Every other streaming service also includes Chromecast as an option. This appears to be the case for all PBS apps (like Passport). Does PBS hate Android users? Does Apple donate more than Alphabet? Skip this app ### 2/5 — WNED app review *2016-12-05* The app is OK. Crashes frequently on the i phone, works well on the i pad. Crashing is a real pain. Love the ability to see what's on the playlist, but the print font is terrible; VERY hard to read on a phone, and since the app doesn't shift to landscape from portrait, that can't help. Overall, an OK app that with a few improvements could be excellent. Come on WNED, fix it and make it great! ### 2/5 — Nothing like what it should or could be! *2015-10-18* The main reason I use the app is to find out what's playing at a particular time--to identify a piece or particular performance. Most of the time the SPO fails to do so adequately. Either no ID shows up at all, or it is so general as to be useless. Never any information about performers, which should be highlighted. And the information about composers and pieces is hopelessly amateurish (eg no musician identifies Mozart Piano Concertos by number; Use the key and Köchel number!) The station is wonderful and plays mostly fine music (aside from a few too many generic Romantic pieces by Svensen et al, and not enough early and recent music). The app needs serious attention by a first rate programmer with serious musicological training! ### 3/5 — Nice app for a start *2018-09-27* Ok app, pretty simple. ### 3/5 — Good start *2016-09-28* I like the podcast and tv station episode access. My favorite feature is the ability to see which classical music song is playing on the station in real time. I wish there was a quicker, easier way to save this information on my phone, rather than transcribe it the old-fashioned way. I like the radio station and want to enjoy it at my convenience.
