I can focus on creating the best work for my clients and leave the administration work to Willa which is worth it! Willa has changed the game and going to be doing really cool things with creators in the future, I can feel it coming. Unfortunately I can’t use the Willa app for all of my clients for various reasons, but the ones I have used it for has been a smooth experience. Also, they have STELLAR customer service and occasionally run super helpful workshops. This app is brilliant and a must-have for freelancers & contractors! Once your work is done as a creator it becomes very frustrating to have to wait 30, 60, or even 90 days to get paid for your work. Not to mention when you have to chase after brands to remind them to pay you, or follow up about payment deadlines. Willa makes this process so much easier and less stressful. Just submit the contact information of the brand to Willa as well as amount of payment and they take care of all the hard work for you! Here I am getting paid immediately instead of having to wait 1-2 months! It is so frustrating when you keep hearing “I’ll pay you later tonight”, “I’ll get you tomorrow” and constantly having to follow up-I don’t even want to think about the longest I’ve had to get paid. Willa makes it really easy to send invoices and get paid and instantly cash out, no surprises or having to hunt people down and waste time messaging them. Will only use this from now on. I cannot explain how much time I have had to dedicate to basically working accounts receivable and sometimes a collections agent. Since Willa has come into my business, I have saved so much time, energy and emotional distress of not having to keep excel sheets of who has paid and who hasn't. Or having to wait on the company's timeline of 30, 60 or even 90 net days to get paid on their timeline. Not having to follow up with emails to try to get paid for the work I have already done is such a relief. The weight that Willa has taken off of my shoulders is immeasurable. Being able to get paid right after I have done the work, check it off my list and move on to my next job is so fantastic. I can work on getting my next job instead of spending my time "following up." I've only had a question here or there for the Willa team and they have always been easy to connect with and very helpful. Willa has my back and I can easily access the company’s staff for any questions or concerns through text or email. Their responses are quick and they take the time to personally resolve any requests. Willa allows me to get paid instantly for my creative work and takes away the hassle and stress of having to bill and send invoices to businesses that take forever to fulfill invoices. As a content creator and influencer, Willa has not only been a dream come true, but a must have in my work space. ### 5/5 — Awesome Tool For Freelancers/Contract Work *2022-01-19, version 1.4.19* I’m so happy I found Willa! There are some projects I work on that require up to a net90 pay period and it used to be stressful to have to wait so long for work that’s already been done. Willa changed all of that by allowing me to invoice my clients and get paid right away. I can’t even say what a huge help it’s been, especially during the pandemic! They also reach out to the clients to ensure payments are made on time, so no more time of my own spent following-up. Their customer service is wonderful. I can call, email, or even text them, and usually get a response in less than a day. I also love that they are constantly improving the app after suggestions from people who actually use it. I’ve been paid instantly and Willa handles the collection portion which is nobody’s favorite job anyways. I have enough to worry about between 3 little kids, one needy husband and taking on content jobs. I don’t want to hassle business partners for payment anymore than I hassle my kids to clean their room. I was on the phone with one of the representatives when sent my first invoice and they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. They provide brands with a PDF invoice and W9. They do all the heavy lifting for you, and your history of payments are all found in one place… perfect for tax purposes! My money was available to me in seconds and deposited within 1-3 days. The brand pays Willa, and you’re no longer the middle man! I love this app so much! For those that value their time it’s a must to let their service and team handle payments and follow up with clients. Being an influencer isn’t as easy as it looks. It’s enjoyable but it also means having a lot of jobs in one. One of them is being on top of accounting and if you’re like me, numbers are not something you like to deal with. Unless you need to get paid. This is where Willa comes in and makes things easier. Especially when brands take so long to pay (in the regular world a job gets paid after it’s finished, well not in the social media world! Their user face is so easy to navigate the best thing is all of the time they save me by fronting payments. Anyone who is a freelancer knows that their clients usually pay late, not to mention Net30, 60, or 90 days after a campaign wraps. There is no other app like this right now where you get paid as soon as you finish the job, and it’s unreal that freelancers don’t need to worry about payments like they used to. ### 5/5 — Life Changed *2022-01-18, version 1.4.19* Not to be dramatic, but Willa has changed my life. Set aside the fact that the app is designed BEAUTIFULLY, and I always enjoy my experience actually using it, but I can’t describe how spoiled I feel being able to access my money IMMEDIATELY! No strings attached, and the fee is super fair IMO. My mind is always at ease, my money is in my pocket and the additional resources the company offers are unmatched. And they offer the occasional bonus! I also think it’s important to mention that if you make a mistake with your invoice, it’s super easy to fix and customer service is great. I once had a client send me a check that Willa had already paid me, and I was easily able to settle the amount with them via email and a transfer through PayPal. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Stay away from this app *2023-06-01* Signing up for and using Willa turned out to be one of the WORST “too good to be true” experiences of my professional life. Willa was built on a complete lie and they’ve seemingly used people such as myself, whom they originally courted to subscribe, as tools to build their corporate brand database - which they are now selling to a new breed of aspiring creators. Once Willa got what they needed from the first group of subscribers (and I’m guessing raised capital based on that user “demand”) they dropped the facade and “pivoted” into something completely useless to the original users. I’d strongly urge anyone thinking of signing up to read through all of the reviews as well as in between the lines. If you decide to sign up for Willa, I suggest not getting too comfortable with any of the services offered as those services may not be permanent and you may not be given ample notice about changes to those services. Best of luck! ### 1/5 — No Longer Offering Early Cash-outs *2023-03-21* I’ve been a longtime user of Willa practically since day 1. The early cash out feature made it possible for me to do freelance work for a living as many of my clients have net60 or even net90 terms that make it impossible to pay bills on time. This was the ENTIRE purpose and selling point of Willa when I signed up. The last few months I’ve noticed tons of changes to the app - some helpful but most confusing. Today I tried to send an invoice and was told the early cash outs are no longer available for the foreseeable future. This was the reason Willa was created and now it’s just gone. I received no notification from the app prior to reaching out to customer service and I was counting on this invoice to be paid asap for my work finances. Now I have to completely change things with no notice. There’s no reason to use Willa without this feature. I’ll just continue with one of my other invoicing programs. ### 1/5 — Stay away from this app! *2023-01-25, version 2.0.27* The idea of using this app initially excited me, but then I realized that anyone you send a bill to, Willa will resell the information to other influencers. When I contacted brands through their email offerings, none of the brands had heard of them. That's when I realized they were reselling contact information. Additionally, their customer service team is not helpful or respectful. My time was wasted after being referred by the founder. Keep this third party out of your business by sending invoices yourself! I have found all influencer billing apps to be extremely counterproductive. Because Willa provided a collection agency, I thought this app was different. The concept is sound, but the execution is poor. The customer service team has not taken my concerns seriously and has not been able to provide satisfactory solutions. Moreover, they have been unresponsive and disrespectful during interactions. The company also seems to be relying heavily on marketing tactics that are misleading and deceptive in nature. I believe these practices are unacceptable and plan to take legal action. ### 1/5 — Don’t do it! THIS APP IS A SCAM!!! *2022-12-05, version 2.0.22* I first started using Willa early on, about two years ago. It was great. For a while. Then they did an update and everything went haywire. They started making me accountable for accounts they were unable to collect on. So not only was I working for “free” but then I was then being asked to pay what the client owed me! They tried to tell me that they hadn’t received payments on several accounts but when I contacted the clients they did indeed show me proof they had paid Willa! Then when I contacted will they would just tell me they “had no record of it” or that I had accidentally invoiced the client twice and the client paid only one of the invoices and that Willa had given me cash out on the second invoice! Not true! THIS APP IS A SCAM!! I always made sure my clients had paid before I took any cash out of my balance. I emailed them several times making sure clients had paid them before I took the cash just so this wouldn’t happen! But here they are now telling me I owe them! I also invoiced two big invoices on a client for $1375 each and Willa ended up taking nearly all of it and only gave me about $200 on each! THEY STOLE MONEY ON INVOICES CLIENTS OWED ME!!! Do yourself a favor and run far away from this app! I wish someone would’ve earned me but instead now I’m getting collection calls from Willa saying I still owe them on invoices my “clients didn’t pay” but they did! ### 1/5 — False advertisement, horrible experience *2022-10-20, version 2.0.15* False advertisement. They claim they will take care of any invoice and if brand does not reply or pay it’s their problem ( they have it on the site + frequently asked questions ) but this is not true. They are not willing to loose money, so they just overdraft your account instead. Big brands do not like to work with Willa. You look bad sending this because most of the time you’re not directly in contact with the financial department, so the email you give that you’ve been in contact with is not even the person paying you. So it can get a little messy. My advice is do not go through Willa, wait the 30,60 + days to get paid and look good with brands. Willa is not a reliable source. They are a 3rd party and will not loose, they just want money. So you’re better off keeping a good relationship with a brand. They should be taken down. ### 1/5 — Update: NOT So great *2021-08-16, version 1.3.3* REPORT THIS APP AS FRAUDULENT. I do not need a reply from anyone working for this company. Don’t try to save face. You’re a scam. Ileft a glowing review upon joining this app thinking it could be the payment solution to all my problems of not being able to cleanly collect payments from two clients I did work for and spent my time on. I SHOULD HAVE READ AND LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS. This app is a scam. Idk if they created this to con money out of investors for their startup or what but they’re not interested at all in having this app be actually used by people. They cancelled my request to my clients and I wanted to test the Cashout feature since they gave that $50 bonus for new signups . I needed to test this app so I requested from myself also $1. I wanted to see the client side experience. I won’t see that dollar every again because that’s how this app is. They banned me from the app also. Like many others here. I think we need to start a class action lawsuit against this company. You need to heed this warning, DO NOT USE THIS APP. ### 2/5 — Something’s up *2023-02-06, version 2.0.28* I haven’t had Willa in awhile. I deleted it awhile back and I been gettting messages about someone trying to like use my account and buy 400$ worth of something?? But dw I didn’t get charged good thing. They tried stealin 400$ 2 times. It’s weird to explain but I got a text saying “glacier alert: a payment of 426$ was attempted” sent twice. Then a day ish later after that happened I got a text saying Willa approved my account. I don’t even have a account anymore. I deleted the app like a while ago lol. Soooo what is up? Y’all trying to take the 400$? Or is those different situations. And Bc it’s all becoming a coincidence. But hey I didn’t get charged officially. Just stay back. I deleted this app. Pls don’t text me anymor. ### 5/5 — was a Game Changer- and then it changed. *2024-06-23* I used to rely on this app for everything, as you can see below, but then they changed their product offering completely to make it an AI coach for freelancers with no early access to funds. I don't need an AI coach so I no longer use Willa. It was nice while it lasted! ---- I’ve been using Willa to invoice my clients for a year, and I can’t tell you enough how much peace of mind it brings to have the money to pay your bills up front. Usually as a freelancer one has to wear ALL of the hats, including chasing down clients for late invoices. Not with Willa!! I can spend more time doing the work that I’m good at, which translates to more money in my bank account. The team has always been accessible, and that’s the highlight of it all. Because I would always hear how influencers make money creating content. But my first Experiences were horrible, I had to keep emailing the brands everyday and in three cases It took over 3 months to get paid. And I thought there has to be an easier way. That’s why I love Willa so much, they make the process so much easier and faster I am so grateful I found out about this app. I have been a freelancer for over a year now and I am so glad I found Willa. The worst feeling ever is finishing custom work for a brand, submitting/posting it, and then waiting a month or often even more to be compensated. When they don’t pay by the agreed upon date we are then forced to send countless follow up emails weeks or months after the job was completed. This is why I now send all of my invoices using Willa. 😎The client pays on a net-30 or whatever was agreed upon, while Willa pays me upfront. They essentially take responsibility for the invoice and do all of the follow up, if needed. You can withdraw your money next day for a small fee or do a standard withdrawal for free, which is my fave option.
