## What is WishKeep?

WishKeep is a wishlist that fills itself in.

Paste a link and the app opens the shop's page and takes the title, the price and the photo off it. Type a few words and it finds a picture and works out the folder. Add a screenshot, or take a photo of the thing itself, and it reads the name off the picture. Whatever you give it, the wish is on the list in one move.

ADD IT WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
Share → WishKeep, from Safari, TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, Photos, or anywhere else with a share button. A card opens on top of the app you are already in: the title, the price, the photo, the folder, the priority and a note. Tap Add and you are back where you were.

IT SORTS ITSELF
28 folders — clothes, shoes, electronics, kitchen, kids, travel and the rest — and only the ones you use are shown. The folder is worked out from the words, the shop and the picture, and you can always change it.

IT WATCHES THE PRICE
Shops move their prices after a wish is saved, and the app says so: it re-reads a few pages by itself and shows what has got cheaper and by how much. Over Wi-Fi only, and nothing about the list leaves the phone.

IT REMINDS YOU TO BUY IT
Give a wish an evening — tonight, the weekend, next week — and the phone reminds you. Bought and Remind me tomorrow sit right on the notification.

LISTS FOR AN OCCASION
A birthday, a trip, a new flat. Put any wish into any number of lists; give a list its day and its card counts down.

SEND A LINK, NOT AN APP
A list becomes a web page anyone can open — nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. In a chat the link opens out into a card drawn for that list. Guests mark what they are giving, and everybody else sees it is taken. No name is ever asked for, and who took what is never shown — not even to you. Choose the photos, the language of the page and a word to the guests; the page ends with the occasion, and you can revoke it at any moment.

GIVING
A second tab for the other direction. A link to somebody's wishlist becomes a card that says what has appeared since you last looked; mark your gift without leaving the app, and the phone reminds you before their day. Price chips narrow a list to what you meant to spend. My gifts gathers everything you are giving, list by list.

SECRET SANTA
Make a group and send the link to the chat. Everyone joins under a name and attaches a wishlist or writes wishes in words — in the app or straight from a browser, no iPhone needed. The organizer's phone draws the names, keeping couples apart, and each phone opens only its own envelope: nobody, the organizer included, sees who gives to whom. A reminder comes a week before the exchange and the evening before.

BUILD ONE TOGETHER
Invite your own people by a link: everybody adds things and ticks off what has been bought, on every phone. The list counts how much is left to buy.

FIND IT AGAIN
Search the whole wishlist by the name, the note, the shop or the folder, and narrow it to what you want most. Offline: the query never leaves the phone.

NO ACCOUNT
There is nothing to sign up for. The list is a file on your phone; keep a copy in your own iCloud Drive or export it to an archive. Nothing about what you want leaves the device unless you publish a list, build one with somebody or join a Secret Santa.

ALSO
• Priority: Low, Medium, Really want
• A note on every wish — the size, the colour, the reason
• Mark what has been bought
• Paste a whole chat of links at once: every link becomes a wish
• Sort a folder by priority, date or price
• Deleted wishes wait 30 days in the trash
• Light and dark

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-10

Secret Santa, and a tab for the gifts you give.

• Secret Santa: make a group, give it a day and a budget, and send the link to the chat. Everyone joins under a name and attaches a wishlist or writes wishes in words. The organizer draws the names — with exclusions, so a couple never draws each other — and each phone opens only its own envelope: nobody, the organizer included, sees who gives to whom. A reminder comes a week before the exchange and the evening before.
• No iPhone? Secret Santa plays in a browser too: join from the invitation, write your wishes and open your envelope right on the page. A personal link brings your place back on any device.
• The home screen is now two tabs. Wishlist is what you want; Giving holds the wishlists of friends and family and your Secret Santa groups, with a badge when something is new. My gifts gathers everything you are giving, list by list.
• Add a wishlist by link has a screen of its own, with a paste button right beside the field.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-01

Reminders: one to buy a wish, and one before a friend's day.

• A wish can remind you to buy it: this evening, tomorrow evening, at the weekend, in a week or on any day you pick. Set it on the wish's card, from its long-press menu or right on the Share card. The notification has two buttons — Bought and Remind me tomorrow — and both work without opening the app.
• A friend's list now reminds you a week before its day and the evening before. If the owner set no date, add your own — it stays on your phone. The list's card counts the days down, and a list whose day is this week moves to the front.
• The price card on the home screen shows the biggest drop at once: the photo, the new price beside the struck-out old one, and the cut in money and percent. Everything that got cheaper over the last month stays on the screen behind it — Settings lead there too — and a wish in a folder shows its cut beside the price.
• Refresh on a wish's card reads the current price as well.
• The Photo button can take a picture, not only choose one from the library.

### 1.3.4 — 2026-09-26

One wish, several of it — and guests take them one at a time.

• A wish can now say how many are wanted — five gift cards, say. "×5" sits right on the photo, and on the list's page guests take one at a time: one guest may take several, and a bar under the wish shows how many are still free. Somebody else's list in the app works the same way.
• Photos on the home screen's folders are no longer cut into squares: each preview keeps the shape of its picture, so a bicycle stays a bicycle rather than its middle. The margins around a photo are the colour of the card, not a grey band. The Share card shows the photo whole as well.
• A wish left without a photo — the shop didn't answer or the network dropped — asks for it once more the next time you open the app.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-09-20

A link to a list arrives in a chat as a card drawn for it, and somebody else's list narrows to a budget.

• A link to your list now opens in a chat as a card of its own: the name, the day it is for and the cover — or four photos off the list — instead of whatever picture happened to be first.
• Somebody else's list narrows to a budget: two or three price chips cut out of the list's own prices, in the app and on the page. What other guests have already taken goes to the bottom under a heading of its own, and a wish opens as a whole card rather than half a screen.
• A list kept together counts itself: how many wishes, what they cost, how many are bought and how much is left to buy — and it filters by status and priority.
• A wishlist link tapped in a chat now opens the app instead of stopping in Safari. A list you follow can be renamed on your own phone.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-16

Shop prices move after a wish is saved. Now the app says so.
• It re-reads a few shop pages by itself and shows what has got cheaper — the card says what the thing used to cost beside what it costs now. Over Wi-Fi only, a few wishes at a time, and nothing about the list leaves the phone. Off in Settings, or stop checking a single wish from its menu.
• A shop with a discount no longer puts its crossed-out price on the card, and a price whose currency stands apart from the amount is no longer lost.
• Improved Category detection.
