It doesn’t reliably transfer riffs from pedal and if you manage to do so it allows no editing, sharing. Another issue is that it doesn’t let you to delete any unwanted riffs from the library (including the demos it comes with!!). ### 1/5 — Great Idea with Problems *2021-12-13* The general idea for the app to connect with the pedal via bluetooth is great but it crashes or gets stuck when trying to copy to one other the variety of app choices on ios but when you try to if either errors or crashes and you have to force quit the app then try again. Please fix the app it could be a gem if you worked on it like you work on the pedal. There is no way to send to garageband, no way to even save to audio recordings. I have to play it through my amp then record it woth the audio recording app. Not useful, might as well not even have the app. Sigh. ### 1/5 — Pretty awful app for a brilliant pedal *2021-09-15* How can a pedal as brilliant as the WireTap have such an awful app????? The pedal is so incredibly easy to use, but this app is the complete opposite. Even the simplest tasks.... like deleting (I mean discard) a song is difficult to do and then it doesn't even work. It's clear these pedals are made by guitarists for guitarist... they are incredible... but unfortunately it seems the iPhone app was also developed by a guitarist instead of someone who knows more than a little about technology and apps. ### 1/5 — App won’t connect to pedal *2021-06-28* Pairs okay with Bluetooth but won’t swap in app. ### 1/5 — Sadly, not updated *2021-06-19* This companion app to the TC Wiretap Pedal was amazing. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in 4 years and has become really buggy. It locks up constantly, forcing you to restart the app to do anything with it. The pedal is still in production. On behalf of those of us who regularly use the pedal, please update the app. ### 1/5 — Fundamentally flawed software *2021-05-29* Having just purchased this new, spending a lot of time trying figure out the software, it’s such a shame that it just doesn’t work. My iOS device won’t playback or send files, kind of negating the whole point of buying it. If there are any plans to remedy this, then I’m all ears, and the pedal itself works fine. I feel like I’ve bought something that is not as described by Tc and I’ve got a product which is only half useful. ### 1/5 — Poorly designed *2021-05-24, version 1.0.3* Links to update firmware are broken. No way to erase tracks from the app, so it’s cluttered with junk, even after a factory reset. This app works perfectly, although the user interface took me a minute to figure out - it is a bit confusing. Still giving a 5 as I can trim/export and listen from my phone - I didn’t even realise this when I bought it! (I assumed I’d have to go through USB). And being able to A/B riffs and sounds on my rigg is freakin awesome (for ideas I put the wiretap at the end of the signal chain, if I’m auditioning sounds I record in a DI signal and can mess all I like without having to have a guitar in my lap the whole time. ### 5/5 — Does the job *2021-05-25* As previously reviewed. Swipe the two faint lines and set up there. ### 5/5 — Works well once synced *2020-09-15* Reading other reviews about syncing: The little icon in bottom right hand corner is misleading - look for two dark lines at very edges of your phone screen and swipe from there. I spent ages just trying to swipe the icon and it looks like it's not working when you do that. Also, it appears you can't transfer app demo tracks to your pedal. It is a fantastic app to use with the TC Electronic Wiretap Pedal! My Pedal connected immediately to the Wiretap App and performs with no problems. I had no issues pairing the pedal to my iPhone 6 Plus via Bluetooth. After pairing, the App picked up my recordings from the pedal. I then chose whether to sync the recordings to the App or delete them. The Wiretap App and Wiretap Pedal perform flawlessly together.
