To resize or rotate any sticker – or to layer on top of a photo or other content – press and hold. At all. Many updates and changes to IOS later I realized that none of the stickers work if you have your iPhone in the dark mode! I switched dark mode off and opened the app sure we’ll sure enough they worked.
