### 4/5 — Pretty impressed

*2026-05-14, version 2026.05.08*

Took me a while to get the hang of the app and the podcasts and entering all the data, but now i can see with the weekly report it’s so important to have all the data as it’s collects it all and is really interesting to read through, made me question all the things I have done in the past. Im still learning through it. There are some updates I would like to see but in general very happy with it.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2026-05-10, version 2026.05.08*

One of the first to keep me on track in a long time. Marked down because since the recent update, the app is a lot more “buggy” - won’t let me do my check in for example.

### 4/5 — Promising app

*2026-05-10, version 2026.05.08*

App functionality improved across the duration of the trial. Like how it syncs with Apple health so everything is in one place

### 3/5 — Guttered

*2026-05-05, version 2026.03.19*

Really disappointed in the app after the 14 day trial no option for paying for subscription could be found and the app glitch’s / data disappears. The features, layout and idea is fantastic user friendly and easy to understand but that doesn’t out weigh the app not functioning

### 4/5 — Great app but I’m not a fan of the speech function

*2026-01-18, version 3.2.5*

I first downloaded this app a couple of years ago & instantly loved it. There’s so many good features like the intuitive macro counter & the daily podcasts. I’d used MyFitnessPal before & found that Turtle’s scan function was much better, almost every label I scanned it would give a result. That being said, I’ve recently started using the app again & unfortunately this no longer seems to be the case. Scanning is very slow & most things I’m scanning aren’t working. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the new speak function? But it’s disappointing, it makes tracking a lot harder when you’re having to manually input the macros for most of the ingredients you’re using. Still a great app & I will continue using over MyFitnessPal, it’s just disappointing when functionality declines

### 3/5 — Recorded Teams Call Workouts :/

*2025-08-04, version 3.0.60*

So much I liked about this app but the workouts all seemed to be recorded video calls and I couldn’t find anything that seemed to have been made recently which is so disappointing. Made for tinny audio on dance workouts and some waiting around for people to sort out tech to get to the workout. The rest of the app is great but this doesn’t fit the professional style of the rest of the app and workouts being included was part of the selling point.

### 4/5 — So good so far

*2025-01-12, version 3.0.60*

### 2/5 — Still needs development

*2025-01-08, version 3.0.60*

Disappointed as sold better than other apps however found it didn’t register half the foods for calorie counting. I liked the idea of other elements building into calorie counting but wasn’t easy enough to use. Big fan of the creators so slightly disappointed!

### 4/5 — Love

*2025-01-07, version 3.0.60*

Really love the app! Only issue is that when I go to track my period and save the info the app crashes; every time!!

### 1/5 — Avoid

*2024-10-29, version 3.0.60*

Takes money before review of 7 day trial, and you can’t contact them. It’s impossible. Email bounced back.

### 3/5 — Great approach

*2024-10-11, version 3.0.60*

I like the way they emphasise consistency as I think this is what’s been lacking from my approach to losing weight; I’ve been following this system for a month now and have lost precisely one pound… however, I’ve been tracking religiously and feel good and am prepared to wait it out to see what happens because I do believe they’re right - it is a question of common sense and sooner or later the scales are going to move in the right direction!
HOWEVER…. can someone PLEASE sort out the comparison function?? I’ve emailed you guys three times now and been promised someone will take a look …but nothing and this is seriously beginning to p**s me off! I don’t know if it’s just me, but every time I try and use it, I just get a completely blank screen. So, apart from no weight loss and a non-working function, I do genuinely think this is a worthwhile investment! No, seriously, I do!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-05-04, version 2026.03.19*

I can see the vision with the app but functionality just isn’t there. I’m really surprised this app is up and running without basic functionality. It would be so much better if the app integrations were improved. I have a garmin which already tracks all my metrics but there is no option to use that data in the app. Even the apple health data is limited so it can’t even pull from there. I assumed there might be some recipe recommendations but honestly at this point my fitness pal does everything this app is trying to do. I’d wait to see if it improves before wasting time and money

### 1/5 — It's getting worse

*2026-02-21, version 3.4.100*

The more updates for iPhone , the more glitches. The app is spectacular and used to be so quick and easy; but so many glitches and issues with adding food have made it a nightmare. A real shame ; I lost 5 stone using this app and am now actively looking for a replacement where the data is the driving force ; not the app updates (which never work)

### 1/5 — Don’t get conned by new app

*2026-01-26, version 3.2.6*

The app barely ever works, constantly asking the administrator for help who can never manage his emails. He’s combative and barely responsive. These people don’t care about your health, just your money.

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-01-18, version 3.2.5*

I downloaded the app, excited to give a new female-focused app a go, and it refuses to let me proceed further than providing all my details after I choose my diet type, as I’m ’unauthorised to perform this action’ when I go to see what my suggested macros are. Pointless. Deleted and redownloaded to give it another shot, and same issue persists.

### 1/5 — Turtle

*2025-04-04, version 3.0.60*

This site is a scam do not join

### 1/5 — Save your money

*2025-01-30*

The app barely ever works, constantly asking the administrator for help. He’s combative and barely responsive. I don’t think the program will last much longer so avoid avoid avoid!

### 1/5 — Be warned - Difficult to cancel

*2025-01-07, version 3.0.60*

I cancelled just before the free trial was due to end and thought nothing more of it. I later realised I had an apple subscription leaving my bank account each month and couldn’t work out what it was. Realised it was this app and so I thought to myself “I must have not cancelled”. Went to log in to the app, login details not recognised. I must have cancelled the subscription for my login details to be deleted, so why haven’t the payments stopped? I emailed the only email address I could find for this company - no response received. Whilst waiting for a response, the money continued to be taken from my account. I then found that I could cancel subscriptions via apple and cancelled this way. So far so good - payments have stopped. But still, there is still a fair amount of money I am unlikely to get back. Be warned.

### 1/5 — Con

*2024-12-23, version 3.0.60*

Deleted the app after a day as it wasn’t for me. They still charged me for the subscription even though the app was deleted off my phone. £15 as well which is a lot of money when on maternity leave

### 1/5 — Help

*2024-12-12, version 3.0.60*

Can’t get past the registration. I select my food preferences, click calculate macros and get an error message.

### 1/5 — Incorrect Calories

*2024-11-12, version 3.0.60*

I just came across the app and thought I would give the free trial ago. The first item of food I scan was incorrect. Checked against my fitness pal and the box which they both matched considering this is an app I would have then paid a subscription for not great first experience. Trail cancelled.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-07-16, version 2026.06.16*

I joined just over a week ago and I’m loving this app so far. There’s a few bugs that need fixing but these are coming shortly in the next update. There are so many great features. The ‘coach’ is brilliant for giving advice and is like having an AI mate with so much knowledge. I’m so much better when following some kind of plan, but Turtle has brought together all the strands that I need for someone at my age and stage. I can see me sticking with this for the duration. MFP was missing the mark and not giving me what I needed.

### 5/5 — Amazing experience

*2026-05-15, version 2026.05.08*

Such an amazing and easy experience bought it for life. Tracking actually made easy with workouts and tracking menstrual cycle.

### 5/5 — All round health focus

*2026-05-01, version 2026.03.19*

Great app which gives a good holistic view of your health. I really enjoy the tracking and journaling aspect. So much better than tracking all of these things in separate apps.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2026-01-25, version 3.2.6*

Love it

### 5/5 — Updated review after the recent updates

*2026-01-08, version 3.2.5*

This is still a really good app and one I actually like using. It’s clean, not cluttered, no ads everywhere and doesn’t feel overwhelming like a lot of other food tracking apps.

After the last update there were a few frustrating glitches and some useful features disappeared, but following feedback they’ve fixed a lot and it’s much better again now.

You still can’t copy meals to another day, which was a great feature before and the add scan option on the + log food can feel limited at times as it occasionally adds the wrong items.

Overall, this is one of the most useful food tracking apps I’ve used. If they could just sort out a few remaining glitches, it would be pretty much perfect.

### 5/5 — Love this app and community

*2026-01-05, version 3.2.3*

I’ve been using this app for years to track and it’s far more insightful than any others. I love the auto-adjuster function, which means if I over indulge on a weekend I can balance out during the week. I need to make better use of the tonnes of workouts available- and so interested to see the AI content developing, which will be a great addition.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-01-05, version 3.2.3*

Perfect way to healthy track food, lose weight and work out! Love the on demand workouts and the recent updates mean I can just take photos of my food!

### 5/5 — Nicely

*2025-11-17*

Good app

### 5/5 — Turtle masterclass great to get going

*2025-06-18, version 3.0.60*

I have loved the masterclass. I took it to ease my way back to a healthier lifestyle after having a baby. The podcasts are great and the little tasks- some of which I wasn’t physically able to do, but there was never any pressure. It is all about mindset and taking things one day at a time.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2024-10-06, version 3.0.60*

Very helpful, changed my thinking and the app has helped me lose weight
