Only recently have I noticed that the velocity bar has disappeared so I cannot increase or decrease the velocity of the wind. I have tried to uninstall and re install the app without success. Also I sent a email to the support line and that was a month ago. No one has answered yet. ### 5/5 — Fun and educational *2011-07-19, version 1.31* I love the interactive nature of this app. As a sailor, I now have a great way of explain the physics of sailing. It's amazing to be able to draw a foil and watch it interact with the fluid. The Venturi effect and Bernoullie's principle are easy to understand when you can see them in motion. Would love to see better drawing tools and a way to rotate drawings. ### 5/5 — Awesome App *2011-07-17, version 1.31* I am a Certified Flight Instructor and this app is an awesome tool I use to visually show my students how an airfoil produces lift due to the pressure changes. However, it would be nice if you could rotate the object(s) in the wind tunnel in order to visualize what the airflow is doing as we increase the angle of the object until it reaches an aerodynamic stall, and what the airflow is doing once we have reached the desired position. ### 5/5 — Great app *2011-07-13, version 1.31* Awesome real time visualisation of fluid flow in 2d. Why? He didn't want to 'give' anything to his existing customers by upgrading. Instead, he thought he would be clever (aka greedy) and put the upgraded features in a new version, thinking everyone will just happily accept this. If you buy the pro version, you support this bad business practice, and the same thing will likely happen to you with the next 'upgrade.' ### 2/5 — Wind tunnel pro? *2011-07-29, version 1.40* What a ripoff. You pay 1.99 for this app and now there's a new Wind Tunnel Pro for 2.99, with features that THIS app should have had from the beginning. Now what , am I supposed to pay more money for features that could have easily been included in an update. This app also needs a START and STOP button. Don't get me wrong, this app is fantastic and very educational, it works perfect. I just feel ripped off by the developer with that Wind Tunnel Pro BS.. ### 3/5 — Almost an interesting toy... *2013-01-05, version 1.42* Kind of intriguing initially, but the super course drawing tool eliminates almost all the useful features. What good are the crap shapes that you can preload when they appear to have been drawn by a 5 year old? Very frustrating cause its really close to being a truly useful visualization tool. The physics in this heads and shoulders above similiar programs I have come across on the app store. That said, the tools are somewhat lacking as far as adding in drawings. I feel like I would have to put an inordinate amount of time to create an object that I would feel would somewhat accurately represent the real world equivalent. However, I like to work on let's say a model car when I exit the app to play a game and relanch the app, it brings me back to the blank screen. Please put a saving thingy in this app so when you come back all your work isn't lost. ### 4/5 — Fun and Educational *2011-07-29, version 1.40* This app allows you to draw objects in a virtual wind tunnel so that you can visualize how it will perform when it hits a moving fluid (like air). Whether you want to see how the water is moving behind the rocks in the stream out back or you want to see what happens in that calm spot behind the semi barreling down the freeway, this app can give you those insights. The ability to place 'smoke' sources just about anywhere along or around your object let's you really zero in on the area of interest and highlight the activity there. What keeps Wind Tunnel from being five star (IMHO) is the rudimentary drawing system. You can draw any line you want as long as it's fat and freehand. The addition of a straight-line tool and some curves would go a long way as would allowing various line thickness. With what is currently available you'll find it challenging to create any object that doesn't resemble pre-school "art work". And while I realize that you won't be using this app to test the next super-airliner, it would be nice to be able to draw a model that could differentiate between a dump truck and a Tonka pull-behind. This is a good program...and more than slightly awesome to have running on my phone...and with some minor updates it could be a great program. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Paid Version not Available?!?!?! *2022-09-19, version 1.51* Would LOVE to get the paid version!!!
