## What is Wisprs?

Wisprs is the anonymous professional community for verified employees. Talk honestly about work — your identity is never exposed.

SPEAK FREELY ABOUT WORK
Every employee has things they want to share but can't say out loud. Opinions about management, questions about salary, wins worth celebrating, frustrations worth venting. Wisprs gives you a place to finally speak freely, without risking your reputation or your job.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Sign up with your work email — we verify you belong at your company, then your email is hidden forever. Nobody sees it.
2. You get an anonymous handle like "PurpleFox42" and a unique geometric avatar. That's how the community knows you.
3. Start posting, asking questions, and reviewing.

FOUR WAYS TO CONNECT
Wisprs Feed
Your company's internal feed, visible only to your colleagues. Share what's really going on at work — the new remote policy, office quirks, leadership changes. All company, no filter.
Town Square
The public feed where professionals across every company meet. Tag any company to ask real employees what it's actually like to work there. Interview process, salary ranges, culture — get answers from people who know.
Explore
Search any company and see what their own employees say. Five-pillar ratings cover Work Environment, Career Growth, Compensation, Employee Engagement, and Leadership & Management. Read full reviews from real employees, or write your own once a year.
Notifications
Stay updated when people engage with your posts, comments, and reviews.

BUILT FOR PRIVACY
— Your work email verifies you, but is never stored in any post, comment, or profile.
— Anonymous handles and geometric avatars — no photos, no names.
— Report or block any user at any time.
— AI-powered content moderation keeps conversations constructive.
— Dark and light mode.

WHO IT'S FOR
Professionals who want to share honest opinions, ask questions they can't ask out loud, compare notes with peers, and help others make informed career decisions — all without risking their reputation or job.
Join the conversation. Anonymously.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-05-11

Reply to comments
You can now reply directly to a specific comment, not just to the post. Replies are nested under the comment they answer, so conversations are easier to follow.

Mention people in your comments
Type @ to bring up a list of people in the thread and tag them. They get a notification so the conversation actually continues.

Quieter, smarter comment notifications
We replaced the noisy "X new comments on a thread" pings with targeted ones — you only hear about a comment when someone actually replies to you or @-mentions you. Post authors still get pinged on direct top-level comments to their post.

Smarter back button
Tapping into a post from Explore, Notifications, or anywhere else now returns you to where you tapped from, instead of jumping you to a different tab.

Faster, fairer comment sort
Comment lists now use a hot-score that mixes engagement and freshness — popular takes stay near the top, but old ones eventually fade so corrections and fresh information can climb up.

Tap-to-open notifications fixed
Tapping a thread or comment notification now reliably opens the right post.
