The rest of the time - including what I’m writing right now - do you have to fall back to the default keyboard. ### 4/5 — NICE! Their Mac app is not Electron, meaning that when I use my external display, there is absolutely zero delay! I find the accuracy to be incredible! However, on iOS, I notice a fair amount of issues. 1. When I switch between the Willow keyboard and the iOS keyboard, after a few minutes, the haptic feedback that I have enabled on my iOS keyboard will go away, and I will have to force kill the Willow app to get it back. This is incredibly annoying. 2. The little animation that indicates that voice input is being received occasionally freezes and hangs up. 3. When I am using Termius to remotely access my terminals, the Willow keyboard is a different size than the iOS keyboard, which messes with the terminal redraw a good bit as well. I cannot get it to work in anything other than the first app I set up messenger. Just doesn't work well at all ### 1/5 — Beyond useless *2026-04-27* When I started using this app, it was actually pretty solid and I was impressed with the accuracy of the transcription. Unfortunately, overtime, it has become absolutely useless. While the interface on the iPhone is a model of inefficiency requiring you to do click galore only so that I can bring up a keyboard that makes it impossible to actually type the Mac application is probably even worse. It constantly has middleware failure issues. It keeps asking me to transcribe long passages that I was relying upon it to actually capture. And it crashes constantly despite frequent updates. I have a hard time understanding how people could rate it so well, except of course that they’re likely friends of the developers and paid endorsements. This is easily the most disappointing app. I’ve used in a long time. Especially because it makes me lose valuable information that I can’t get back. I asked for a refund on my annual contract and the company has refused and just said go ahead and keep the service for the rest of the year as if that were somehow a consolation.
