One, it will not go into landscape mode. In 2024, this should not be an issue. Second, the update was released yesterday and today I can’t use the old version. Did you all not learn anything during Hurricane Helene when we had no cell service and unable to download data? Give us a few days to update the app before you cut us off of the old version. Honestly, these two things are enough to make me not bother with WLOS. Site difficult to navigate and live coverage is a joke. Many articles report on something in a City or Town but do not say what state, as if readers can read their minds. 3. Way to many grammatical and spelling errors. 4. Video Ads must run before seeing posted videos, I understand they need revenue for a free app, but the volume boost is so annoying I will not load their news videos. Or listen to the adverts. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Constantly sending alerts for low quality stories *2026-01-19* Was great for years when you’d only get occasional alerts for breaking news or weather, but the latest update alerts your phone for every stupid story possible. It’s completely unnecessary, annoying, & distracting, & there is no way to turn it off. After using this app since it first launched it’s a shame that I’m now forced to delete it & look elsewhere for local or breaking news. ### 1/5 — Please open up *2025-09-24* I’d like to be able to see Jimmy Kimmel.
