Right in the app, More > Help > Disabling Wipr, will tell you all you need to know. ### 2/5 — Wipr Extra Crashes Safari *2026-08-25, version 2.36* For some reason, I have Wipr 2 and when the extension Wipr extra is running it randomly(probably there’s rhyme and reason) will crash my safari and close out of it. This happens a lot while using Safari in Private mode. From that the logs say and fed through AI, it says something with the content block conflicting with Safari’s own native features. This app is FIRE… rename it from FLTR *2026-08-15, version 2.35.2* Never thought much about using an ad blocker, stumbled on WIPR 2. What a great accident to find, especially with FLTR in app purchase for app ad removal. I had a trouble with tech crunch, Kaylee wrote back in a fast time, 1-2 hours. Enabled extra boom.. ads gone. I really like Fltr. Ads gone out of the apps I use now too. Especially off news apps. Not one denial or request to turn off ad blocker yet. Come on all that for 5 bucks, $5 is a drop in your digital bucket. My favorite thing, of course after clean up, no data collected. That alone is worth the price of admission. Honestly my only regret, buying a 1 year subscription to fltr versus $25 for life. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Developer had Apple remove my truthful review *2026-06-28, version 2.33* I, initially, left a 4 star review and, overall, praised this app. However, I mentioned that, occasionally, this ad blocker would make my search bar disappear. Despite this, I was, overall, happy with this extension. I’ve recently come to find out the app store removed my honest review and it had to do with the developer disliking my review. For that reason, i’m now giving it one star and uninstalling it/ switching over to Ublock Origins Lite. For this reason, I don’t recommend using an extension where the developer suppresses honest reviews of their product. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Used It On My Mac For Years Now On iOS Devices👍 *2026-08-30* I had been using another ad blocker on my Mac and iOS devices but began using Wipr several years ago on my Mac as it’s so simple to set up. Just turn it on, that’s it. I’ve recently had some issues with my iOS blocker so decided to install Wipr on those devices. It’s extremely effective on just about every site. I needed to check an issue with a couple sites and the developer responded far sooner than expected. I also enabled the Filtr option that should deal with certain apps though I haven’t been able to verify that, but no issues have occurred in my apps. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Continuously updated with no subscription fee *2026-08-28, version 2.36.1* I love this ad blocker for continuing and often updates, year after year, for providing fantastic prevention of unhelpful advertising as well as being an added privacy guard. Wipr is, by far, the best and easiest to use—hands free; it does it for you—content preventer I’ve tried. ### 5/5 — “It Just Works” Ad Blocker *2026-08-27, version 2.36.1* I recently switched to Safari and needed a good ad blocker. I used AdGuard on Chrome for years with no issues, but AdGuard Mini for Safari felt pretty clunky. I then tried 1Blocker and AdBlock Pro, but both also felt bloated with expensive subscriptions just to unlock basic features. I saw Wipr recommended often and decided to try it. It’s perfect: you install it, enable it, and it just works. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Simply the best safari adblocker *2026-08-16, version 2.35.2* I thought it was absurd to pay for an adblocker since I’ve used a free one for as long as I could remember but I decided to give this a try. It works better than any other safari adblocker I’ve tested (wblock, ublock origin lite, 1blocker, adguard) and I’d highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — Works Great Now! *2026-08-16, version 2.35.2* I originally gave this 1 star because it didn’t block nearly anything. I have a shortcut key set up just in case I need to disable the app for any reason. The price was great for what this does.
