The videos don’t seem to play. However, after a recent update, I can’t select an article without being bombarded with pop up ads- the sensitive hair-trigger type that constantly opens unwanted links. Also, you can’t easily go back to the homepage after reading an article. They literally removed the back button. And there are now hidden links all over the websites pages. In an attempt to increase revenues, the WION mobile app has sold out to advertisers which has totally ruined the experience. It is an example of the low integrity and unscrupulousness of those running the operation. Obviously, they care more about their pockets than respecting their viewers. ### 1/5 — Gossip app now *2025-01-25, version 6.6* Gave it one last chance but this morning the news the Indians found most worth reporting was the possibility of Jennifer Aniston and Obama having an affair. WION can now be taken no more seriously than TMZ or Entertainment Tonight. WION went from a news service that I used as a foreign reference to my Canadian news. Now I can’t see the stories for the fluff and ads. I will give it another try for a month, then I will delete the app .
