## What is Wizabee?

Your music follows your steps.

Wizabee is a music player that changes the tempo of the music to match the tempo of your walk. The motion sensors in your iPhone read the rhythm of your footfalls in real time. Walk faster and the music lifts; slow down and it settles.

Highlights
- Follows your walking tempo: footfalls are detected on your iPhone, and playback speed is matched to the tempo of your walk.
- The pitch never changes. Only the speed does.
- Even volume: songs play at a similar loudness.
- Walking feel: two settings let you choose how quickly the music catches up with your steps, and where it lands against them.
- Playlists: mix the included songs with your own, up to 200 songs per list and 20 lists. Set a walking tempo and you get an estimate of the time and the steps for that pace.
- A quiet screen: the Play screen is built around the artwork, and the wave along its edge shows how the music is settling into your walk. Time, steps and distance sit in the panel below, and you choose which rows to show. You never have to look at the screen while you walk.
- FAQ: Settings > About this app answers common questions.
- Five original tracks made for walking. Try each in the Store: 1 min on a walk or 30 sec without walking.

Pricing
- Free: choose 2 of the 5 included songs, and add up to three songs of your own (iOS 27 or later).
- Wizabee Plus (subscription): all 5 included songs, and no limit on the songs you add yourself.
The price in your local currency is shown on the purchase screen before you subscribe.
If you are new to Wizabee Plus, the first three months are free. Then the paid period begins automatically and renews unless you cancel. Before the free period ends, Apple emails you and Wizabee reminds you 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before. You can cancel at any time.
Cancel in Settings > your name > Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the period ends to stop renewal.
- Wizabee Plus also helps fund ongoing improvements and new features.
- If your subscription ends, no song file is removed from your iPhone. Just once, right afterwards, you can choose again which songs stay available within the free limit. Subscribe again and everything is there as it was.

Your own music (iOS 27 or later)
- Add your own audio files (MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, up to 60 minutes) and walk to them.
- Add songs from the Music app, from the Files app (any number from either), from the share sheet, or by putting them in the Wizabee folder under "On My iPhone". Not sure how? See "How to add songs".
- When you choose from the Music app, copy-protected songs, streaming songs and songs not yet downloaded do not appear. Songs are added as they are, with no loss of quality.
- Every song gets a free check to see whether it can be walked to ("Ready to use", "Not sure", "Can't be used"), and waits in the list as "Not added yet" until you tap Add.
- For free, you can add up to three songs that are "Ready to use". To add as many as you like, use Wizabee Plus.
- The rhythm of your songs is analysed on your iPhone. The audio, the title and the file name never leave the device.
- Streaming songs and copy-protected songs cannot be used.
- In Japan only: if you take part in Collaborator Mode and have agreed to the consent screen covering your own songs, we receive records of walks with them: the walk itself, the rhythm-check results, whether the song came from Music or Files, and when it played. Titles and file names are never included. Without Collaborator Mode, no walking records are sent.

Privacy
- No account and no sign-in.
- We do not collect your name, location, audio, or advertising identifiers.
- Data is sent to us only in Collaborator Mode (Japan only, off by default). Outside Japan, Wizabee sends no data to us at all.

Take your usual walk, at your own rhythm.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-04

- Slow walks: songs now follow your walking tempo more easily when you walk slowly.
- New tempo modes: ½ Half (half your walking tempo) and ¾ Three-quarter (3 beats every 4 steps). While walking, tap the mode button on the Play screen or press your earphone button quickly three times to switch. Choose whether to include Three-quarter under "Modes for the triple press" in Settings.
- Store: a new Store tab lists the included songs, sorted by how well they fit your walking tempo. Pick your free songs there.
- Try before you choose: in the Store, try a song you can't use yet for 1 minute on a walk, or listen for 30 seconds without walking.
- More for free: choose 2 of the included songs and add up to 3 of your own.
- Even volume: songs now play at a similar loudness. Turn it off with "Normalize volume" in Settings.
- Listen: on the Songs tab, tap "Listen" to hear a song without syncing to your steps, and drag the bar to move through it.
- Seek: drag the song's progress bar on the Play screen to move to any point in the song.
- If your earphones or AirPods come out, the music pauses at that point and continues from there when you press play.
- After you stop walking, the tempo now returns smoothly when you start again.

- Your own songs: when the tempo changes partway through a long song, the music now follows each section's tempo (songs up to 60 minutes).
- A refreshed animation when playback starts.
- Bug fixes.

- Small fixes.

### 1.6 — 2026-09-24

ADD YOUR OWN MUSIC (iOS 27 OR LATER)

- Walk to your own music as it follows your steps. Pick songs from the Music app (purchased tracks and other songs already on your iPhone) or from the Files app, several at once. You can still share a file to Wizabee or drop files into the Wizabee folder under On My iPhone.
- The + beside the heading on the Songs screen offers From Music, From Files, and How to add songs.
- Every song gets a free check first, so you know whether it suits walking before you add it.
- Songs are analysed on your iPhone alone. Your audio, song titles and file names never leave the device, and the sound quality is never reduced.
- The "How to add songs" page shows both ways in, Music and Files, as three illustrated steps, including which songs cannot be used.

ONE SUBSCRIPTION: WIZABEE PLUS

- Free: one of the six included songs, and one song of your own (iOS 27 or later). You choose which ones.
- Wizabee Plus: all six included songs, and no limit on the songs you add. JPY 500 per month or JPY 3,000 per year in Japan. If you are new to it, the first three months are free, and it renews automatically after that. The Play screen reminds you 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before the free period ends. Cancel at any time in Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
- Included songs are no longer sold one at a time. Songs you have already bought stay yours.
- If your subscription ends, no song file is removed. Just once, right afterwards, you can choose again which songs stay available within the free limit.
- While Collaborator Mode is on, you can choose three included songs and up to five of your own.

ALSO NEW

- One song list. Wizabee's own tracks and the songs you add now sit in a single list, and "Play order" reorders them together.
- Playlists. Build up to 20 lists of up to 200 songs. Alongside the song count and total length, set a walking tempo and see roughly how long the list will take and how many steps it comes to at that pace.
- The Play screen has been rebuilt. Artwork fills the centre (Wizabee's own tracks have artwork too), and a wave along its edge shows how the music and your steps are getting on. Below the title you see only the artist. The panel for time, steps, distance and body sway starts hidden; choose its rows in Settings.
- The summary screen after a walk is gone. Tap the stop button and you are back on the Play screen.
- A new FAQ under Settings > About.
- The onboarding now shows a small companion: a bee that moves over to walk alongside a sneaker until the two match. Phone placement in Settings is now chosen on a line drawing of a person.
- Themes are now named for how they look: Dark, Light, Warm and Vivid.
- Wording across the App has been reworked: shorter, plainer, and the same word for the same thing.
- Various smaller display and behaviour fixes.
