We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced. We're unable to identify you. We'd like to kindly ask you to share your contact details via DM through Facebook, Instagram, or X so that we can get it checked. ### 1/5 — can't open the App everytime after update *2026-08-13, version 1.70.0* Waste of time ### 2/5 — Why no VPN usage? *2026-08-01, version 1.68.1* So frustrating that you can’t access the app whilst using a VPN, I’ve read the other responses to this and by saying that by not using a VPN it makes the app more secure surely highlights the developers complete lack of understanding of how or what VPN’s do and makes me question the security of the app in general. ### 2/5 — Only few currencies are supported *2026-07-28, version 1.68.1* Nice app, but only few currencies are supported. JPY and SGD are still missing! ### 1/5 — Less secure No VPN allowed *2026-07-25, version 1.68.0* Was a great app, working well, now blocks the app if it thinks you have a VPN or even iCloud private relay. Forces you to use open networks if you’re overseas or travelling without any VPN as they feel using a VPN is less secure than an open unprotected network! Seriously - how is a private VPN less secure than an open hotel wifi or foreign country cellular! ### 1/5 — VPN blocked and logs out *2026-07-18, version 1.67.1* So annoying that if my work VPN is on, the app not only does not work, it actually logs you out. Beyond frustrating. VPNs ensure safe internet traffic, it’s so odd for a bank to block usage let alone make your experience worse by logging you out completely. Sort it out, Wio! ### 1/5 — Waste of your time! At least don’t waste your money! *2026-07-09* Since a couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to verify my identity through the app as a new customer, but the app crashes with a coding error. Support has been contacted and informed since day one, but nobody has contacted me. Most important, the error has NOT been fixed, even with the new update. The response from the customer support “We’re unable to identify you…” which is a copy and paste to every critical review, is a joke! A joke is also asking you to contact them through social media for support. I wonder how these clowns got a banking license in the first place! **Developer response:** Hello. Not good enough when you are dealing with ppl’s savings. ### 1/5 — Terrible UI and UX *2026-07-07, version 1.67.0* I don’t know who decided the UI was a good idea. It makes no sense. It’s not intuitive. It’s not like other apps. The entire app needs to be redesigned. And the ads for other features are annoying. I don’t care about the stories at the top. I should be able to dismiss everything in the explore section. Maybe look at Revolut for an example of a good UI. Also it just takes too long for the app to load and animations are not smooth. Terrible engineering. ### 1/5 — NOT Worth a Single Penny! *2026-07-03, version 1.66.0* This bank does NOT deserve you as a customer and certainly it doesn’t deserve your money! Since a week, I am trying to open an account with Wio as a NEW customer, and every time I’m stuck at the “Verify Identity” step as the app crashes with an “exception” json parser error, clearly a bug in the app’s code. I’ve installed/uninstalled the app multiple times, I’ve opened a ticket with customer support, provided screenshots and detailed explanation and still, after a week, there is NO update. So, if new customers, willing to deposit at least a couple of millions in AED, are treated this way, I can imagine the poor and lousy treatment and support current customers might receive, if they have a problem with their money.
