What!!! Do better please and this will be a 5 star game.. ### 2/5 — Designed to drain time and money *2025-02-06, version 2.6.1* The gameplay in and of itself isn’t bad, despite being another one of the hundreds (thousands?) of Vampire Survivors clones, which if you enjoy, you know what you’re getting. Personally, I have fun with these types of games, so I liked it for the most part.. The reason for my low review score is that this game is clearly designed as a cash-grab and little more. The week long beginner missions are literally impossible to complete without spending money or investing a massive amount of time into the game. The Watchtower feature where you can collect resources over time cost 15 energy and can be activated 3 times..problem is, you only get 25 max energy, so you can only activate it once with full energy. Every time you level up, you get 4 energy..problem is, everything cost a minimum of 5 energy to do. These sort of decisions make it clear to me that player enjoyment isn’t the top priority. Depriving players of basic resources such as energy is clearly done to create an artificial scarcity, to incentivize players to spend money. Now of course these games cost money to develop and I have no problem with them including ads for minor rewards and trying to incentivize players spending money, but the way the system is currently designed simply feels scummy. It’s actively annoying, and despite generally enjoying the gameplay (3.5/5), these stingy designs have annoyed me to the point where I just feel used, like I’m a vehicle for making money, not a player that they actively want to create an enjoyable experience for. If you absolutely love Vampire Survivor-esque games, give it a shot. But be prepared for mechanics that solely exist to annoy players into spending money. ### 3/5 — Greedy knock-off *2024-07-26, version 2.6.1* It’s a Survivor.io knock off thst spams you with multiple offers after every game. It’s an ok game in general that does the usual pay to progress fast thing, other than that it’s no better than the game they’ve ripped off. Some ads even have more than 1 counter so you need to wait even longer than it states. It shouldn’t be so difficult on the first or second stage that even with an ideal load out of abilities you can’t make it past halfway. I tried several times(And have played other similar games very often) and given the variety of enemies there’s absolutely no way to win except to get really lucky on skills and/or upgrade your character which you obviously can’t do yet in the game without spending money. This game is greedy and bad at hiding it. At least in other similar games there’s some buildup to the paywall and there’s a variety of things to do in game. YuuUuuhurrRrrd! ### 5/5 — Very deceptive *2024-04-01, version 2.6.1* When a developer posts a purchase with the description “NO ADS”, then that should be accurate…NO ADS. I purchased the $9.99 no ads promotion. In the description, it stated that there would be no more ads to delay the play. I closed the app down after the purchase and went back into the game. It showed the first purchase gift and I was pleased. I then start playing and see an option for ads to re-roll my weapon choice and…SURPRISE the ads are the same. There is NO CHANGE to the gameplay despite that I paid them $10 for this to be changed. Here is the big issue: there was an option for ads busters. These ad busters were listed under the TEMPORARY section. The NO ADS option was NOT. This is purposefully deceptive. I will be reporting this to Apple (although that will probably do NOTHING) and will delete the game. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME AND DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS DEVELOPER. This type of scamming (and that’s what it is) should make Apple revoke their ability to create apps/games for their customers.
