### 2/5 — Not as good as it sounds

*2026-07-29, version 2.9.3*

Does not load local weekly supermarket special’s. Some pantry and fridge items are misread for recipes, such as beef pie substituted for beef mince. Frustrating when trying to sort a week of recipes. Not what I thought.

### 3/5 — Trying out the app - a few observations

*2026-07-05*

I’d be more inclined to purchase this app if it could do the following:
iPad compatible - would make planning so much easier with a larger screen, especially with families building meal plans together.

Allow collaboration with family members living in the same household so we don’t double up on purchasing, can plan meals for the entire family.

### 2/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-06-03, version 2.8.6*

This app has such potential but it’s just not accurate enough with pricing to rely on. A quick check on the cole’s app found that the same item was on special and half the price of what was listed on the wiselist app. Not worth it.

### 4/5 — Great idea

*2026-05-28, version 2.8.6*

Awesome ideas within this app, just clunky and difficult to use.

### 2/5 — Flawed

*2026-04-03*

This app is good for comparing prices but let’s just say it has potential.

The UI is a clunky disaster. It tries to do too much. I don’t need an AI chat bot in my shopping list. Item categories don’t always make sense and there’s no way to reorder lists. The meal planner is pretty inflexible. Products don’t always show up together, especially Aldi can be hard to find. Unit pricing is inconsistent. List doesn’t divide into stores although it claims to do so. Why doesn’t it tally my grocery bill? It has all the data.

### 2/5 — Has Potential

*2026-02-01, version 2.3.3*

The app has huge potential but it’s soo unessesary clunky and not intuitive. And I get you have to make money somehow but the ads on free tier are overkill.

### 2/5 — Prices aren’t accurate

*2026-01-27, version 2.3.2*

I want to love this app, but I am finding week to week that the prices are just not accurate compared to the supermarkets website. The prices aren’t slightly off either, they are completely wrong.

Edit: even after the developers response, prices are still inaccurate today. This has been happening over a number of weeks. Bananas on the app are 0.63 cents at Aldi but on the Aldi website they are 0.45 cents as of 28/1/2026

### 3/5 — Items

*2026-01-20, version 2.3.2*

He cannot find products which you know they supply. I understand you can’t find everything.

### 2/5 — Torn on what to rate this app

*2025-12-07, version 2.3.1*

The information about prices is amazing, but the UX is horrible. It actively makes you angry and irritated.

Add an item to list, shows quantity of items, click on it, empty. Search for its, again, shows it’s in the list… is there another list it should be in?

You’re better off using this to compare prices and using a paper and pen, just be sure to record which store has the cheaper price.

It’s a huge missed opportunity as I could easily justify paying for this app if the UX was usable. This needs to work more like the Coles app.

### 4/5 — confusing

*2025-12-05, version 2.3.1*

this app is so confusing. i have put my grocery list in. every time it updates, the list lost. this time i cant even find the list. terrible.

### 1/5 — Always get Network error

*2025-11-11, version 2.2.9*

Every time I try to sign up I get a network error

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-10-19, version 2.2.8*

Terrible. ‘Code is invalid’ shown when trying to sign up via email. Finally logged in (via mobile) and the app UI is the worst thing ever

### 1/5 — Overly complicated

*2025-09-25, version 2.2.8*

This app has a bigger learning curve than any app I have ever used. Gave up after 10 minutes of trying to work it out

### 1/5 — Too many pop ups

*2025-08-31, version 2.2.6*

Hard to navigate, too a many sections need a more simplified layout.

### 2/5 — Newcastle Herald /digital subscription

*2025-08-30, version 2.2.6*

I can’t find anywhere to add my password even though you have taken four dollars from my bamk account thank you Janice Morgan Hawkins Masonic Village 3 Northville Drive Edgeworth 2385 Acacia House room 33

### 2/5 — Yeah - dunno

*2025-08-23, version 2.2.6*

Not a terrible idea, to be bombarded with car insurance and other offers is a bit off, especially if I have to pay if I dont want to be interruoted by a popup ever so often.

Sadly, it doesnt seem there is any information on the groceries - nutriets, country of origin…

Instead of using the app an an accelerator for affiliate sales, I’d like to see some more value.

One more thing - say, if you were to search for ‘frozen spinach’ - the first item that actually is ‘frozen spinach’ comes up halfway down the list.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-07-15, version 2.9.0*

Badly designed and implemented.

### 1/5 — More Aldi issues, bad UX, and poor data

*2026-06-08, version 2.8.7*

Updating my review after trying again:

The prices on-app have shown lower than what’s in-store leading to a higher grocery bill.

Aldi prices missing despite identical products being at Coles/Woolies and Aldi (Coke 30 pack for example).

The UX is terrible even after the update, really hard to even know where to go. Just so busy and chock-full of CTAs.

On some products instead of a price per litre, it just lists the volume of the product (600mL rather than $6.67 / 1L, for example)

Finally and probably most importantly, needs more sharks :/

### 1/5 — Bad UX & mess

*2026-03-14, version 2.3.5*

I installed to check price of grocery but it does so much more and UX IS SO HARD TO FIGURE OUT. On top of that randomly ads will pop up.

### 1/5 — Ad driven

*2026-03-05, version 2.3.5*

Too much ads, the real function is hard to access.

### 1/5 — Very poor user experience

*2026-01-04*

Let’s ignore the ads thing - ads are annoying but a necessity with free services. Even so, the basic service should be easy to set up. It is very much not easy to set up. Adding loyalty cards expects you to have a physical card. I haven’t carried a physical loyalty card since well before COVID. You can add your card manually, the app claims, but doesn’t accept the card number copied/pasted from the Everyday Rewards app. There are no instructions around adding items to a list that I could see. It couldn’t find items like bread or milk. I presume it wants a specific brand - but I don’t care which brand of milk I have. I care about the type of milk I have and its price.

Gave up in disgust. Too painful to use.

**Developer response:** Hi! We're sorry for the frustration. We've just released a major update to WiseList with a brand-new UI/UX and improved search. For loyalty cards, you can now copy and paste your barcode number directly—just make sure it is the barcode number and not the Flybuys member number. Please update to the latest version; we’d love to earn another chance!

### 1/5 — Broken

*2025-12-07, version 2.3.1*

Was a great app until the newest update broke it. The grocery lair disappeared which u said is fixed by logging out and back in. Did that and now it’s stuck in an endless loop telling me I’m logged in on another device and forced me to log out to try again. 🤦‍♂️ thanks for your solution, u made it worse.

### 1/5 — App broken by stupid AI integration

*2025-12-04, version 2.3.1*

Your AI integration and intrusive ads were bad enough but now the grocery list is replaced by rubbish AI prompting. I just want my grocery list. Once I find a replacement app I’m deleting yours

### 1/5 — Grocery List Missing

*2025-12-03, version 2.3.1*

After recent update, can no longer access my grocery list :-( Can’t see any reason to keep using the app, unfortunately.

### 1/5 — garbage update

*2025-11-30, version 2.3.1*

app turned to garbage with AI. completely unusable. can’t even compare anymore.

### 1/5 — What happened?!!

*2025-11-28, version 2.3.1*

Was my favourite app for searching prices across supermarket however with the new updated and adding AI it does not do what it used to and has become useless, delete the app and move on

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Must have!

*2025-12-10*

The best way to save money on weekly groceries

### 5/5 — Recent Update

*2025-12-02*

The recent update seemed to remove the wise list groceries tab where all your items are. I contacted the team and they told me it’s a bug issue.
You can log out and re log back in to get the list back.
5 stars on this app after I resolved this issue

### 5/5 — Grocery list disappeared but I got it back!!

*2025-12-02, version 2.3.1*

Great support from Aiden who worked with me until I got my grocery list back

### 5/5 — Compare prices smarter

*2025-10-22, version 2.2.8*

Easily compare between the two big grocery stores for half price specials.

### 5/5 — Handy

*2025-06-12, version 2.2.4*

The grocey price comparison isn’t perfect because it doesn’t include Aldi, but it’s super handy with fridge, pantry, bills and subs tracking all in one place.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-01-04, version 2.1.8*

With the cost of living at the moment, this app is saving me a lot of money. I am lucky to have three supermarkets in close proximity, so I can go to where the specials are.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2024-12-16, version 2.1.6*

WiseList keeps groceries, bills and subscriptions organised. Love the app’s simplicity, but it can be a bit laggy at times. Still, it’s worth using!

### 5/5 — A must have

*2024-10-25, version 2.1.3*

It lets me manage grocery shopping list. I’ve managed to cut my shopping bills by using to find where my entire shopping list is cheapest. The subscriptions and pantry list are also easy to use and great for tracking daily life essentials.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-10-11, version 2.1.2*

Great app! The grocery list with price comparison is pretty good, and the subscription list lets me know where I spent on my subscriptions. The fridge and pantry list is great for planning my meals.

### 5/5 — Hi

*2024-09-17, version 2.1.1*

Good
