## What is WindMaster Airgun Ballistics?

WindMaster is a ballistic calculator and wind reading trainer for precision airgun shooters.

The application provides you a full ballistic solver for your air rifle and pellet, then lets you practice reading wind through a simulated scope whenever you cannot get to the range.

BALLISTIC CALCULATOR
• Pellet specific aerodynamic drag model, built for diabolo projectiles
• Ballistic coefficient and muzzle velocity per profile, multiple rifle profiles
• Full atmosphere: temperature, altitude, station or sea level pressure, humidity
• Trajectory tables and graphs
• Inclined shot solutions
• Wind Areas: set different wind along the lane and see the path from above
• POI Reticle: your live point of impact projected onto your own reticle
• Wind Table: wind drift at every distance, read straight off your reticle marks
• HFT Dope Card: a holdover card for your own reticle, ready to print or share
• Field calibration for scope height, BC and speed, and your scope click value
• Measure ballistic coefficient from two chronograph readings

WIND, THE PART THAT TAKES YEARS
• Live gusting wind that keeps changing while you aim
• Windicator and flag give you the same partial clues as a real course
• Wind Observation: watch a lane and see the correct hold appear on the reticle
• Windicator trainer: record your own thread angle to wind speed table
• Wind Quiz: wind problems generated from your own rifle and pellet
• Bluetooth anemometer support for live field conditions

REAL SCOPES AND RETICLES
• Over 20 reticles taken from real scopes, including Sightron, Schmidt & Bender, Falcon, Element, Optisan, Delta, Nikko Stirling, Hawke, Valiant and Bushnell
• Correct magnification and true second focal plane behaviour
• Elevation turret with clicks and turns, using your own click value

PRACTICE AND SIMULATION
• Field Target: 9 to 50 m, knockdown silhouettes and kill zones, three levels
• Hunting Field Target: forced stances and inclined lanes
• Bench Rest: the official 25 box card at 25 or 50 m, regulation scoring with X count tiebreak
• Free practice, plus long range out to 300 m
• Online multiplayer: every shooter faces the same seeded course, with live rival progress

TRAINING LOG
• Record real range sessions, hit or miss per shot, notes and photos
• Conditions captured with the session
• Export and import your whole log

Free to download, with FT, HFT and Bench Rest practice included. The branded scope reticles and Field Calibration tools unlock with one payment. No subscription.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.0.77 — 2026-10-07

- New MAX WIND slider on the GAME FT, HFT and BR setup screens. Each difficulty level starts at its own wind and remembers your own setting separately. Turning the max down makes the whole level lighter, gusts included, so HARD stays HARD, only calmer. AUTO brings back the level's default. Multiplayer matches always use the level's standard wind, so both players face the same conditions.
- Training log: a new Competition switch marks a session as a competition rather than a practice. On the Graph, the new Competition view puts your competition results beside your training ones, with the average of each, for hits and for hit rate. The Graph's axis buttons now sit on two rows so they all fit on smaller phones.
- Fixed a crash on launch after installing an older version over a newer one, for example when leaving a TestFlight build for the App Store version.

### 4.0.73 — 2026-10-03

WindMaster now speaks Catalan and Basque, its twelfth and thirteenth languages.
Two new reticles on the Versatile tab: the Vector Optics Veyron SCOM-41 and SCOC-43 (MPR-V5 Mil), with a red illuminated centre dot.
New setting: hide the wind speed in GAME and read it off the windicator.
The magnification arc can stop between its marks (11x, 13x...). Turn it off in Settings.
BC shows four decimals, and the Field Calibration gear opens the Ballistic settings.

### 4.0.70 — 2026-09-29

- WindMaster now speaks Turkish, its eleventh language.
- New reticle on the Field Target tab: the March X MRT-FT, with a red illuminated option.
- LOG TRAINING graph: sessions numbered in order, hits read against a full course (50 FT, 42 HFT), and each dot shows its value.
- Four more reasons to log a FAIL, including "Not focused" and "Forgot to move the buttplate".

### 4.0.68 — 2026-09-26

### 4.0.66 — 2026-09-25

- Two new first focal plane scopes for Hunting FT: Vortex Viper EBR-4 and Athlon Argos APMR Mil.
- Wind speed in m/s, alongside km/h and mph.
- Pick your own mix of close, mid and far targets in GAME FT and HFT.
- Back now pauses a single player game instead of ending it, with the clock stopped.
- Every screen has a back arrow, and the Wind Table gains a length to marks converter.
