### 1/5 — Crash crash crash crash

*2022-10-05, version 2.1*

That about sums it up. I was finally able to view details of my device, but that’s it. Everything else causes the app to crash and give me a message that it’s sent debugging data to Winegard. This app (as well as the gateway GW-1000) that goes with it are pretty much useless. Huge disappointment.

### 1/5 — To all purchasing Winegard equipment ..

*2022-09-13, version 2.1*

If you are expecting this app to work seamlessly, or even at all, you have a giant surprise coming!

I am using this app only to (attempt to) control the Trav’ler satellite antenna and it works maybe 10% of the time, if that. I have a slight chance to deploy the antenna via this app the first time, then it refuses to work any further and I have to go to the control box.

As for connection to the phone in the first place, this interface is a joke. There are menus and buttons required to be pushed for no reason whatsoever like it’s being set up for the first time. It’s amazing how poorly this wasn’t thought out.

If you want a Trav’ler antenna, great! If you expect ANYTHING from this app at all, keep dreaming and just run it from the local control box because I doubt anything with Winegard will change. The reviews speak for themselves: They could care less

### 1/5 — Absolute crap

*2022-09-06, version 2.1*

Good luck. This thing will not recognize any Wi-Fi or cell. Try calling support, it would be less time consuming to get a hold of an irs agent

### 1/5 — Only works on initial setup

*2022-08-27, version 2.1*

Winegard has got some real work to do on this app. The initial setup of the app shows all the controls promised, however don’t try to use it a second time as non of the promised screens appear. Seems to be a strikeout for a company that says it is a technology company

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even work

*2022-08-14, version 2.1*

The app crashes on 4/5 of the buttons and just says it contacted winegard support(it didn’t)app simply doesn’t work I’ve made better apps with my 4 hours of python experience

### 1/5 — Just horrible

*2022-08-10, version 2.1*

Trying to switch from 4G to WiFi. Had to reboot the app whilst scanning for networks. Ever since then the app crashes. I can’t even switch back to 4G! I’ve removed and reinstalled the app twice. This is the worst user experience I can imagine and I have a good imagination.

### 1/5 — Please fix the app.

*2022-07-15, version 2.1*

Had to do reset after switching from Wi-Fi to 4G, now the app says it does recognize the very Ssid that I’m connected to when I try to reconnect. FIX THIS PLEASE, I’m currently out $100 for the minutes I prepaid that I cannot use!!!!!

### 1/5 — More of a headache than it’s worth

*2022-07-12, version 2.1*

To use this app to configure your Winegard router, you have to be connected to that routers network. When you’re connected to that routers network, the app crashes. If by chance you’re able to log into the router through the app, it freezes and you can’t configure the data sources. It’s a low budget app for an expensive piece of not very good equipment.

### 1/5 — Do not waste your time or money

*2022-07-05, version 2.1*

Our new trailer came with the Air360+. We jumped right out and purchased the gateway and paid for a month of service. Please do not follow our poor decision. The service will stay connected only for moments at a time, and though the application says it connected to the Winegard service , there is no internet access. The application itself rarely runs and has difficulty getting past the loading screen.

### 1/5 — Worst App I’ve ever been forced to use

*2022-07-03, version 2.1*

Absolutely the worst app I’ve ever been FORCED to use for a product. Constantly crashes. If the equipment wasn’t already installed, I’d return it just because of this app. Total garbage. I will NOT recommend Winegard to anyone just because of this app.

### 1/5 — Extremely Buggy

*2022-06-30, version 2.1*

One of the worst apps ever. Very clunky and not user friendly at all. I wish there were other options. Not impressed at all.

### 1/5 — App. is awful.

*2022-06-27, version 2.1*

I am having difficulty getting the app. to work long enough to set up the service. It is freezing-when it does come up it tells me there is an error and it is being reported to Winegard. I have been trying for 3 days!
Wishing I had not spent so much money on the product.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2022-05-27, version 2.1*

App shuts down anytime I try to use it. Terrible. You would think for price they are selling the router for this app would be a little better.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2022-03-28, version 2.1*

You would think with as much as all the equipment costs to even need this app, that they would be able to afford to hire decent app developers .. evidently, that is not the case with this company.

### 1/5 — App could be great

*2022-03-05, version 2.1*

If the app Would load it would be great as when it does load it is very good. Problem is it will not load and just closes time and time again. It takes about 30 tries to get it to load. They no this is a issue and yet so nothing to make a fix for it. Don’t creat an app if you do not have people that know how to work on codes to fix issues.

### 1/5 — Winegard App.

*2022-03-03, version 2.1*

If I could rate at ZERO that would be great.

If you connect two cans with a string that would work better than what they offer. Read the literature and our 4G is T-Mobile. Not reliable. NOT RELIABLE.

The complete winegard connect 2.0+ 4G system is not reliable . The company including customer service to the CEO does not care that they are selling an inferior product and severely lacking in customer service. If you call customer service you will talk to a person that has no experience in technical matters and cannot transfer you to a Customer Service manager or to an engineer for technical assistance. You cannot contact Any member of management.

The systems app is not reliable and fails to connect to the winegard on the roof whether inside or outside.

They currently have no 5G system

### 1/5 — Glitchy and hardly usable

*2021-12-18, version 2.1*

The app is not user friendly it glitches and keeps getting disconnected among other things and when you have to purchase more data you get sent to a non mobile friendly website.

It’s a very expensive upgrade for your campers and it’s a really disappointing experience getting it all set up.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Junk 5 years ago still Junk today

*2023-11-02*

I really don’t understand why RV manufactures are drilling holes in their roofs for this crap equipment. Winegard must be giving them away and then manufactures can advertise they have a Wifi/internet product. I bought one in 2018 and it was a complete joke then. Just took delivery of new Entegra Class B and it is the same junk hardware/software as 5 years ago. Sad there is this thing mounted to my roof that is like a parasite. I will remove it eventually to make room for more Solar. Stay clear.

### 1/5 — Just trash. absolute trash.

*2023-10-29*

Downloaded to try and get the log file from the connect 2.0 and start a service ticket. First problem is the connect 2.0 isn’t listed in the device list. It’s under Other.
Then you need an account. Then when you try to submit a service ticket. your information needs to be filled in again. That’s IF you ever get that far. It crashed 5 times and then all I could get was a server error.

### 1/5 — Product doesn’t matter if app is trash

*2023-07-23*

I can’t even register my device. The app doesn’t even let you set it up. It won’t let you select a device from the serial number. Such a buggy app. Why are they even selling them for so expensive if they can invest in an app that actually works. Why are all the reviews negative. Fix your app! It doesn’t matter how good your product is, if people can’t use the app!!!

### 1/5 — App is trash, product is not.

*2023-07-19*

This app is a piece of garbage. Deleted and downloaded several times and it crashes 99.9% of the time. Last update was 2018. Not sure why they sell this product with instructions on to specifically download this app to connect the 2.0 Winegard WiFi dome. I purchased the SIM card version dome. Downloaded the “Halo RV” app to connect it to which works but doesn’t get the option to do automatic updates through app and still have to do it manually. Both apps definitely need work.

### 1/5 — Nope.

*2023-02-23, version 2.1*

Imagine an app where you have to connect to the internet and authenticate to configure the device that you need to configure so that you can access the internet. What could possibly go wrong? Once you get past that - if you can; you’re blessed with an interface that looks like it’s straight out of 2002, with a dated UI and functionality that rivals a torture device. One would think that as much as they charge for their devices they could hire a real developer.

### 1/5 — App never works.

*2023-02-16, version 2.1*

It’s pretty simple. You need this app for your winegard to work, but there’s a catch…it never works, so you can use the product you bought. Good luck setting it up!

### 1/5 — Pay for trash

*2023-02-08, version 2.1*

I have spent three days trying to connect with the winegard 1000 and it will connect but then drops out in two seconds!
Now I cannot log into any of the multiple logins they have so basically I have a fancy do nothing bowl on top of the trailer!
Thanks for truth in advertising! It made you a bunch of money and took a lot of weight out of my pocket! I know you guys won’t read this or I might have been meaner!

### 1/5 — Zero Stars - Almost Useless

*2022-11-18, version 2.1*

This application should be removed from the App Store. I can’t write anything positive. I’m so angry with Winegard support now I could spit nails.

### 1/5 — Winegard connected app

*2022-10-07, version 2.1*

Piece of crap. Once you close the app about the settings, never come back so you can’t modify any of your settings, Winegard you really need to fix your app.

### 4/5 — Why Is Everyone So Angry?

*2022-01-05, version 2.1*

I don’t understand why people are calling this app horrendous. The UI is easy to navigate and functional. I did my initial setup for the ConnecT 2.0 4G2 totally on the app with no issues. I also haven’t had any problems using the app while camping. Switching from WiFi to 4G LTE cellular is very easy with the app. I even registered my device with Winegard on the app. What else does everyone want lol? The version of the app at the time of this review works just fine.

### 4/5 — Patients

*2019-11-04, version 1.3*

This app works.
The setup is missing a few things, I think!
Can’t tell as I’m not ready to do the process a 3rd time.
I screwed it up the 1st time but that’s the “AT&T “ crap.
This app running on my iPhone XR is slow considering the speed of native apps.
That said the UI is nice, but the speed when changing from 4G LTE to WiFi do take a few ticks.
Take a breath or watch the screen AND don’t use while driving!!
Let the navigator operate.
As for any dealings w AT&T well that another issue.
After you set up an account w them JUST STAY IN the Connected app.
Should have #3 but I’m sure w a few updates I’d even go 5 stars..

### 3/5 — Updated: Blank Screen?

*2021-10-01, version 2.1*

The latest version of this app (updated a week ago) only brings up a blank screen for me. It used to basically work, but now I can’t even try to login.

Update: Okay, maybe the app just had to think for a while, but now it’s back to normal again - no more blank screen…

### 2/5 — Not Clear Functionality

*2023-03-27*

We use this with our 2.0. Between the slow processor speed and the rudimentary app, it is hard to tell when it is slowly processing or you have done something out of sequence - such a waste of precious time meant to be enjoyed in or around your RV. Some camps only allow registered phone numbers on their Wi-Fi, therefore leaving out hot spots. We are switching to a cell booster and a simple router.

### 2/5 — Clunky and crashes

*2022-05-05, version 2.1*

Winegard unit itself works well as a broadband receiver and WiFi booster. Router works well. The app is a disappointment. It is not well designed for users (compared to the best iOS apps) and recently started crashing on me using iOS 15.4.1. So if you like Winegard you are stuck with this app. I don’t believe there have been any updates since I downloaded in mid2020.

### 2/5 — Speed Test

*2019-10-13, version 1.3*

You decide.
This is more a review of the router in the TOGO Roadlink C2. I did the following comparisons using the AT&T 4G and the WIFI connections. All speed tests were done using Ookla speed test on an iPhone XS.
1. First at home.
    Roadlink 4G = 15+ Mbps
Xfinity at home = 500+ Mbps
Roadlink WIFI connected to Xfinity at home = 15+ Mbps. (Comment - are you kidding me)

2. First test on the road in Chandler AZ.
    Roadlink 4G = 10+ Mbps
Verizon MIFI Hotspot = 10+ Mbps
Roadlink connected to Verizon MIFI hotspot = 3+ Mbps. (Comment - are you kidding me)

3. Same location as test #2 working with the RV parks internet service.
    RV park = 7+ Mbps
Roadlink connected to RV park internet = 4+ Mbps

No matter how much signal strength may be improved the router in the Roadlink is going to seriously hurt you.

In the middle of nowhere, about 10 miles south of Nothing AZ, if you know where that is, between Vegas and Phoenix, I got nothing from AT&T on the Roadlink. I fired up the Verizon MIFI and registered 45+ Mbps. AT&T has always lacked presents in remote area. Therefore combining the subpar performance of the Roadlink with the poor service of AT&T we as the customer are taking it in the wallet while Thor and AT&T are taking it to the bank.

Final note. Though the app has its clunky aspects to it; it does get the job done. It is definitely not for the less tech literate person.

You decide!
