And if you’re unwilling to match the news article to the video, can you at least let the user mute the unwanted audio? Or just give an option to mute all audio including advertisements as some prefer to read the article over watching a video and the audio of those advertisements can be distracting while trying to read???? ### 2/5 — Stop the auto play *2026-04-08, version 8.0.3* I hate it when ads or video automatically start playing, especially ads. Hope you wake up to mediocre coffee for the rest of your life. ### 1/5 — Weather app *2025-11-07, version 7.0.17* I flew to Puerto Vallarta Mexico and went to the weather app to see what the weather is doing on the Mississippi coast and I’m blocked from using it because I’m out of the country or something. All the other news apps at least tell you who or what or where in the pop-up. This lame app forces you to open it. While trying to read an article tonight, the same ad popped up several times and could not be removed to read the article. Others are obnoxiously loud (gaming ads.)
