Between villages, you will be assaulted by a slew of enemies. They do a great deal of damage to you while you barely make a dent on their health. It’s annoying and not very fun. ### 4/5 — Fun, but almost no tutorial *2021-10-31, version 1.03* As long as you go in expecting to have to restart a few times, you should have fun. A better tutorial would be great, but I don’t have much else to complain of. Each town has supplies and demands. When your traveling from town to town you have to protect your wagon. The better your weapons the less repair your wagon will need, this is the traveling cost. This is not a Free-to-Play, Pay-to-Win game. The small cost of paying to play is worth the cost and far cheaper than any Free-to-Play games I have gotten into. If you find yourself buying and selling items in other games for fun then this is the game for you. ### 5/5 — Fantastic Lite Trading Game *2018-07-05, version 1.03* One of my favorite lite trading sims of all time was Uncharted Waters: New Horizons for the Super Nintendo. In the decades since that game was released, I have sought a game of similar enjoyment. This game has come close. There are many elements that are similar to UW, including a long list of trade goods, quasi random encounters, cities that you invest in (through quests and commerce), companions, wagons that can be upgraded or swapped, etc. The scale is certainly slimmed down for touch gaming, and there are no country vs country dynamics, but it is still a fun trading adventure in a fantasy setting. I did worse the first time I played and started over snd did better. A bit more in game help or tutorial may have been useful. Traveling between towns requires some reflexes to shoot down enemies so this is not a pure strategy game. Still quite fun. Hint: after you unlock guilds look at town perks and try to unlock them by checking progress. Exactly what I was hoping it would be. ### 5/5 — Simple yet engaging *2017-09-03, version 1.03* Good rpg dynamics, interesting trading twist. ### 4/5 — Fun but small improvements will make it better *2017-08-29, version 1.03* This game is fun trading type game but the some components will make it easier and a more enjoyable experience. 1: if they could give some type of mini map or regular map one can use to see the supply and demand of cities you have already been to would make the trading between cities and quests easier instead of having to scroll around to find each particular city. 2 the weapon switching should be given a customizable function so the player can put it wherever they feel comfortable. As a right hand dominant player it makes it hard to attack and switch weapons with the same hand. I tried using my left hand to attack but it was awkward. 3 for weapons they should have a small video or demonstration to show how they attack and how much damage they do. Figured out after about 15 minutes this is due to his/her lack of intellect. You wouldn't want to travel aimlessly between cities, with zero thought into your trading, or yeah you would lose money. Try strategize your trades...this is not another tap to win game. Also, the point complained about not being able to tap monsters fast enough...go upgrade your gear. Then you become stronger... Great game! It's a dreary, button mashing, defend your cart from bandits tedium. What a waste of my $$ ### 1/5 — Brutal! *2016-01-15, version 1.02* This game is not fun....10 mins in the game and it's already an agonizing chore. For the sake of simplicity, you scour the map to see each town is only selling weapons and cheese, and each town is only buying armour and milk. You can take quests to deliver items that your wagon isn't even large enough to hold yet. You get massive swarms of attackers and a pea shooter of a bow to hold them off with. Then pay for the damage to your wagon out of your minimal profit. The balance of risk and reward is totally insane. It feels like It should be this difficult at a time when I'm making huge profits on a dangerous trade route later in the game. Right now I'm getting 106 gold worth of wagon damage trying to make 100 gold profit by selling apples from the first town. That being said I still like the basic style of this. Definitely will wait to see if there's a drastic change before uninstalling. ### 1/5 — Good concept, but not fun and not rewarding. *2015-12-29, version 1.02* I have re-started this game 4 times and have tried to have a good strategy but the game fights against you all the time. I like the concept but it is not rewarding to play, just sad. Hordes of enemies can steal your cargo in a game that is 100% about cargo. Then leave you with no way to get money and upgrade your wagon. So you don't feel any progression. Also the Guild quests can be confusing. Limited time to get something and then bring it some where. But no help with a count down timer. Or allowing you to see a map. Pretty lame over all. ### 1/5 — Needs balancing!! *2015-12-19, version 1.02* I want to like this game. But after 3 hours and 3 restarts, I've decided this game is to unforgiving. It cost way to much to repair your wagon, and it's almost impossible to make a profit even when you buy low and sell high your only going to make a like 200 gold and the cost of repairs to make the trip will be like 150.. Fix this crap! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Really fun *2024-11-27, version 1.03* Enjoyable trading game, lots of quests to explore, and towns that can be improved over time The calendar remembers events you have discovered, which can be great for planning If your wagon is destroyed, you can chose to be teleported and fully healed to either the town you just came from, or the starter town, for 10% of your money, and *delicate cough* sometimes it works out cheaper to die and teleport than to travel all the way back to starter town. (As long as you tap purloined cargo, it is recovered) ### 5/5 — Would recommend *2024-04-12, version 1.03* Very nice , fun game ### 5/5 — A Sequel Would be Nice *2023-12-24, version 1.03* This game does require a little bit of getting used to, but it’s fast to restart and well worth the small price for the hours of play. Micro goals keep the game interesting for a while (just gotta finish one more delivery…) and the style is light and humorous. They way the game makes profit and loss clear during transactions is nice, too; it isn’t a chore to play trader, in other words. It does leave me wishing for more; a second game that builds upon the concepts in the first would be welcome, with a bigger world, more impact to investing time meeting a settlement’s needs, more story quests leading to perhaps one or more (optional) great challenges requiring specifically decked-out wagons, maybe house customization or relocation, etc. ### 5/5 — Reminds me of Tradewinds of Sid Meier’s Pirates! *2023-09-13, version 1.03* Pretty well put together game!
