*

This app works well with my TC22 solar powered trail and hunting camera. I’ve been using it for some time without problems. I can view files and download them to my iPad via the app without opening the camera which is great. I haven’t had any connection problems. The camera doesn’t always seem to trigger fast enough at night to capture movement but that isn’t the fault of the app.

### 5/5 — Wildlife cam

*2025-01-02, version 1.0.7*

I believe a lot of the problems people are encountering are simply they don’t read or understand the instructions, for instance you must not have any VPN switched on or active, I encounter people who don’t know what a VPN is, and expect camera to work, it never uses your own online data to download pictures only local WiFi, remembering that it isn’t your router WiFi but local between camera and phone directly, a good read and comprehension always helps

### 5/5 — Works well

*2024-12-05, version 1.0.7*

Does the job. Not the prettiest app but everything works as it should. I suspect the bad reviews are from folks who are doing something wrong and getting frustrated. For example, you have to have no VPN active for this to work.

### 5/5 — Simple and easy to use

*2024-03-24*

Very convenient, connected instantly didn’t even need to take down the camera

### 4/5 — Good so far

*2024-12-27*

The WiFi on the CEYOMUR 4K trail camera is for checking the field of view when you are next to and framing your pictures. the broadcast distance is only about 34 feet. If you try to connect beyond that distance it will take longer or fail outright. The app functions quite well. One should use a usb C cable to transfer photos from the camera chip to a iPhone or PC. the format of the card itself is not PC compatible. So far, great camera and a good ap.

### 4/5 — Functional

*2024-05-03, version 1.0.2*

App works as described. It takesabout 30 seconds to connect to the camera but I don’t blame the app for this. You do have to exit the app or it makes it difficult to reconnect the next time . I like being able to change camera settings remotely. This is a nice feature.

### 4/5 — Works good now

*2024-01-21*

Had trouble hooking up with Bluetooth at first competing with other devices, but now it’s connecting fine from within the house, it being about40 ft away.

### 4/5 — Nice addition to the camera 4.5 stars

*2024-01-01*

I’m reviewing the app on its on merits and not with the camera

4 stars -Connectivity to the camera is a little slow but nothing major. I start connecting as I approach and about 15 seconds later I’m connected.

5 stars- Never had a problem connecting 15-20 ft away

5 stars -The app provides an easy way to configure the camera without having to open the back and toggle through the various screens

4 stars -One of the few trail cameras that provides an app to download pics and videos. Speed of download isn’t instant but satisfactory

4 stars- basic needs for the camera are good but nothing fancy.

### 4/5 — A more positive review

*2023-11-02*

I have purchased two wifi trail cams, one a single lens cam and the other a two lens cam. Both connect to my iPhones and iPad through this app. At first there is a little learning curve with it. The app connects to the camera via bluetooth which in turn turns the camera’s wifi connection on. One then connects the mobile device to the wifi access point being broadcast by the cam. Yes, the downloads to the mobile can take a while. You can speed this up by having the cam save lower resolution pics and videos. (Do you really need 48 mp pics?). Although the user interface isn’t terribly intuitive, you figure it out after a couple uses. There is a switch at the bottom to toggle between photo/ video. Select and download the pics/videos you want and they are in the Local Album accessed from the Main Screen of the app. They are also accessible in a local folder titled Wildlife Cam in the Photos App on my iDevices. This is where I usually view and manage them.

What do I like most about this setup? I like the fact that I do not have to remove the sd card from the camera. Have you ever dropped a micro sd card in the leaves in the woods and then tried to find it? I have spent much more time searching in the leaves than I have waiting for the wifi camera downloads!
