### 2/5 — Best of luck, but not for me

*2026-03-18, version 1.75*

Wipr’s one‑time purchase always felt dependable, so hearing that Wipr (Legacy) will be discontinued at the end of March is frustrating. It also makes me hesitant to pay for Wipr 2 if it might later be replaced by Wipr 3 and so on.

### 3/5 — Now breaks Youtube

*2026-03-10, version 1.74*

Used to love this app and appreciative that the legacy app can still update the blocklists. However, for multiple blocklist updates YouTube now just loads a white screen at the cookie selection point. You have to disable Wipr accept/reject the cookies and then re-enable Wipr. This has to be done every time you clear the cookies.
I had considered Wipr2 but worried this will be a wasted purchase if it’s just going to do the same.

### 1/5 — Makes no difference to adds in apps.

*2025-09-30, version 1.72*

Makes no difference to adds in apps.

### 1/5 — Shady developer

*2025-09-11, version 1.72*

Does not block ads anymore. Why is there a new paid version for a safari extension that does the same thing?

### 1/5 — Forced upgrade

*2025-08-31, version 1.71*

Intentionally made this version bad without telling users why they need to upgrade. The latest update show the devs removed so much stuff and made it worse to lean you towards a new version.

### 1/5 — Paid upgrade

*2025-06-17, version 1.71*

The app is nice but I don’t like the idea of having to pay for multiple apps just to get an upgrade. An example is with wipr 2. Paid for this version and now I have to pay for that one too

### 1/5 — Not going to buy again

*2025-06-06, version 1.71*

I left 1Blocker when they scammed me by selling their product, and abandoning it to sell it again. Same goes for WIPR. Only stupid people pay twice for the same service.

### 1/5 — Why the bad business?

*2025-05-23, version 1.71*

You’re doing people wrong by creating separate apps, and forcing your customer base to pay to upgrade again to the latest version.

### 1/5 — Giorgio is a criminal

*2025-04-27, version 1.69*

This app is no longer supported due to the disgusting decision by Giorgio Calderolla to release Wipr2 and force users to buying Wipr AGAIN. If you paid for this app, you must pay this thief a SECOND time—for the same app. He is a deeply confused criminal whose products should be avoided. This man needs help.

### 1/5 — Abandoned?

*2025-03-19, version 1.68*

Developer has make a new version of the app that is purchased separately. Seems unlikely that development will continue. Probably best to avoid the new app too; who knows when wipr3 will come out.

### 1/5 — Now I have to buy another version?

*2025-03-04, version 1.68*

When I purchased this, I expected to be able to use it for life. Now I have to upgrade every few years to a new version? Pass. Also, it doesn’t even work on the most important sites I visit - I still get tons of ads that open as new pages on video streaming sites.

### 1/5 — Shady developer

*2025-02-06, version 1.67*

Does not block ads anymore. Why is there a new paid version for a safari extension? What about people who paid for this mediocre one?

### 3/5 — Ok app

*2025-01-28, version 1.66*

Easy to use.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scammy developer

*2026-03-13, version 1.75*

Creates a “new” app that’s 2x the price and ends support for the “old” app. Will block and never support them again. Use wBlock for far superior ad blocking

### 1/5 — Discontinued

*2026-03-12, version 1.75*

Good Riddance!

### 1/5 — discontinued

*2026-03-11, version 1.75*

dev gave up on this in hopes to cash in on a new version. no offer for owners of the first version

### 1/5 — Shady developer

*2026-03-10, version 1.75*

Does not block ads anymore.

Why is there a new paid version for a safari extension that does the same thing? And why is this one being discontinued?

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2025-12-31, version 1.74*

Doesn’t work anymore especially on recipe sites. They just keep resetting with “there was a problem loading this page” errors.

I bought this app and there’s no upgrade option to wipr 2, so… that should tell you about the level of support you can get for your money. Switching to AdGuard which is free.

### 1/5 — Not Working

*2025-12-27, version 1.74*

See title! Not doing a darn thing to stop constant pop up ads.

### 1/5 — Abandoned by developer

*2025-12-24, version 1.74*

Used to work great but now it doesn’t do anything.

### 1/5 — Avoid

*2025-11-19, version 1.73*

I won’t buy anything off this developer again instead of keeping this app updated. He has made a Wipr 2 another greedy Dev on the App store

### 1/5 — Shady developer

*2025-11-06, version 1.73*

Does not block ads anymore. Why is there a new paid version for a safari extension that does the same thing?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-10-16, version 1.72*

Doesn’t work. Will be requesting a refund. DO NOT BUY

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Free yourself

*2025-11-28, version 1.73*

Does what it says and nothing else.

### 5/5 — Great work!

*2025-06-14, version 1.71*

Works wonders on YouTube. Haven’t watched an ad in months.

### 5/5 — Greatness

*2025-05-29, version 1.71*

This app is greatness itself herein and therein please.

### 5/5 — How do I allow trackers?

*2025-05-09, version 1.70*

I can’t find the option that says *Block ads *Block Trackers even when i uninstall and reinstall the app

### 5/5 — 5/5

*2025-04-12, version 1.69*

Always worked as advertised, no subscription, extremely responsive dev, thank you so much! Excited for Wipr 2😉

### 5/5 — Functional and elegant

*2025-04-08, version 1.69*

Does what it says on the box. Worth the money as neither Adguard nor Blockada seem to work as intended. Some configuration would be nice to really make sure all the best lists (Annoyances, Anti-Facebook, etc.) are in place, but on the other hand, I haven’t had any concerns and I can appreciate the simplicity.
Disclaimer: I do use Javasnipt and a DNS solution, dunno what things would look like if those things weren’t there. Browser-level adblock is always best complimented with a Pihole and JavaScript disabled by default, in my opinion. I also don’t use YouTube.

### 5/5 — Works wonders

*2025-04-04, version 1.69*

Wiper blocker is better then and other Adblock app in apple’s store, Oyeasure there’s a price behind it, A few dollars you get what you’re paying for service.. the free apps are almost always useless, in my opinion

### 5/5 — safari i don’t like your advertising

*2025-01-03, version 1.65*

seriously: Works fantastic as advertised

### 5/5 — A++

*2024-12-27, version 1.65*

Does everything it says it does, seamlessly. It’s initial activation is about the easiest thing I’ve ever had to do to get an app up and running. And, since activating it, I’ve quite literally had to do nothing to keep my webpages neat and clean - since Wipr does all that for me in the background - out of sight and out of mind.

### 5/5 — Wipr

*2024-12-10, version 1.65*

Excellent app and easy to use. It is a must to enjoy using the web.
