### 3/5 — UR support

*2025-09-14*

It’s frustrating that you’ve dropped all support for the Shure UR packs. We still have a good mix of URs with the new ULXD and now my A2 can only monitor the newer mics. I understand the need for support to focus on the newer products but legacy support is important too, especially for software. It doesn’t seem too difficult to at least still allow monitoring of legacy products. I’d be more than appreciative if this could be something added to a future update.

### 3/5 — Great idea, could be even better

*2025-07-09*

I like the option to monitor the compatible mics (I use SLX-D). There are a couple of annoyances:
1. It requires precise location or it can’t find a Wi-Fi network (that I’m connected to). This should work without needing location services!
2. I can’t do a WWB timeline or recording on the app. It would be nice if that could happen.
Bottom line, it doesn’t replace running WWB on my laptop.

### 3/5 — SLXD4Q+ Not Supported

*2025-05-15*

I’m docking this app a couple stars because Shure’s SLXD4Q+ receivers are not supported yet. That said, this is a very handy app and we use it at our community theater to monitor actors’ mics since our receivers are on stage, far away from the tech booth. It’s annoying that we won’t be able to monitor our newly added mics.

### 3/5 — Issues

*2023-09-20, version 1.6.0*

When I first used this app it was great, especially as a pro A2.

But, lately, the app remembers past shows RF channels and there is no way to delete them?

Second issue:
Day 1: able to see all 8 RF channels.
Day 2: only able to see 4 RF channels.

All 8 RF channels are working. And we see them in our Workbench laptop.

Laptop has latest Workbench.

This app in AppStore is 4 years old. When is there an update coming out?

### 3/5 — It’s a nice idea but doesn’t work on secure networks

*2020-06-23*

I wanted to use this app to monitor and control our shure microphones while we have live events but it is limited on a corporate secure network. Since wireless connections are banned, there is almost no way to connect without hopping off the network.

I tried wired connection using USB to Ethernet but it wouldn’t connect that way.

I wish it would allow a hard-wired way to connect too besides just wireless

**Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback, and we will pass it along to our team.

### 2/5 — Crashing on Iphone 6s

*2020-01-29, version 1.4.2*

Jan 29 2020, app has started crashing/ closing when attempting to open.
Worked great before, will test with Ipad tomorrow

### 4/5 — Please support larger iPads

*2019-11-10*

There are so many screen sizes now so it’s important to ensure your app automatically scales up to take advantage of the larger screens. There is quite a bit of unused screen on my iPad Pro 11 inch.

I agree with those who feel $10 is a bit stingy after having spent thousands on the equipment. Look at it this way, how many people are NOT enjoying and benefiting from the efforts of the Shure engineers to develop remote management tools simply because of this in app purchase.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We will pass it on to our development.

### 4/5 — Really convenient for throw-and-go events

*2019-10-10*

Would really like to see an “unlocked mode” where I dont have to unlock each channel each time I want to adjust something. Tedious when working with many channels, could be so much easier. And setting transmitter power for ULXD from the app would be great too (obviously to be pushed after syncing)

**Developer response:** Thanks for the suggestion! We will pass it on to our development team.

### 2/5 — Wifi only is a big problem

*2019-01-19*

Wifi only works great until the venue fills up with attendees carrying their cell phones searching out every channel for free wifi. Wifi control and monitoring is considered a toy in my business because it only works in setup but never is reliable in show. This is, therefor, useless in most convention centers. There is no option on this to operate with hard-wired ethernet. I operate all my digital gear with copper attached or I don't use it. Sorry, can't use this as long as I cant see the network.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that you're having problems with WiFi on the Channels app. Here are some tips from our support team:

- Ensure that whatever network your gear is on, is on a secure and private network (i.e. password protected).
- Purchase a router that has 2+ different bands of wifi. (i.e. dual-band router with 2.4GHz and 5GHz.) This allows you to set it up where attendees are allowed on one band and the gear is on the other.
- Ensure there is a strong signal where you are using the Channels app. If you are far away from the router and the signal is weak, monitor and control will drop offline especially if more people come into the venue. Humans absorb RF since we are dense bodies.
- Try to place the router above people (around 8 - 10 feet off the ground.)

If none of these suggestions help, please reach out to our support team at support@shure.com, and they would be happy to troubleshoot with you. Thanks!

### 2/5 — Waste of money

*2018-10-22*

I use wireless workbench religiously. I added my network onto a router this time with about 60 channels of RF the network and wireless workbench sees everything fine. Once I try to use the phone app only uhfr devices will show up. No PSM1000’s or axient devices will even be recognized. Plus I paid for the access to each one and the app can’t find it when the computer can.

Waste of money don’t waste your time.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that you're having problems with the app. Can you confirm that you've updated to the latest version of firmware for your devices? If you are fully updated and still having problems, our support team can help you troubleshoot. Please reach out to them at support@shure.com. Thanks!

### 4/5 — Great for portable monitoring but...

*2018-04-08*

Been using the app in conjunction with Workbench. We love the ability to step away from our computers and still be able to monitor our wireless gear from anywhere within our network range.

We recently upgraded our 14 channels of UHF-R to Axient Digital and love it even more. However, our old UHF-R is still in the app inventory and there is no obvious way on how to delete these units. We wonder if it could be because we assigned static IPs and those IPs are still being held by our router? We will no longer be using them due to the FCC Frequency sale. If someone could tell us how to delete old inventory from the app that would be great. Thanks!

**Developer response:** Hi! So glad to hear you’re enjoying the freedom of mobility that Channels provides. Clearing the app inventory of offline channels is simple, although admittedly a bit tough to discover. Simply swipe down while in the Channels list – all offline devices will be removed. Hope this helps!

### 1/5 — They removed access to older mics. Forced redundancy to make people buy new gear. Shame on Shure

*2026-05-20*

Instead of creating a new app called Wireless Workbench mobile, Shure instead changed the old app (Shure channels) in to an app that completely removes the support of older wireless shure mics. Eg. UR1

They could have left the old app alone for people that still have those mics. But this feels like forced redundancy when nothing is wrong with the old mics.

### 1/5 — Bring back UHFR support

*2025-11-07*

I wish this app could still monitor the UHFR stuff. Hate having to carry around a laptop

### 1/5 — 老款UR4D连不上了，好像不支持了。

*2025-08-22*

新款的都可以连上，但老款的UR4D连不上了。

### 1/5 — Not for audio professionals

*2025-07-23*

I’ve been waiting on a true iOS workbench app for years and when I saw this I was truly excited. After testing I wish I could revert to the old app that was simply a monitor. The new app layout is neither a great monitor app nor is it a great frequency coordination app. It feels like what garage band is to ProTools by a factor of 10. Please someone tell me I’m wrong but I could not add items to inventory that are not “on network”, there was no where to see any frequency plot info to make adjustments, no way to work with inclusion or exclusion groups, and the list goes on. Truly a big let down.

I live a couple miles from Shure headquarters and love the company and use their wireless exclusively but this…..no.

### 1/5 — App crashes on the latest IOS

*2020-06-07, version 1.4.2*

App crashes on startup on the latest IOS version

### 1/5 — Really?

*2019-09-13*

I can’t think of another piece of equipment I own, where the manufacturer has developed an app for the product and then wants money for the ap. Maybe it’s my fault for not looking ahead but this felt like bait and switch... I bought 2 QLX-D units and thought “cool, when I have time I’ll install the ap” and oh wait the ap advertised only monitors stuff and Shure (King of wireless) wants another measly $9.99 so I can actually use the ap. No thanks. The QLX-Ds are worth there price of $979 but fully functional ap should be included, period.

### 1/5 — Won’t show my receiver after update.

*2018-09-09, version 1.4.2*

My receiver is not listed after update. Was working before.

### 1/5 — $10 per model?!

*2018-07-04*

Little to be desired to pay $10 for each model unit you want edit control capability. Just charge a reasonable flat rage amount in the in-app purchase and give full edit control to the user up front. No time to waste for each device you connect and verify or restore purchase.

### 1/5 — In App purchases for each device

*2018-05-25*

Looks like a great app but you have to make a $9.99 purchase for each Shure product model you may have. If you work for a company like I do that has tons of Shure models, it doesn’t want make a lot of sense to buy all of these $10 purchases just to use this app with each model. I’ll try Wireless Workbench instead.

### 1/5 — Will not load devices

*2018-04-07, version 1.4*

I have put this app on my iPhone and it will not pull any devices on the network. Wireless workbench 6 and my iPad find the devices without no problem. The app is useless until they fix this problem.

### 5/5 — ios18

*2024-09-26*

### 5/5 — Great app, if I could give it 10 stars I would!

*2020-01-29*

I use this to monitor battery life, change the gains on the mics and RF connectivity. It works great, even in the background while using for the mixing board.

If you have problems with this app do to people being around you, it’s not the app. Your router is the problem.

Would love to see the frequency finder as an app in coordination with this, or wireless workbench kinda thing...

Thanks for the great work Shure.

### 5/5 — 電池残量

*2019-11-29*

手元にレシーバーがない状況での電池残量の確認には必須ですね。

### 5/5 — FINALLY!!!

*2015-11-08, version 1.2*

ABOUT TIME. Took you long enough.

### 4/5 — Great, please support charger monitoring

*2025-06-20*

This is a great app, easy to use and does what you need.
Please consider adding support for networked charger monitoring.
Seeing a transmitter offline is less concerning if I can see that it’s in a charger.

### 4/5 — Good, but let me delete old devices

*2024-11-05*

I’m on different equipment almost every day, live/corporate gigs. Testing the range of mics and seeing the signal fidelity is great.
Just let me get rid of devices I’m not using please and thank you!

### 4/5 — Works great

*2021-01-14, version 1.4.5*

The app allows us to install our receivers out of site and still monitor.

### 4/5 — 越来越不好用了

*2020-12-24*

原来的进去还能虚拟创建接收机型号，现在不联网啥都没有。连接路由器还显示wifi被拒，不像原来接上就能用，越来越不好用了
