I keep getting an error message that reads “There was a problem. Is your internet connection good?” My internet connection is good…the question is, is your app good? I’ve got a list going back to 2015, so I really hope it works again. :( ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2021-11-10* This app has good potential, but it constantly crashes, glitches, and is generally very slow. I also wish you could put in a general gift idea (for example: “sweaters”) without having to link to a specific webpage. I deleted it and downloaded the “Christmas List App” which is working far better. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t work anymore on iOS 14 *2021-06-12, version 1.2.19* It had developed issues with the last iOS 13 patch, namely adding a new item from web was sluggish (app opened the page twice each time + was taking too long to load items). On iOS 14 you can’t delete an item from any wishlist, or delete a wishlist - the action of delete makes the app freeze, endlessly deleting. It has to be closed completely to get it unstuck. It’s annoying if you use the wishlist to eg collect items from web for home improvement projects, or any purpose that would mean the content of your wish lists are constantly changing. Also if you like purchased items at the bottom of the list — BECAUSE THERE IS STILL NO OPTION TO DRAG-n-DROP WISHLIST ORGANISING — I used to organise the lists by re-adding and deleting items which is now also not possible. It’s sad and needs an urgent update because the app is one of its kind - other shopping apps don’t offer such ‘Liberty’ in what to add from where. Still can’t change default currency from $ which is lame in a word wide used app. To fix the deletion problem I already re-installed the app. It doesn’t fix it. So the app lost its use, its only good now to archive lists exactly as they are created, because amending wishlists has become just too much hassle. I used the app in my work, shared wishlists with clients to review and it was a huge success in the past + not to mention the recommendations it meant. I can’t do that anymore until the deletion bug is fixed which considering the update frequency and how long iOS 14 has been out, seems unlikely. Dev — get to work and fix the bugs + add the missing features!!! ### 3/5 — Great app overall! Just a few things... *2020-11-29* Hi WishMindr team, I have used this app for a few years. It’s a great app! I just have 7 things I want to say. 1. Sometimes the app crashes or glitches. 2. Family and friends might not understand what the block system for most wanted and least wanted items means 3. Sometimes I search something and it says no results when I know the stores it’s saying no results for probably has the item 4. Sometimes I accidentally click the wrong 😑 option and it pulls up the option like 4 times 5. Sometimes when I click on the search bar, I click on it and it scrolls down or I can’t see what I’m typing in the search bar or it’s going off the search bar somewhere else. 6. When I delete an item off the wishlist, it takes forever to load and delete it. 7. When I add items, sometimes it takes forever to load. BTW Despite these few issues, it is a great app and a great app overall and I would recommend this app to anyone and you can easily put whatever you want on your wish list and you can make more than 1 wish list, friends and family can make wish lists, you can easily share wishlists with family and friends, you can search for a specific item or search for a website and have fun making (a) wishlist(s). I recommend WishMindr for all ages from babies 👶 to grandma’s 👵 and grandpa’s 👴. ### 4/5 — 👍🏼 *2020-11-28, version 1.2.19* It is good app ### 4/5 — Good overall *2020-10-18* The app is good I use it a lot I just have two things to say first please add more currencies for us to choose from second when I delete an item from my wishlist it keeps saying deleting for ages I need to close the app and open again for it to work. That’s it everything else is fine maybe if you can improve the searching experience in the app that’d be great too ### 4/5 — Great app! *2020-09-14* I absolutely love this app, and I’ve been using it as a chrome extension for about a year now. I’ve noticed the extension works much more smoothly than the app though. In the app I can take quite a while for things to load for you to be able to add them to your list. I think this might be because most of the things I’ve been trying to add are custom. I love being able so send my entire list directly to someone when they ask what I want for my birthday/Christmas! I’ve also used it for making shopping lists and school supply lists. Great app and concept! ### 4/5 — Great but.... *2019-12-22* I love this app! It makes it really easy to add everything I want onto a list! The interface is neat and minimalist, and I appreciate that you can organize items by list. I just wish there was an option to organize all wishlists by alphabetical order. The only thing I wish it had was an option to put in your own personal wishes, like stuff you can’t look up online. For example, like money for a tattoo or money for piercings so I can put that out there to actually go get it done. It’s easy to organise and share your lists through a multitude of different platforms. I like how the app takes thumbnails from the website you’re using as your content and gives you a selection. The only thing I would like the developer to address, is adding the option of setting a “default” currency when adding a gift. It becomes tiresome having to click the “£” button every time. Other than this, it’s a great app! I recommend it all the time! You put in your I do and then it goes to a loading screen “signing you up” forever. Also it’s not optimized for my screen (XR). Maybe that’s why it’s so glitchy? ### 1/5 — Theres a major problem *2020-12-07, version 1.2.19* Me and my little sister and older siblings use this app our christmas lists. Today i went to add to my listen, and it said “Purchessed“ on half of my presents so now i know what i got and its not a suprise now. ### 1/5 — Not Ready For Prime Time *2020-11-09* I wanted to like this but it’s just too buggy. The website is pretty clunky and the app is worthless. On both mine and my wife’s iPad the app will either crash or cause your iPad to reboot half the time. Inviting friends works, so far, one in 30 times if at all. With Amazon’s wish list bookmarklet being defunct, this app had an opportunity to capitalize on some really big customer bases as those people try to find an alternative, but it really falls short. The only good side is the bookmarklet is decent, it works, and while not anywhere nearly as advanced as Amazon’s was, it successfully adds to your list reliably. But THIS app, is really quite bad. But it’s so fricken hard to add stuff but over all grate app but don’t buy it!!! ### 1/5 — Pretty rubbish *2019-10-14, version 1.2.15* I thought it seemed like a good app when I was downloading it off the App Store but when I started using it I realised that I couldn’t actually change it to British currency and items but I thought like most apps there would be somewhere where I can convert from American to British to make it more convenient for non americans ### 1/5 — Spoiler alert!!!! *2018-12-27, version 1.2.15* When my family started using the app, things worked as expected. THEN...suddenly everyone could see which things on their wish list had been purchased. Talk about spoiling surprises at Christmas time. Do NOT use this app . ### 1/5 — Spoils surprises and everyone needs to sign up! *2018-11-25, version 1.2.15* My son sent the whole family a carefully curated birthday & Christmas wish list. However, he received duplicate presents as it is not obvious and not easy how to mark gifts as purchased. In iOS Safari, tapping the More button on an item just seems to glitch. If you do manage to click the Mark as purchased menu option, then for some unexplained reason, the buyer has to register an account with Wishmimdr. Consequently, nobody marked items as purchased and my son has duplicate presents. Also, if a recipient of a shared list yields to installing the app, it opens straight into the Wishlist and but tapping an item does nothing. I eventually worked out this again was because I hadn’t signed up. I am not sure why everyone in the family has to have a Wishminder account, but you cannot do anything unless you do. It wouldn’t be so bad if Wishmindr actually explained this was a requirement and why it was actually necessary. Personally, I cannot see a justification for this. My second criticism is that once you figure out how to mark an item as purchased, it also shows the curator! So, if my son wanted to add an item to his list and view his revised list he would also see which items are purchased. Amazon have an option to “not spoil my surprises” so this needs something like this. All in all, this app and indeed service, is useless in its current form. ### 1/5 — Just stopped working *2018-11-04, version 1.2.15* The app let me invite and successfully add 2 peoples wish list. Then it just stopped letting me invite and add people. I’ve looked trough other reviews and this is happening will many people. Haven’t seen any responses from WishMindr.
