Most reports are two days old by the time we receive the hard copy. In addition, the sports coverage is very limited. Now you’ve decided to stop Saturday delivery. Also, we haven’t received the TV Guide since October. Where’s our more than $500/year going? We have chosen not to renew and will be getting our news from other sources, locally from Port City Daily. Is anyone out there? Surely, this unstable app can be improved upon. Not only does this App give you my home town news but also has other cities as well. Also having USA Today as an additional source is a plus to me. ### 4/5 — Some really good local reporters *2022-09-12, version 3.6.13* The Star-News used to be pretty boring will focus on national news, local sports and some local politics. Now we get reports on local development, local environmental concerns, lots of local things that were in the past have been just not talked about publicly. Perhaps this is in part do to the appearance of Port City Daily. In any case there are some very good reporters for news of local interest on the StarNews. Send them a note of thanks. I read the paper version in the morning but on Saturdays, it’s nice to have the digital backup since the paper one no longer comes. When the paper was discontinued I was so disappointed. BUT after a week of learning the online version I was sold. Many things are better this way.
