### 2/5 — Loses Bluetooth with phone easily

*2022-03-27, version 1.0.6*

My phone can’t find the device half the time but when you shut them both down they find each other again. It’s just a bit annoying to have to do that

### 1/5 — Bug in update

*2021-05-09, version 1.0.4*

Unable to open app after updating to v1.0.4

### 1/5 — Won’t connect to the app

*2021-04-20, version 1.0.3*

Just bought the system and it won’t connect to the app. No sound. All the lights are on in the speakers. Just emailed them but probably won’t hear back

### 1/5 — Is this WiSA Certified?

*2021-03-30, version 1.0.3*

A Chinese company develops this software, but nowhere on wisa’s website is a connection noted to this company developing this app.

Is this app legit?

### 1/5 — NO BLUETOOTH

*2021-03-27, version 1.0.3*

A thousand dollar sound system & they can’t get the app straight. I feel ripped off. If your unpacking or unpacked . STOP RETURN

### 1/5 — Great idea, poor execution.

*2021-03-21, version 1.0.3*

I am CONSTANTLY getting a blinking red light where one or more of my speakers stop transmitting. The app hardly ever moves past the boot screen and doesn’t even have a feature to verify and update the latest firmware version on the transmitter (you have to physically download zip files that contain the firmware file and plug the transmitter into your computer). I understand this is new tech but these features are legacy at this point. Why can’t I download firmware to the transmitter from the app? Why doesn’t the app boot?

### 2/5 — App stopped working

*2021-03-08, version 1.0.3*

Adjusting the settings requires the use of this application but the application relies on Bluetooth to connect to the speakers. It is very slow to load and for the past week doesn't work at all. No amount of app closure, power cycling, etc seems to work. Promising technology failed by a unreliable app...

### 2/5 — App needs some serious updates

*2021-02-26, version 1.0.3*

I am using the SoundSend with the platin Monaco 5.1 surround. When in normal mode, only the front left and right speakers and sub play. In movie and music mode, voice tracks randomly cut to the point they’re completely inaudible. There also needs to be more control over balancing; I appreciate all the effort put into accounting for latency, but the range of the trim setting isn’t enough to account for a large room and you can hardly hear the difference

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2021-01-14, version 1.0.1*

It stopped working some days ago and since then it doesn’t connect anymore, very disappointing I thought I bought some quality for the price.

### 1/5 — Wisa SoundSend application on I phone

*2024-04-25*

I bought the platine system and downloaded the Wisa application to control sound and différents features thru my phone. I was not able to connect with the system thru the application. I tried many time at different days same result, no connection. I was not able to adjust sound or change set up thru my I phone. The Wisa application do not work.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2024-01-22*

After 2 mos of the app just stopped! Trying to reconnect to to Bluetooth is impossible! No support or help to me found! I give you a zero rating!

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2023-09-01, version 1.0.8*

I got this surround sound system which only let you work it via this app and it works when it want to. This system has a lot of bugs to be fixed but I’m sure the developers know this. I hope they fix the issues of just stop selling the product.

### 1/5 — Worst ever

*2023-02-06, version 1.0.7*

Without a doubt the worst app I’ve ever used. It very rarely connects to my sound system. Pure garbage

### 1/5 — One of the speakers doesn’t connect to app

*2022-06-17, version 1.0.6*

Doesn’t connect to app at all. No support from manufacturer

### 1/5 — Bluetooth connection fails constantly

*2022-05-17, version 1.0.6*

As others have reported, the Bluetooth connectivity of this app is awful. Loses the connection all the time. Once lost, I have to reboot WISA transmitter to get back on the air.

### 1/5 — Great sound, horrible app

*2022-03-11, version 1.0.6*

Bluetooth connectivity is a constant problem, usually have to power down the WISA transmitter to get the app to control the system. Fix the app and it would be a spectacular system.
Update - still crap, app is garbage. Such a great system hobbled by a horrible app. Do you guys at WISA care at all??? So frustrated by the app! FIX IT!

### 1/5 — NEVER WORKS!!!

*2022-02-13, version 1.0.6*

This app is completely useless, never works!!

### 1/5 — come on

*2022-01-23, version 1.0.6*

guys, it’s 2022. this app is garbage. buggy, doesn’t save settings, doesn’t connect half the time, the ui is hideous, and the overall operation makes the whole experience with what should be amazing speakers - a horrible one.

this looks bad for platin and other brands who use this trash.

the hardware is even worse but that’s another story.

### 1/5 — Boo!

*2022-01-13, version 1.0.6*

I bought this system so I could use the app but the app never gets past the home screen. It only worked the first time I set it up and then never again. :(

### 5/5 — Soundsend and this app replaced my $3000 denon AVR

*2023-10-19, version 1.0.8*

The soundsend and this app give me the audio I/o horse power to replace the biggest eyesore in my home theater. The giant black box known as a Denon AVR. I invested over $10k in gear and wire to simply go from HDMI to a surround sound system capable of decoding Dolby Atmos. The Soundsend can do that to any WiSA certified speakers at the retail cost of $199. It connects to your TV via eARC/ARC. The soundsend transmits uncompressed audio. Perfectly lossless from transmitter to receiver. To my ears, my speakers sound BETTER using WiSA technology than using expensive cables.

My denon could decode Dolby Atmos into 7.2.6. The soundsend can decode 5.1.2. While this my look like an issue, it doesn’t sound like one to me. Currently I have a simple 5.2.2 setup and I’m much happier with it than the cacophony of speakers and wires that was my previous setup. With the soundsend, I am able to “stack” receiving speakers. I was able to connect 22 individual receivers and stack the speakers according to their placement. I can have up ten height speakers if I wanted. Or 10 subwoofers. You can build a massive system, all wireless. We just need more speaker options….

If you’re watching content that is encoded in Dolby Atmos and you select “Direct” on Audio Mode under Audio Settings, you will be listening to the mix the way it was created by the audio engineers. If you select “Movie” the soundsend will use DSP to adjust the mix and I think it does an amazing job. Especially on content that wasn’t mixed in Atmos like all TV or movies that have lackluster sound…it can really make a pleasant difference! Some movies like Avatar 2 you want to watch in “Direct” mode because the atmos mix is impeccable and sounds super duper amazing on this system. Platin Audio speakers are a great way to start building a WiSA system. Hopefully more speakers companies start to build WiSA certified speakers!

### 5/5 — Impressed, more seamless than a receiver.

*2023-08-19, version 1.0.8*

Really want to support this tech. Overall very happy. System turns on via earc faster than my previous receiver. Sound quality is great. No noticeable latency. Very few bugs so far. Only request is support for PCM multichannel (aka for Nintendo Switch) and to keep updating for reliability.

### 5/5 — 한글지원

*2022-01-06, version 1.0.6*

와우 한글지원 감사합니다!

### 4/5 — SoundSend with Wisa Klipsch Wireless is Amazing!

*2021-12-07, version 1.0.5*

I was probably the first kid on the block to receive my SoundSend unit and I love it with my Klipsch speakers. Klipsch has long since abandoned the Klipsch customers with their antiquated Hub-1 transmitter.
Was holding out for the Axiim transmitting but for the fantastic price of the SoundSend I gave it a try.
One note, you must unlink your Klipsch from the Hub-1 unit to make converting to the SoundSend unit simpler.
Is it super easy plug and play? No, but really close.
Depending on how many speakers you’re trying to connect to, 9 for my system, you may have to fiddle with the speaker identification menu as I had to remap the locations a few times to get my layout correct. You basically drag the misdirected speaker icons to the desired location on your phone/iPad. I have two subs, left/right front, center, left/right sides, and left/right rear.
There needs to be a reference tone that’s not available for level setup, but I have calibration DVD and sound meter to work around this shortfall. Which honestly isn’t that big of a deal if you like tweaking things.
On the second firmware updates my unit locked up and bricked. The help team shipped me out a brand new unit asap and I had a new unit with latest update in almost 24 hours. Best customer service and communication I’ve had with a company in years.
I purchased my original unit 12/15/2020 and after a full year I basically have zero technical issues, in fact I forget it’s even there since it seamlessly works with my Samsung Smart TV, which is probably 5 years old. I connect simply via HDMI, which the Klipsch Hub-1 worked horribly and had to use two remotes to control the TV and Hun-1 for sound.
Improvements I’d love to see:
1) More bass, and more dynamic low end adjustments. My Klipsch are sound starved for bass and can easily handle more.
2) There is a glitch when you switch from Source audio to Theater mode and back. The sound level jumps around and gets super loud in Theater mode and really low in source.
3) Reference level white noise generator to create 85bd THX like standard. Instead of sound volume shown as 0-50 (or however high it goes) have a decibel “0” reference with the 85db as calibration goal, like most A/V units. Yeah I get it, this isn’t a high end market piece of equipment, but could be if programmed correctly.
4) Able to connect via Bluetooth to play music from phone etc. Hub-1 does have this, but horribly clunky.
5) Additional sound stage settings to be able to change sound fields to add depth to music or more stadium feel for games.
Again, I just love this unit and plays perfectly with my Klipsch speakers. Looking forward to more exciting sound option firmware updates soon!

### 3/5 — 1.07 improved but product still has major issues

*2022-09-06, version 1.0.7*

1.07 brings a much faster boot and less disconnects between hardware and app but that still occurs enough to be annoying. Only way to fix the issue is cycle
power on Soundsend and app seems to automatically reconnect which is an improvement of not having to reload app from previous versions.

The other major problem is with Dolby Digital
decoding where many times it mixes up channel locations and gets quieter with voice in some random speaker location but still not a center channel worth of audio. I’ve reserved myself to always select Speaker Config>Speakers 5.1 upon each time I use the device and sometimes when changing/starting new streaming content and it always corrects itself.

I could watch something on an Amazon stick and depending what streaming service I use (Prime, HBO Max, Nexflix, etc.), it may work as it should with correctly decoded and located audio but can never be guaranteed. I press 5.1 to be sure but should never have to do this.

Why is this still a problem after so long?

Using a Platin Monaco 5.1 setup for reference

### 3/5 — 블루투스 연결이 계속 안됩니다

*2022-01-16, version 1.0.6*

지난주 부터 계속 연결이 안됩니다

### 3/5 — Easy

*2021-01-07, version 1.0.1*

Super simple to use. I do wish there was a brief description somewhere of what some of the individual settings do.

Lots of bugs. Bluetooth connection to the app to adjust settings disconnects quite frequently. Settings reset when I power cycle the device. Popping sounds from one of the speaker channels. Speaker volume level between channels changes on its own.

The app has a ways to go before I can raise my rating back up.

### 3/5 — Good start but some additions would be better

*2020-12-29, version 1.0.1*

I have both this transmitter and the axiim and like the feature of party mode on axiim where all the speakers play out the same level of sound (for music) the wisa transmitter does not have that option and when switching to music mode the rears and surrounds sound much lower than my fronts. Also, provide an interface to change the frequency of all speakers to the desired levels, something axiim transmitter does very well as I’m able to hear base more with the axiim transmitter.

### 2/5 — Poor connection speed and lack of updates

*2024-10-21*

The app works, but it’s a poor design, and takes up to 10 seconds to connect, which is very annoying when you want to adjust the volume. Amazingly there is no remote available for SoundSend so if you can’t control it with your TV (we can’t as it’s connected directly to a set top box and on to a projector) you have no choice but to use this app. The worst thing is that it will only connect to one device at any time, so you play a constant game in a family of “who’s connected”. Such a shame as the WiFi audio system it’s connected to is brilliant (Platin) and this ruins the experience.

### 2/5 — Suddenly stopped working.

*2024-04-01, version 1.0.8*

Suddenly the app stopped working. It is keep searching for the speakers. Bluetooth is on. Tried restarting the app and the speakers. No luck. Stuck on the frozen screen of the app which says searching for the speakers. Not able to control the volume or any speaker settings. Please resolve ASAP.
