### 3/5 — Received my WEATHERmeter

This is a very wonky app and the meter itself continues to tell me the meter is not connected and that I should purchase the meter even though I own one and have it in my hands! I was able to eventually get the meter calibrated but after several moments the meter shuts off and disconnects. I have to turn it back on and go through trying to get it to connect again. Maybe I got a bad battery with my wind meter?! The app itself wants me to download several other apps, yet the link within the app doesn’t go anywhere. I can hit the selection multiple times, yet it goes nowhere. This app feels like it was thrown together in a beta stage of development and you all pushed it out anyway. I’m disappointed…

How about updating your app on a regular basis? I already paid you $90 for a WeatherMeter I think it is reasonable to expect the least a developer should do is maintain the app current and 100% support new hardware/ iOS revisions. 

This app looks like crap on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Yet, apparently WeatherFlow thinks it’s ok to not update the app since 2020!

I like the real-time updates from the meter. That part works very well.

However, I do not like that the app doesn’t support large screens. It looks terrible on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. The buttons are huge and the app only uses about 3/4 of the screen. It would also be nice if there were more integration with the other Weather Flow apps. Like maybe let me tap something to go to or see my Tempest at home, or to a forecast for my location.

Handy for drone flying, it’d be indispensable with Apple Watch support and programmable warnings for user selectable wind speeds and/or direction changes. Also wish there was a wind vane mount to self orient.

I don’t know if it’s the software or the hardware, but it rarely works, regardless of the usual troubleshooting steps.  I wouldn’t waste my time if I could do it over again.  I’d just buy a standalone anemometer.

Spent $39.00 on the meter. App constantly crashes, fails to detect meter or is delayed in doing so, and the displayed wind speeds???  Highly suspect in terms off accuracy. Ought to work - but doesn't.  Cannot recommend at all.

There should be documentation specific to the instrument paired. I have a Windmeter and do not know if the firmware needs to be updated because the button doesn’t work. Can the data be displayed on ikite, I don’t know because there is no documentation? The background button is for what, I don’t know because there is no guidance. Why would the settings menu show weather elements that are not on the Windmeter, maybe they are, I don’t know? Also saving the observation does not save the description and changes the compass degrees to the cardinal directions, not good.

Bought the one that plugs into Earphone jack on a 6s+… Worked the first time, then stopped and never has since, app says no meter detected ….. A complete waste of $50

J’avais déjà acheté la version précédente avec prise jack qui fonctionnait de manière aléatoire avant de rendre définitivement l’âme au bout de 6 mois. 
Avec cette nouvelle version en Bluetooth je pensais résoudre le problème mais c’est pire ! Il n’a fonctionné que pour 2 relevés puis impossible, la connexion anémomètre /iPhone ne se fait plus. 
80€ à la poubelle, bref fuyez n’achetez pas ce produit !

Tried using this and still not sure if they lie or misconstrued whether or not the weather meter has a compass in it or not...  when the app is open but the weather meter is off I can see a button to use the compass and calibrate it.  As soon as the device turns on and connects the button DISAPPEARS and cannot be found and this worthless app does not display ANY compass or wind heading from my phone or the weather meter.  Total garbage!

Die Hardware ist super, gute Verarbeitung, hinreichend genau. Super.

Und das war dann schon alles positive. Die App ist seit der Zeit eines iPhone 4/4s nicht an die neuen Display-Größen angepasst worden. Alles sieht aus würde man eine seit 8 Jahren vollkommen vom Hersteller ignorierte App nutzen. War da nicht was Apple? Apps müssen die Displays unterstützen?

Bei den iPhones der neueren Generationen Xs, 11 und so (der Hersteller weiß vermutlich nicht einmal das Apple zig neue Geräte nach dem 4s auf den Markt gebracht hat) ist jetzt oben und unten ein riesiger schwarzer Rand. Aber, jetzt kann man die Buttons nicht mehr richtig drücken weil die die übrigen Inhalte der App überlagern oder selbst überlagert werden. Das Gerät ist damit ein 80€ teures Stück Sondermüll.

Aber wartet…! Da gab es dann doch ein Update am 14.10. – mit Optimierungen. Ja, jetzt kann man den Button wieder drücken. Dafür überlagern sich jetzt alle anderen Elemente in der App.

Entweder hat der Entwickler kein Gerät auf dem die App getestet wird oder die Hardware kauft echt kein Mensch weil die App direkt alle Interessenten abschreckt.

Und es ist gar nicht so schwer eine schicke App zu bauen. Der Hersteller hier hat die App von Vaavud übernommen. Die App wurde auch schon seit Jahren nicht aktualisiert weil Vaavud leider pleite gegangen ist. Aber selbst die Vaavud App sieht mindestens 10 Jahre moderner und besser angepasst aus als die Zumutung, die Weatherflow hier anbietet.

Die Hardware liegt in der Ecke weil die App nicht nur häßlich, langsam und altbacken aussieht, sondern weil es echt eine Beleidigung für die Kunden ist, ein solches Stück Software anzubieten. Ich würde mich echt schämen als Hersteller, denn das ist echt peinlich.

С iPhone 7 перестали делать отдельный вход aux для наушников, Подключение через переходник, и в итоге отдельное устройство анемометр перестало соединятся через переходник

One small and great weather station self contained in a Bluetooth unit. I have had this unit for over two years and I’m still happy with it even though I don’t use it all the time. When bad weather approaches I’ll use it to get the readings on the wind, wet bulb, bars, and all the other functions it has. Superb for fishing, hunting, shooting, droning, and forecasting the weather. Can you live without it? Yes but it’s a weather station in your pocket or hooked to a lanyard.

Nach letztem Update (2.53) jetzt einwandfreie Verbindung zum iPhone (über Adapterkabel). Anscheinend kümmert sich doch jemand um die Bugs. Soweit ich bis jetzt sehe, stehen alle Funktionn zur Verfügung und das kleine Animometer ist einfach schick!

I mean seriously, a 1-star review because you didn't know you needed an instrument to measure the wind??? I guess your phone has a built in anemometer, idiots.  Some people don't deserve to have smart phones and several of them are on this apps reviews.  Reading reviews for apps shows there is no hope for man kind, here's to hoping the wind blows you all away. Great product WeatherFlow!

I have been using the Weatherflow wind meter for 6 months now. It is great for paragliding and kitesurfing and helps me tell my friends what the conditions are like. I would recommend it! Accurately reports direction and wind speed for a fraction of the cost of most anemometers.
