### 2/5 — Wing service

*2023-04-05, version 23.07.4*

Hi, switched to wing due to the outrageous prices I was being charged from Verizon. I love paying $50 a month versus 129 a month for one line. That being said I have limited service due to win use an AT&T towers and I have no service while at home I think they need to vamp up their tower usage so everyone can use the benefits of not only a cheaper bill but having consistent phone service

### 2/5 — error error

*2022-11-11, version 22.29*

Latest version of app that updated as of 3 months ago, has been giving me non stop issues. I get a constant error message whenever I open the app. Whether I made a payment or not it says “payment successful but error with your payment please call customer service” Every single time. I have reached out to customer service and not one straight answer. I have to have them manually turn my phones service back on after I make a payment when it should be automatically after so much
time. I also haven’t been getting great service around my house. I have a data plan and only wifi is what gets me online. Not happy at all.

### 4/5 — Love Wing

*2022-09-24, version 22.29*

I’ve been a wing customer for a few years now. I’ve switched back and forth between their services and they have worked with me to figure out which would be best for me. Have there been some issues? Yes of course. But I still love the company. Right now though, there is an issue with the app itself. They’ve been upgrading the system but the app doesn’t have the data usage part anymore. And it surely doesn't look like what it shows above. That is frustrating. As for customer service, I don’t call them, you can speak to customer service through the app. It works out fine for me. I love the service, I just hope they fix the app soon. Sure would be nice if the app looked like that above here. Maybe it will soon.

### 2/5 — Cheap, but they will practically rob you blind if you aren’t careful

*2022-09-06, version 22.29*

Just be careful when you try to cancel and don’t subscribe to autopay. They will always take your money days ahead and their app and network have issues.

### 4/5 — Notifications

*2022-01-11, version 21.29*

Please add notifications for chat support messages.

### 2/5 — Was cool until it wasn’t

*2022-01-10, version 21.29*

The service is fine, I have no complaints - technically you’re not saving $ because some of the bigger carriers have similar plans now. If anything the trade off isn’t great, because at least you get customer service (not AI) with the bigger carriers.

Customer service. My biggest pet peeve with this new era we’re going into where ppl will cut corners on a personal touch just to save a dollar. Messaging and texting a person for help is great for some things, but when a 5 minute task takes 40 minutes, this is utterly ridiculous.

In wanting to switch carriers, the conversation was dragged out for like an hour and I was extorted into paying $18 just to get my number (which I’ve had for 20 years) released. They said it was because we were two days into the new billing cycle, but I had been trying to call their customer service for at least 2 days.

I’ve never gotten anyone on the phone at Wing. If little things like this annoy you (you know, because your phone is essential and it’s an expense that’s locked in), I would pass.

### 3/5 — Forced updates

*2021-08-06, version 21.29*

Forced updates are trash

### 2/5 — App is kinda useless

*2021-06-14, version 21.23*

The service is great. Price is alright.

App is useless though. It is very very limited on what account changes you can do yourself. It is basically setup auto pay or change with an agent and if you need to change with an agent you will most likely get transferred a few times around and each time you have to confirm information and also a verification code. Even if you done so 3 minutes ago.

### 1/5 — Didn't release phone number back to ATT

*2021-03-10, version 20.45*

When I was ready to switch back to ATT they did not release my number. I have been on and off the phone for hours getting hung up on and not being able to get the answers I needed to transfer my number.

### 1/5 — ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!!!!

*2020-12-08, version 20.45*

I’d give them negative stars if possible! Not only is the service worse than AT&T,(which they claim to use the same towers) they also say they don’t overcharge which is another lie on top of not releasing your number back to you when you want to leave without settling the charges they racked up on you without your consent. SCAAAM!!

### 1/5 — Blatant Scam

*2020-12-02, version 20.45*

I had the misfortune of being a customer a few months ago when they silently made the unlimited plan not unlimited by imposing a hard data cap without any communication or notice. This was only the tip of the iceberg with the extremely shady things that happened in my brief stint as a customer. The company has also blocked me from commenting on their Facebook ads because I would *dare* speak out about my experience and try to stop more people from falling into the trap of unauthorized resold business lines.

### 2/5 — Upgrading phones

*2020-11-26, version 20.45*

If you’re thinking about switching over consider this first- if you’re the type of person who occasionally wants to upgrade their phone, it is unlike other cell phone providers. If you want to upgrade/purchase a new phone with monthly payments, you have to go through a separate financial lender company to acquire a LOAN to get this; and if you don’t have near perfect credit then you’re going to get denied. There’s no other way around it. If I had known this earlier I would never have switched over to Wing. I’m currently looking elsewhere. Don’t make the same mistake I did with this.

### 1/5 — Not very good

*2020-11-21, version 20.45*

They definitely false advise, I was told they wouldn’t throttle after 60 gb of data unless in times of congestion once I signed up they said after 60 gb it slows down to 2g no matter what.

### 1/5 — Data saver problem!

*2020-11-07, version 20.43*

This company advertises that they will give you unlimited data at high speeds, but what they won’t tell you is that they have a data stream saver “feature” enabled which doesn’t allow you to watch YouTube and other apps at full speed. You have to contact them and spend your time to have them disable it, after that they keep it disabled for a couple weeks and then it’s back on. You have to talk to a bunch of people and waste your time to have it disabled again. And after a couple weeks it’s back on. So if you value your time look somewhere else.

### 1/5 — Best Nigerian Scam

*2020-10-28, version 20.43*

When I joined the price is great, unlimited data for $50, two months later my data capped at 30G, wait 4 months later capped again at 20G - This company is run like a Nigerian scam.

Can’t get emails or browse anything, 20G goes so fast. This is a horrible company. FIND A BETTER PREPAID COMPANY

### 1/5 — Horrible Security Measures in 2020

*2020-10-20, version 20.38*

Service is good. I have to get a two factor authentication email every time I sign into the app or website. Sometimes those emails come quickly, and sometimes they never come. It’s a pretty poor experience in 2020 to not offer biometric login or allow a device to be registered so you don’t have to keep getting the two factor authentication email. I’ve spoken to a few tech support people who either tell me it is the way it is, or just stop replying. However, the service is good. This is a review for the app, not the service.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2024-09-10, version 24.16.1*

App no longer loads anything I have to go online to pay my bill

### 1/5 — Worst Company

*2024-07-01, version 24.16.1*

I originally switched to WING in 2018 when they first launched and was doing the cash back for unused data. Over the last few years they stopped doing that all together and customer service has basically been all bots.

Last year they ended up switching our towers to Verizon which is the worst coverage ever. Recently, we went out of town and for some reason our coverage went in the trash and we basically ended up stranded in an unknown town with no service for over 24 hours having to try and find restaurants with WIFI.

NOW, we are trying to switch providers and they basically hold your account number and Port ID hostage by having you contact customer service. No one answers you. I’ve been on “hold” for 2.5 hours. They make it impossible for you to get your information. It’s not on any of the invoices or in your accounts online or in app.

Probably the worst company to go with. Stick with your main providers, it’s not worth it!

### 1/5 — Just Don’t

*2024-03-28, version 24.09.1*

When I first started Wing years ago they were perfect for service, customer service was a little Eh sometimes, never any changes in my bills, just overall pretty dang good for what you pay for.
Now? They switched towers and providers and in lucky if I get my phone to work on 4 bars. My bill is different almost every month, my data shuts off by itself and doesn’t work until I contact them and they reset it.
Trash.

### 1/5 — Terrible customer service, cheated me out of money

*2022-09-13, version 22.29*

I’ve been with Wing a couple years now. Things have gone downhill drastically. I don’t like writing negative reviews, but I’m hopeful this helps warn people from signing up. My phone was shut off randomly from any service or cell data. I didn’t receive any notification that I was out of data in email, text, or on the app. I reached out to customer service and spent hours and days waiting for a response. Finally I was able to talk to someone who said there was nothing they could do. I couldn’t buy more data because they said it wasn’t possible. They said their app doesn’t support their system upgrade which is why I can’t see anything or do anything. I asked for my information to switch to another provider which would be half the cost per month and had much better reviews. No one responded to me. No one got back to me. Eventually I got in contact with senior management. She said that my concerns are absolutely valid and she’ll submit a request for a refund. With Wings “system upgrade” you have to pay for the next month the month prior. Since I was switching to a new provider, I wanted that month back since I would not be using it (I really should be getting almost 2 months back, but I only asked for one). I just got an email saying that they do not give refunds and that there’s nothing they can do. Please stay away. They’re going downhill and you don’t want to be caught in the mess or out of money.

### 1/5 — If you want a service you can contact, look elsewhere

*2022-09-02, version 22.29*

I have never left a negative review, but this is too much for even me to deal with. I’ve had Wing since 2018 and was quite happy until the past year. I finally decided to leave because it is near impossible to get a hold of a customer service representative. There have been times I’ve had to wait days to hear back.

The last time I tried to cancel my plan, they promised me a lower rate, beginning with the next billing cycle. When that billing cycle rolls around, what do I find? The same rate as before—not the new one I was promised. Bc it’s so hard to get a hold of them, I decided it wasn’t worth trying to follow up over a ~$7.00 difference in cost. Oh, by the way: They’ve been slowly increasing their rates over the years.

The final straw is they promised me a new SIM card to replace a faulty one (that they sent to me as part of their network upgrade) and I am still waiting for it a week later. That’s a whole week without cell phone service, while paying for said service. Currently waiting to hear back from them after both emailing and initiating multiple chats so I can port my number out and move on with my life.

It’s really too bad, because I’m sure the employees work hard. I hope Wing sorts itself out so there are fewer customers in situations like mine.

### 1/5 — Horrible customer service!

*2022-08-24, version 22.29*

If you never have an issue this may be a good service to use. If you like spending hours on a chat or sitting on hold for 45 min each time you have an issue, this also may be the service for you. Two separate occasions that took over an hour to fix(payment method issues, porting to another carrier) which should have taken 5-10 min tops. Their customer service reps are also rude and want to keep the chat going as if they get paid more for the time they take to address a customers issue! Don’t do it!

### 1/5 — This service used to be awesome now is terrible

*2022-02-19, version 22.03*

They changed the networks they use and took away all the cool features of this phone service and it’s become terrible.

### 1/5 — Service problem

*2021-08-06, version 21.29*

Your really not switching, they buy several lines from other phone carriers and get a bulk discount.I left them and went back to AT&T cause there not in USA. And ended up saving 30 dollars a month.

### 1/5 — Was great

*2021-03-25, version 21.10*

When I first joined wing everything was great. Customer service was great and the service was great. Today I canceled my lines. When I tried to cancel my lines they told me I owed 15% of a lease for a phone that was paid in full. I showed them where the bank paid for the full amount of the phone but they kept trying to push me to pay them to cancel the lines. I refused and eventually they agreed to just cancel my lines with no charge but then tried to tell me my phone may no longer work because I didn’t pay and they would lock it. Then I asked them how do you lock an unlocked phone since I bought it out right it came to me unlocked. They also couldn’t show me proof of where I agreed to this 365 lease agreement and none of my bills show any lease payment on them. So just be weary of this company, it may be because they are still a newer company but I will be filing a complaint with the BBB since they attempted to scam me by trying to get me to pay for something I had already paid for.

### 1/5 — Go with someone else

*2021-03-14, version 21.10*

I've had Wing for close to a year. Had multiple billing issues and service issue. They have extremely poor customer service. Instead of properly hearing their customers they like to play the blame game and not addressing the real problems. They also lately played the game of "pretending" to get a manager to speak with when contacting them over a data issue. Saving money is fantastic but not at the cost of good cell service. Save your money and headache and find a better solution than Wing. I would give their customer service a negative star if I could.

*2021-05-05, version 21.10*

I love wing when I first heard of It I was like this can’t be true $55 everything unlimited and they don’t over charge you when you miss a payment after taxes and fees it’s $60 you can’t beat that I was paying over $180 with AT&T for my phone only that’s way too much then they over charge you and don’t even tell you that in the beginning when you sign up for their service I love how wing works with you even when you can’t pay on time and you can use any phone service and carry it over to wing so I still have AT&T but with wing

### 5/5 — Can you track what is said on this app if it’s on this phone???
