The alarm stops when you read the verse aloud. Not when you tap it. When it rings, a verse is waiting where the snooze button would be. Read it out loud, in your own voice, and the ringing stops. It takes about thirty seconds, and the morning starts somewhere other than a feed. If speaking isn't possible — a quiet room, a sleeping house, a sore throat — type it instead. There is always a way through. This is a habit, not a lock. THE FOCUS SHIELD Choose the apps that pull you in. After a stretch of scrolling, the same short reading arrives: a pause before you go on. You choose the apps and control the shield in the app. Chosen friction, never a punishment. A COMPLETE BIBLE, OFFLINE Underneath both mechanics is a real Bible app. The full text ships inside the app, so it works with no connection at all — search, cross-references, highlights, notes, bookmarks, and the day's verse. Three translations, all public domain, each with its attribution carried in the app: the Berean Standard Bible, the World English Bible, and 성경전서 개역한글판. The app is fully translated into English and Korean and follows your iPhone's language. WHAT IS FREE The Bible reader is free and stays free. Reading, search, highlights, notes, bookmarks and the daily verse are not behind the subscription and are not scheduled to be. The verse alarm is free too. Scripture is not a feature to be metered. With Him Plus adds the Focus Shield, sermon recording and AI note preparation, and account sync for your notes, highlights, bookmarks and saved sermon notes. Monthly or annual; the price and the period are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm anything. VERSE AUDIO AND YOUR DATA Verse reading is matched by Apple's on-device speech recogniser. Verse-reading audio is not recorded, stored or uploaded. Sign in with Apple connects you to your With Him account. Your reading progress, reading history, alarms and settings are saved in your account, so they can return after a reinstall or on a new device. With Him Plus also syncs your notes, highlights, bookmarks and saved sermon notes. Sermon recording and AI processing are separate, optional features. If you choose AI sermon processing, your selected recording is sent for transcription and summarization to prepare a draft for your review. No advertising. No cross-app or cross-site tracking. Privacy Policy: https://kipackjeong.github.io/withhim-funnel/privacy.html One honest note: iOS lets you force-quit any app, this one included. No alarm can be made impossible to escape, and an app that claims otherwise is telling you something you will disprove by the second day. What this one does is put a verse in the half-second where the tap used to go. Requires iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Not a safety-critical alarm — keep a second alarm for anything that matters. At first, I honestly found the reminders a little annoying and wanted to turn them off. But then I realized turning off the reminder was actually more work because I had to write down three Bible verses first! 😂 So I kept putting it off, thinking, “I might as well just read the Bible.” Before I knew it, I was reading God’s Word every day, and it’s been helping me become healthier spiritually. If you struggle with self-control or spending too much time on social media, I highly recommend this app!! It’s such a simple but powerful way to help you get back into God’s Word. ## Frequently asked questions about With Him ### How does the With Him alarm work?
