Recent updates made it even worse. Needs to be resolved! ### 2/5 — Sound issues *2024-04-04, version 5.15.1381* App will continue to play audio or restart audio after being closed (not force closed, leaving the app normally). In a first for me, last night I was woken up when it randomly started playing an ad long after the app was closed. This was on an iPhone 13 and there was no way to stop it since it didn’t appear in the “now playing” control panel section. It stopped when I force quit the app - it was a pretty easy guess which app was doing it. ### 2/5 — Good but *2024-03-18* I’m not trying to be rude here but I just read an article about a police chase that ended on I-295 (which it never once said in the article). First it was referred to as the turnpike and then it was referred to as I-290. Twice. The only way I was able to figure out where this actually took place was by them mentioning exit numbers. This is inaccurate information as far as news reporting goes. How is one supposed to take this app seriously like this? iOS 17.2 and every update since makes the widget have an ugly dark black border. Please fix! Other apps have, you’re perfectly capable of doing so as well. Thank you. Also, if you could make it so that every single push notification from this app does not disappear just because you open the app or click on one of them, that would be fantastic. Really getting sick of that. This is literally the only news app on my phone that does that and it’s infuriating. ### 2/5 — Good but *2024-02-23* iOS 17.2 makes the widget have an ugly black border. Please fix! Other apps have, you’re perfectly capable of doing so as well. Thank you. Pain ### 3/5 — App Notifications No Longer Working *2023-03-19, version 5.15.1006* WMTW 8 is our favorite local news station and when I first downloaded the app about 3 years ago, I would get the news updates with the WMTW “theme” song, however, that hasn’t happened for a long time. Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between an article and an ad and it’s frustrating. I'd say about 50% of the time the video story does not have anything to do with the print news story. I don't know why you do this. I'd rather just read the news story if that happens. My biggest pet peeve is some of the special interest articles are kept on the site for months. And also when the news is posted and the story is still developing, the site will say about updating it as they receive more information-many times it never occurs.
