## What is WJAY RADIO?

It signed "on the air" on June 6, 1947. The late, legendary Bishop R. F. Davis (Greater Highway Churches) purchased WJAY-AM 1280 in the 1980's and operated it as a black gospel music format. During Bishop Davis' ownership an FM translator (93.THREE) was purchased to expand the AM signals coverage. In July 2018 Bishop Michael Blue (Door of Hope Christian Church, Marion, South Carolina) purchased WJAY to continue it's rich legacy of black gospel music programming.

Hello from Texas. I love being able to listen daily to WJAY, which I grew up listening to. I may live thousands of miles away but, I listen daily. I love hearing that familiar radio voice Mr. Curtis Campbell. May God continue to bless this station to bless others across the world.
