### 2/5 — 350 Legend Error

*2022-12-13*

When trying to use 350 Legend with Super X 180gr get error and no ballistic charts etc. Seems other 350 Legend are OK just the Super X 180gr does not work. Please fix.

### 2/5 — If it worked longer before crashing I might like it

*2022-05-12*

Another unfinished app from people who don’t know what they’re doing and couldn’t care less. I like the idea of this app but it’s not even finished. 5.56 mm ammo is listed five times with no differentiating info. You have to click each one in turn and see if it’s the one you want. The software publisher knows nothing about the ammo business; 5.56 mm 62 gr is listed as Valor but the 55 gr ammo in same series is not. I guess nobody cared enough to check for accuracy.

Looks like you can change the range intervals to see the zero points for the distance you shoot at, or what the target range distance is. The app crashed, however, before I could finish looking at the information. And to think software quality is only going to get worse. I like Winchester USA Valor ammo but I hope the ammo team stays with what it knows—and locks the doors when the software clowns try to share their so-called “expertise.”

On a positive note, I do appreciate the privacy policy that at least appears to respect customers somewhat.

### 1/5 — This IS F$CKING GARABGE

*2019-11-10, version 4.1*

Old app was unreal good. This version makes me want to inflict harm on stupid humans.
Bring back the one that worked.

### 1/5 — Do you Winchester guys ever read these reviews?

*2019-11-04, version 4.1*

How about fixing this App? I agree with all the others..... this App is useless. The old version was great

### 1/5 — Not worth it!

*2019-09-25, version 4.1*

Old version was great! But this one sucks

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-09-18, version 4.1*

App doesn’t work on iPhone 8

### 1/5 — If it only worked

*2019-06-09, version 4.1*

I use to love this app and it was great but It doesn’t work anymore. Please fix

### 1/5 — Current apt

*2019-04-29, version 4.1*

I used to use the old version which was simple to use and gave you a pretty accurate picture of bullet drop and it was easy for a basic shooter to use in the field. The new version is garbage.Don’t waste your time

### 1/5 — The older version was better

*2019-04-12, version 4.1*

This app is useless

### 1/5 — What happened to you Winchester..?

*2019-02-21, version 4.1*

I’m deeply saddened by the fact that y’all would pay to have negative feedback shot down. What.. who.. it doesn't matter, you guys had an app that worked and was easy to use now it’s hectic and idiotic.. fire who ever you put in charge of this project and bring back the original developers.. C.W.

### 1/5 — Oops something went wrong

*2019-02-15*

Won’t open at all. Just says, Oops something went wrong, let’s try again. (It doesn’t try again)
Offshore coders sure are cheap!

### 2/5 — Zero distance

*2019-01-07*

When you set your zero distance under 35 yards the charts assume you're using the near zero but beyond that they assume you're using the far zero. I don't know anyone who zeros using the far zero (bullet travels in an arc that intersects sight line twice)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-01-01*

At one time it was useful but updates have made it useless. If you want to know what ammo Winchester makes it’s good but for anything else, nothing.

### 1/5 — Not an improvement

*2018-12-28, version 4.1*

Go to the Federal site they have one that is simple to use and it works.

### 1/5 — Wish I could rate it “0”

*2018-12-27, version 4.1*

Why did they have to foul up a perfectly adequate calculator? And why can’t they fix the darn thing?

### 1/5 — They ruined it.

*2018-12-23*

This used to be an awesome app, now it’s 98% useless, no data anywhere just a pic of where the bullet will it. Why did you have to fix something that wasn’t broke!

### 3/5 — Found a glitch, and need some tweaks.

*2018-12-09, version 4.1*

Edited to update: The “energy” calculation is broken for all of your shotgun slugs. It shows “0 ftlbs” for most. Please repair, thanks. Now it would seem to me that you have no intention of reverting to the old version, or you’d have done it by now. So a few suggestions to tweak the current one and pull the ratings back up a bit. First, ditch the need for a data connection. Data is not available where I hunt, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who was originally drawn to your app because it was one of the few that was available offline. Second, you make it quite a chore to input all of your criteria to get the results you’re looking for, but by simply tapping the button in the bottom left corner, it takes you back to the home screen in one shot, and erases everything you’ve put in so far. At least label it as “start over” or something. Third, in the “scope sight” view, please add a field in the margins that lists a few of the current specs in brief text form. The range, and wind mostly. It’s kind of silly to have to navigate back and forth between pages to check the specs. and the app is a confusing mess. Im going to up my review to 3 stars, as I DO like the scope view and placement indicator (better that the useless bullseye in the old version). But a Five star review is just a few tweaks away. Thanks guys.

### 1/5 — Does not even work!

*2018-12-08*

At one time this was the best ballistic app. Now all it does is say “oops something went wrong” and give you links to Winchester’s web sight. Which is worthless! Winchester, please do not take any advise from your app development team when producing or perfecting any of your ammo!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worthless to me

*2023-11-15*

Unfortunately, the previews reviews are correct. I used to really enjoy using this app - now I can’t even pull my ammo up within it. Worthless to me now - thanks Winchester. 🙁

### 1/5 — Low on features

*2022-05-23, version 5.0.3*

Graph didn’t correlate to sight in distance. No feature to show interval distances (ie 5yds or 20 yds, etc)

### 1/5 — No good anymore

*2020-10-08, version 4.1*

This app used to be great but know it’s just junk useless

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-09-06, version 4.1*

The old version was fantastic
This this is junk.
Waste of time

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2020-08-03*

This app is hot trash doesn’t show me anything related to to my ammunition. It doesn’t even have any dope comparisons. Waste of time and will be deleting after I write this review.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2020-03-11, version 4.1*

Winchester should be embarrassed to have their name on a worthless app like this.

### 1/5 — Old calculator was SO MUCH BETTER

*2020-03-10, version 4.1*

Hate new calculator

Bring back old one back

You made a mistake

🙁

### 1/5 — It’s no good

*2020-01-27, version 4.1*

It froze 2 seconds after I opened the app for the first time and still won’t do anything

### 1/5 — Needs updating

*2019-12-31*

Doesn’t work anything like it used to. Ballistics chart comparison is gone and the app isn’t useful at all. Used to be much better.

### 1/5 — No good

*2019-11-27, version 4.1*

Haven’t used this in a while , went to check a few calibers and I have no idea what’s happening

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Much improved

*2022-12-22*

Very useful and much simpler

### 5/5 — Does what it is supposed to do

*2020-05-03, version 4.1*

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Give you ballistic at any time with the provided information.

Excellent.

### 5/5 — New Updates Fixed Some Issues

*2015-01-22, version 3.0.4*

There were some dumb issues when I first updated to the new version of this app, but with the new updates they put out it fixed a bunch of them like the drop on targets, the sliders are fixed, and it looks like some crappy data was updated. I like the easyness of this now. The old version was ugly to me.

### 5/5 — Made My First Long Distance Shot

*2013-07-03, version 2*

Used this app to fire at a pepper target from 200, 300 and 400 yards. Hit the target on the first pull at each distance based on the "click" adjustment recommended by this app. I have to admit I was not using Winchester ammo but the ballistics were spot on. Easy to use with the right firing solution for a kill on target. You can pay more for an app but this one has worked for me.

### 5/5 — Thanks for finally getting the app fixed!

*2012-05-10, version 2*

I've been wanting to download this app for a while now and thank god Winchester finally got it fixed. I refuse to use anything but their ammo because they have spoiled me with top of the line shots. If you want your bullets to pattern within cm of each other, use their ammo. Thanks for making quality stuff Winchester. The app is amazing for calculating bullet trajectory.

-Tim

### 5/5 — Works again!!!

*2012-01-24, version 2*

Great app! Was disappointed when it stopped working after upgrading to iOs 5. Decided to delete and then re-install. App seems to be operating normally. For those who experience problems after upgrading your phone, you may want to give this a try.

### 5/5 — It's FREE, so stop complaining!!

*2010-09-09, version 0*

This is a great application. The results with bullet types, weights, etc from other manufactures will yield "similar" results. Remember, this is only a guideline. Using this app in no way, shape or form, replaces practice at the range.

As far as those complaining about the lack of handgun calibers on this app, the only "true" handgun calibers that should be included are the bruisers, like 500 S&W, 460 S&W, 454 Casull, and maybe the 44 Mag. It's only these big bores that can reach out to game beyond 100 yards (humanely anyways). As far as the .380, 9mm, .40S&W, .45 ACP and other handgun rounds, they are not designed for accuracy beyond 50-75 yards at the most. Keep it real!

### 5/5 — Great calculator

*2010-04-28, version 0*

This app is great! I can easily calculate results for up to three ammo types, set conditions (like range, wind, sight height and temp), then hit 'shoot' to instantly see the results. The results are informative and easy to read. The landscape graph is a great touch! Thanks Winchester. I'd love to see more apps like this.

### 5/5 — Usefull App on the Range or in the Field

*2010-02-12, version 0*

This is a great app for the range or in the field. You can put in the conditions that you are shooting in (wind speed/direction, temp, etc...) and it will show you velocity, flight time, point of impact, trajectory, drop, and wind drift. I also like like that you can easily compare several different laods at the same time - it's great when trying to figure out which load will work best for the conditions your shooting in.

### 4/5 — Has anyone tested this with new iPad Air?

*2013-11-18, version 2*

Hi,
This works on my iPhone 5 and iPad 2 but can not get it going on iPad Air..
Tried two iPad and both hangs when you hit the “Shoot” button.
