## What is Wisp?

Quitting is hard. Wisp makes it feel less lonely.

Wisp is a warm, private companion for anyone working to quit nicotine and vaping, cut back or stop drinking, or step away from weed. Whatever you are putting down, wisp is here for the hard moments and the wins.

MEET WISP, YOUR COMPANION
Talk it through any time. Tell wisp what you are feeling, what triggered a craving, or why today felt heavy, and get a calm, judgment-free response that keeps you moving forward.

WHEN A CRAVING HITS
Open the SOS screen for in-the-moment tools that help you ride out the urge until it passes. It is always one tap away.

SEE YOUR PROGRESS
Track your streak on a clean calendar, unlock milestones as the days add up, and watch insights and charts show how far you have come.

JOURNAL YOUR JOURNEY
Write down wins, setbacks, and the small moments in a private journal that is yours alone.

CRISIS SUPPORT, ALWAYS FREE
If you are ever in crisis, Wisp surfaces the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and other resources on a screen that is never locked behind a paywall.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Sign in with Apple, Google, or a phone or email code. Your data is yours. You can delete your account and data any time from inside the app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.6 — 2026-10-21

A fresh look across Home, Journey, Profile and Library, a shorter first-run setup, and a clearer annual plan on the paywall. You can now choose whether to share anonymous usage under Help improve Wisp, and we fixed several reliability issues. Your companion stays right by your side.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-10-01

New: a Counter for puffs, cigarettes or drinks, with an optional limit of your own. It syncs with the home screen widgets and the Apple Watch app. A new app icon, a brighter opening, a fresh look across the app, a quieter SOS button, more icon choices in Settings, and a smoother chat keyboard. Your companion stays right by your side.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-12

A fix for a crash on launch, and a companion that listens better.

Some of you opened Wisp and it closed straight away. That is fixed, and the cause is gone for good rather than patched around.

Wisp now writes back in your own voice. Save a conversation to your journal and it becomes an entry you would actually want to read again, in first person, as a draft you can edit or throw away before it is kept.

Your journal and check ins now ask before anything is sent for a reply, and you can turn both off in Settings. We also corrected our privacy policy so it says exactly what leaves your phone and when.

Quieter fixes: a slip no longer pulls you back to Home mid tap, restoring a purchase tells you what happened, and reset memory actually clears what it says it clears.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-07

Wisp 1.0.1 is the version we wanted to launch with.

Sign in with a 6 digit code from your email, no link to hunt for. Google sign in works. A referral code step, in case a friend sent you.

Chat with wisp now reads your journal and remembers your reasons, and you can turn both off in Settings. Onboarding got real recovery timelines and calmer, faster pages. A free version keeps your streak, check ins, journal and progress yours forever.

Plus glass back buttons that answer the moment you touch them, and a home screen that finally reads coral.
