Your English works. You read, write, and do your job in it. But when you have to answer out loud, with no time to think, what comes out is short, correct sentences — and you sound simpler than you are. It's not that you don't know enough. You recognize thousands of words and speak with a few hundred. Wispy works on that gap — and counts what actually made it into your speech. HOW IT WORKS 1. We find the words you recognize but never say. From lessons, shows, your dictionary, your own conversations — the ones you'd understand instantly and never produce. 2. We bring them within reach. Cards, repetition, intervals — the boring part that has to happen. But it never moves your number: recognizing a word on a card is a skill you already have. 3. They go into a queue. Not a progress bar — a list: "8 words waiting to be used." No dates, nothing overdue. 4. You use them in a conversation. The partner is an AI; the topics are from your life: give a colleague feedback, explain symptoms to a doctor, push back on a deadline. Mess up as much as you want — nobody's listening. 5. Only what you say yourself counts. Picking from options doesn't count. Recognizing a word on a card doesn't count. Mentioning it doesn't count. Saying it yourself, in your own sentence, in a live conversation — that counts. It's the only thing that moves your number. After the conversation, a breakdown with no grades. What you used, what you reached for and got slightly wrong, and what you went around. The middle one is the useful one: it goes into the next cycle. For an awkward line, how a native speaker would say it. And if you said "I like" the whole conversation, the breakdown will notice and offer prefer, be into.
