Mir gefällt die App sehr gut für die Navigation. Es wäre sehr toll, wenn diese auch eine Funktion fürs Fahrrad hätte, sodass man sehen kann, wo man mit dem Fahrrad lang kann und wo besser nicht. Des Weiteren fehlt mir eine Option um Aktualisierungen melden zu können. Denn teilweise stimmen die Preise nicht mehr oder die Herberge hat komplett geschlossen bzw. hat nun andere Öffnungszeiten. Wer könnte dies besser melden als die Pilger:innen selber.

If you need an app to follow the route or check your location, it’s no worse than the other apps available, none of which are as reliable or as up to date as gronze.com

But anyone reading user reviews should understand Wise Pilgrim is not keen on unfavourable reviews of the Albergues.  So much so, my honest, negative review of an Albergue now reads as though I am recommending it.

Have just walked from Seville to Salamanca. The app was great for planning upcoming stages and the map was invaluable in making informed choices when way markers were scarce or confusing. Well worth the money. 

Minor bug: the app tends to crash if you select an off route place as your starting point. Not a big problem as my starting points were generally on route but it would be nice to have the issue fixed.

Really have enjoyed these apps for my Camino’s but I’m doing the VDLP and the elevation map stops at Salamanca and I can’t get it to go further up the route. How can I address this issue please?

Ich habe von diesem Anbieter alle Apps der Jakobswege und bin knapp 8.000 km mit diesen in Spanien und Portugal gewandert. Die App ist übersichtlich und sehr einfach zu bedienen. Zudem gibt es regelmäßig Updates mit Verbesserungen. Ich bin Begeistert und kann diese nur empfehlen.

I have just completed the VdlP and this app was invaluable. Excellent information - it wil never capture every albergue or bar! A couple of gripes - firstly the app kept crashing and then restarting most times I went back to it from another screen. Secondly, the ability to comment on albergues is excellent but I think many users dont do this as they never scroll down the page to see that it is possible. Please make this more prominent and also enable the abilty to commetn on other things such as places and that way we could add info about bars and new albergues.

I used the Camino Frances version of this app when I walked from Pamplona to Santiago last year and found it really useful. I'll be walking the Via sometime soon and will be taking this app with me for sure. I will be starting in Cadiz and would love to see this stretch of the route (Cadiz - Seville) added in; I'm sure there are plenty of people setting out from the coast.

This update is about finding things faster.

Search has arrived. Tap the magnifying glass on the guide or the map and jump straight to any town or albergue on the route.

Measure distances with your finger. Press and hold any stop on the list, then drag up or down. The distance to wherever your finger lands appears as you go, following the route you have selected.

If your itinerary has dates, the map now opens on today's stage. Tapping the stage name brings the view back to that day's walk whenever you wander off exploring.

Elevation figures are now properly smoothed. Climbs read like the guidebooks instead of overshooting, and stage difficulty and walking times are truer for it.

The scissor filter learned a new trick. Alongside trimming the list from your location, it can now trim to today's stage when your itinerary has dates: tap it to cycle between the two. And it no longer hides the town you are sleeping in.

Also fixed: itineraries imported from the website now carry your chosen accommodation for each stop, the favorites filter shows your places right away, and a long press no longer opens a place by accident.

Fly your Camino before you walk it. The new Flyover screen gives you a cinematic 3D preview of every stage in your itinerary, and Explore mode lets you roam the whole route in 3D. The dashboard is now yours to arrange — press and hold any card to move it. Also includes the latest albergue updates from the trail.

A big update this time around.

New on the map: a 6th style — 3D — to help you get your bearings in the bigger cities. And every map style now responds to a two-finger tilt, so you can lean the map back and look off into the distance to see what's ahead.

If you plan with the itinerary, there's a lot here for you:
- Dates are now supported, including multi-night stays in the same town.
- The stage banners at the start and end of each day tell you far more now.
- Notes you add in the online planner come along for the ride — they import straight into the app.
- City pages now show what you've booked, whether it's confirmed, and how you booked it.
- The map can walk you through your itinerary one stage at a time.

And the route page handles those long lists better — it trims itself at your starting point, with an easy tap to bring the earlier places back whenever you want them.

A new Wildfire Map. Tap the Layers button and switch on Wildfires to see active fires across Spain and Portugal — updated daily from the EU's Copernicus fire service — plus this season's burnt areas along your route.

I've also refreshed the route tracks with cleaner elevation profiles and a few corrections, updated a number of albergues with the latest information I have, and fixed a few bugs along the way.
