### 1/5 — Could not try provisioning at this time

*2025-04-09, version 7.5.1*

I always get the error "Could not try provisioning at this time" when I try to connect it with myq garage opener. Its a bug that have been around for a while, I hope you guys fix it soon

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2024-12-26, version 7.5.1*

Regardless of wether I try WiFi or hard wired I get device not found. This is garbage if you ask me

### 2/5 — Very Difficult To SetUp

*2024-12-14, version 7.5.1*

I’ve been using Wink since 2015 and liked it for the most part. Now, it’s very difficult to set up products with your WiFi.
I have most of my smart devices here, but am considering using another app. It’s simple and the monthly subscription is reasonable, but it’s not really worth the trouble.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2024-11-27, version 7.5.1*

The biggest scam ever I’ve been paying 6$ a month for 2 years as almost a donation without any service and it’s my own fault … I am going to elevate my issue or consult with the proper consumer advocate people to take legal action against them soon !

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2024-11-03, version 7.5.1*

Just says login but I can’t find we’re it say’s make a account

### 1/5 — Bye bye Wink

*2024-10-14, version 7.5.1*

Today, I finally say goodbye to a device whose service is constantly out, for days! And for which I no longer have to pay anymore, thousands of better devices with service free of charge!!! Wink should really rethink its service scheme! Bye bye!! 👋🏻

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-09-25, version 7.5.1*

DON’T BUY IT. This is the worst app ever! Many far better products available (i.e. Kasa) that need no subscription. Doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rating, but had to give one to write a review. Garbage!

### 1/5 — Failure

*2024-07-16, version 7.5.1*

It doesn’t let me add anything to the app. Useless.

### 1/5 — Total junk

*2024-05-21, version 7.5.1*

Not reliable useful

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-04-26, version 7.5.1*

No innovation, product only works 1/3rd of the time. Last couple of days some Home Sitter service constantly and randomly turns my lights off and the app is SO poor and broken you can’t even access the section of the app where the home sitter settings are displayed. Screen churns trying to access it on the app then just gives up and shows a blank screen. Spend your money and time somewhere else … AVOID!

### 1/5 — Please Update the app!

*2024-04-24, version 7.5.1*

The app is four years old. Something isn't compatible anymore. The "services" tab won't even open anymore!

### 1/5 — The worst hub ever

*2024-03-12, version 7.5.1*

Greedy! Shame on you, waste of my Wink 2
I put it in drawer for years since they start subscription, tried today again but it can’t talk to server anymore. Error: couldn’t connect to wink. So it can’t be added if you are not paying

### 1/5 — Dead Platform

*2024-03-08, version 7.5.1*

In 2024 there is no excuse to download this. Just don’t. This is a failure of capitalism brought to life by celebrity entrepreneur Will.i.am. A technological tragedy of our day.

### 1/5 — Do I have to pay just to control an air conditioner remotely?

*2024-02-12, version 7.5.1*

Scummy practices. And you wonder why my GE Aros air conditioner was given to me for free. To protest the outrageous monthly fee, do not use this app.

### 1/5 — Pay more

*2024-02-10, version 7.5.1*

So initially, after you buy the smart device accessory you didn’t have to purchase a subscription to use the device at the time of writing this it’s at 1.8 stars which I think is still too high for this app

### 1/5 — It’s trash. Avoid it.

*2024-01-24, version 7.5.1*

Nothing works even with the subscription. Want to know if your lock is opened? Well it’ll tell you hours later. Have a water sensor? Loses connection weekly. Need to operate a valve during a leak? How about you go &@$k yourself.

### 1/5 — Not a Legit Company

*2024-01-13, version 7.5.1*

I have the Hub 2 and I tried the subscription service but the app does nothing at all even when you subscribe.

The Wink phone number takes you to an automated system that sells life insurance.

### 1/5 — Scam!!!

*2023-12-14, version 7.5.1*

This company is a scam do not use. !! After purchasing they randomly start forcing users to subscribe to make extra revenue. The product was supose to work without any subscription which is why most bought it. Then randomly someone at corporate had the great idea of focusing users to purchase their subscription to make more money. Now that we are all stuck with hardware now would be the time to require extra funds. Someone complained and sued forcing the company to unlock some features free in a local system however the company has strategically stopped update for non subscribed users rending our hardware obsolete and unable to work. Another lawsuit should be in order to punish management for their malicious intent

### 1/5 — App useless

*2023-12-12, version 7.5.1*

Bought a wink set up and spent hours trying to get it to work . Very user u friendly AVOID

### 1/5 — Shut me down never canceled?

*2023-11-12, version 7.5.1*

Shut me down never canceled? Tried to enter my credit card # in the membership & blocked me? Never responded to my 4 messages? If there is another company That WAY BETTER and more $ Hire them instead. I never cancelled.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Loved it once upon a time

*2026-07-30, version 7.5.1*

Been 5yrs since last update of the app. There , enough said but if u wanna read another unhappy paying customer in 2026…? Here:

10+ yrs ago it was on top of its game especially all the innovations. Than it fell into the dark abyss..wandering in the shadows..not dead.. but might as well. Functions started to drop, brands left (Honeywell, chamberlain) for me. The hubs always not working, lights unresponsive, yet I still pay $5.99 cause it’s been years and don’t know how to start new especially since old devices are obsolete but still working fine. If u have options..RUN and never look back. Cause there’s nothing but frustration here. Save yourself cause the rest of us probably die here.

### 1/5 — Not right product or technology

*2026-06-17, version 7.5.1*

I wish I can give Zero stars for this company, the product hub, and their mobile app.
If you have purchased the hub, I will suggest you to return now and explore the other products in market instead of this hub. I purchased couple of years back and it never worked as expected. I tried contacting their support and they have very standard answers instead of helping to debug the issue. This is dead investment to purchase the hub and lights. On top of that, they have started the subscription for the same functionality, which was free earlier. After their subscription model, most of the time hub is down or it does not communicate with the app at all. So ended up operating the lights manually. I am throwing this product and exploring other options.

### 1/5 — Can’t believe they charge 6 a month

*2026-03-05, version 7.5.1*

They should get rid of charging and bring it back like the original wink was just another star down

### 1/5 — Terrible product

*2026-02-17, version 7.5.1*

Deceiving supplier! Stay away. Says NO sub required on package. App requires U$4.99 monthly fee to

### 1/5 — Absolutely garbage!

*2025-12-25, version 7.5.1*

Do not do anything with this company it is absolutely useless, can’t use anything unless you pay a subscription, i don’t care how “low” the price is it’s ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Terrible, greedy company

*2025-11-30, version 7.5.1*

This is the most greedy company I’ve ever interacted with. DO NOT invest in their eco system unless you want to be forced into paying a monthly subscription. They will tell you that you can use their devices and app locally and that the subscription is only required if you want to control devices that are not connected to your primary WiFi network, but they are dishonest and require a subscription for literally everything but creating an account. You can’t even add a device to your network or active your smart hub without a $6/month subscription. Run away from this company and their products as fast as you can.

### 1/5 — Last update 5 years ago

*2025-11-19, version 7.5.1*

Wink wants me to pay $5.99 a month just to be able to operate my power strip. No wonder they’re out of business… I wonder what geniuses ran this company lol

### 1/5 — Very poor

*2025-08-03, version 7.5.1*

I’ve had WINK for years and honestly it’s been so unreliable

### 1/5 — Application payante

*2025-07-28, version 7.5.1*

4,99 $/mois

### 1/5 — They’ve given up

*2025-07-02, version 7.5.1*

0 stars. Just tried to revive my subscription to use the app to operate my window A/C and couldn’t get the app to recognize the unit. Customer support regurgitated the steps for me, then finally shared that my mobile phone from wasn’t old enough to transmit the code needed (needs to be iPhone 10 or older). I see the app isn’t been updated in 4+ years. At least they didn’t argue about refunding me. Shameful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hub2

*2020-09-12, version 7.5.1*

Horrible. Paid for subscription awful. System crashed. they disconnected their phone. Awful. Stay away

### 5/5 — Best in class but room to improve

*2020-01-16, version 6.11*

What Wink does, it does well. For my set of devices (Hue, Lutron, MyQ, Sonos, Rachio, Ring, Various Sensors, Sirens, Wink Relay Control Panels, Nest—if you enabled before Google took away the ability), there is no better alternative.

With a small team, I understand why they do not support every device they could contractually support (e.g. the Lutron Caseta fan controller) immediately after it’s release.

I’m sure it’s just as frustrating for their team, as it is for us, when a manufacturer drops off or stops doing what they need to do to function on the platform. Most of the negative reviews on this app are from people on the receiving end of such changes, outside of their control.

I have reserved optimism that Wink will grow again, because they’re in a unique position to do so, they cannot rest on their laurels, because neither can their user base. I started this review by mentioning there is no better alternative—I just hope they realize that can change overnight.

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!

*2019-09-20, version 6.10.2*

After spending two hours trying to re-pair my lock, I decided to call Wink customer support (it’s an anomaly they’re open until 9 EST—but I’m soooo thankful!). Ebony was very nice and advised me on how to fix the paring myself in an e-mail, along with instructions if the pairing failed. The pairing failed. I called back and spoke with Eli. Amongst his attentiveness and easy explanations of how to resolve my issue, we casually conversed about randomness while my hub went through the motions. I’m surprised his extensive walk through—along with my wait time—was only eight minutes! I like to think I’m pretty tech savvy... But, needless to say, I am not when it comes to connecting three devices that are so integrated on there own. MUCH THANKS to Eli and the Wink Customer Support for saving my sanity on this issue! I highly recommend the Wink hub since it’s been far more user friendly than any other hub, and the customer service is above par as well. Thanks again!!!

### 5/5 — Exceptional Support from Wink!

*2019-09-12, version 6.10.2*

I’ve been a loyal Wink customer for 5+ years and I have always been very happy with their products and technical support. Rarely do I have issues with the Wink system but today I called support for an issue I had been experiencing. Ali in support quickly identified and resolved the issue. Diagnosis: User error. I neglected to tap a switch when setting up new lights to an existing schedule. Thank you Ali!
I’m hoping Wink comes out with new product offerings soon as I would like to grow and expand my home’s install base.

### 5/5 — Wink 2 Hub

*2019-06-15, version 6.10.2*

I recently moved so I had to build a new smart location to work with Wink. I also had my mobile phone stolen in the process. This led to confusion and I inadvertently created a second account causing me to lose connection with my Wink 2 hub. I emailed Wink support and got an immediate response and had my account restored in a very short time. KUDOS to David and Wink.

I’ve used Wink for about three years now and find it the best app for bringing all of my various smart vendors to heel under one control platform. I hope Wink can continue to pioneer this open zigbee approach to smart home automation.

### 5/5 — Old Timer Friendly

*2019-05-29, version 6.10.2*

My son usually does this kind of SMART installation but he was unavailable this time. Initially I had difficulty in connecting to the hub2. My guess is that I was trying to connect too soon after power it up. It may have still been booting up? That was late at night. The next day I decided to give Wink Customer Service a call before I tried it again. Got Hannah with Wink on the line and did not have any connectivity issues. She helped me set it up and add devices. She was very friendly and helpful. This is how Customer Service should always be. I recommend.

 64 in CA.

### 5/5 — Apple Watch version

*2019-03-19, version 6.10.2*

Wink users are still waiting for a version for the Apple Watch. It would be very useful for all of us who have the Wink ecosystem

### 5/5 — Brilliant Smart Home App to bring all smart devices together

*2019-01-07, version 6.10*

I have this working with 5 Sensi Thermostats and Philips Hue lighting. The scheduling is excellent. Especially if you are in a time zone not supported by the original manufacturer. Wink makes it easy to monitor and manage various smart devices. Very glad I found this app.

### 5/5 — Nearly flawless home automation

*2019-01-04, version 6.10*

My review is somewhat in response to the single star reviews given through either ignorance or unrealistic expectations and let Wink know much I’ve enjoyed the use of their products.
We use the Wink hub through Alexa, Wink app, and IFTTT. I have smart bulbs, switches, and sensors that work as expected... nearly flawlessly. If I have an issue connecting a new device I call Wink support because they have always been very helpful and clear about what their products do, how supported and non-supported devices interact, and listen to request for adding or supporting new devices. I think they are clear about what they do and don’t do. Keep up the good product and customer service.

### 5/5 — Will not sync with arlo anymore

*2018-12-20, version 6.10*

Wink use to sync and work with Arlo Camera system. It quit working and contacted customer support where I was originally told they don’t support them until I said it previously worked. Then went on a trail of excuses until got a “top lead tech” only to tell me to keep trying what I had been trying before calling and blaming arlo being the problem. So I bought Samsung smart things which goes through the same sync process and works PERFECTLY. Then downloaded “iftt” app and it syncs PERFECTLY. It is cleary a Wink issue but cannot get any support for their product. So had to purchase the competitions product to make it work.
