Alles Eiche egal welches Holz

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-05-06, version 13.0*

Tested on 10 known woods. Got 3 right

### 1/5 — Very inaccurate

*2026-04-25, version 13.0*

I recently purchased this app. Pain to use. Must first take a picture then download to the app. I tried on 7 pieces of wood with only 1 hit. A piece of oak came up Winga. lol canceled my subscription

### 1/5 — I purchased the annual subscription then lost my phone now it wants me to pay again. 😡

*2026-03-28, version 10.0*

I purchased the annual subscription in January 2026, I lost my phone in March 2026 and redownloaded the app however there is no place to sign in to recover my subscription!
No contact information and no way to access my already purchased app.
I loved the app when I was able to use it however I’m not going to pay double for something I’ve already purchased!

### 1/5 — Tim

*2026-02-06, version 5.0*

Scam. Doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Irritating and inaccurate.

*2025-12-20, version 4.0*

Between wood samples you are requested to provide a review. EVERY TIME. Way way irritating! I felt the ids didnt seem accurate so did a test. Same piece of wood four times - id’d as poplar, maple, western red cedar, and oak. Seems pretty useless and a waste of money. Don’t know how it got so many 5 star reviews - probably just users trying to get past the irritating demand for reviews.

### 1/5 — don’t ask for feedback every time i scan an item

*2025-11-05*

ridiculously annoying pop up asking for feedback constantly

### 1/5 — Not a clue

*2025-10-29*

Identification not at all accurate. Got it right once out of ten. Waste of money

**Developer response:** Hello, we've significantly improved our accuracy rate thanks to a new screen where you can specify wood characteristics that the camera can't capture.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

### 1/5 — One scan only

*2025-10-01, version 3.0*

You only get one scan free before it forces you to subscribe

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-07-31, version 1.0*

Every time I take a poc, it says success, then it says error, try again. Just won’t work.

### 1/5 — Sinnlos und Überflüssig

*2025-07-06, version 1.0*

Warum solch eine Schrott App überhaupt noch online ist...?! Funktioniert von hinten bis vorne....NICHT!

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Small Wood Working

*2026-08-20, version 20.0*

I tried this app to identify small pen blanks. The app was easy to use and quickly identified the wood species. I look forward to using the app with confidence in its accuracy

### 4/5 — great improvement

*2026-02-21, version 6.0*

I had serious issues with the earlier release, mainly the incessant push for reviews and inaccurate identifications. The review requests have been removed, and the app now asks for input from the user to help improve accuracy, and my impression is it has improved accuracy. I have not tested it as thoroughly as I did the earlier version, but what I see looks very good, and I am greatly encouraged that the developer addressed my concerns in the new release. I am reserving the 5-star status until I have a chance to use it more, but if it continues as well as my current limited testing of this version, then I will update it to a 5-star review. Thank you, wuddy.

### 4/5 — Well

*2025-10-05, version 3.0*

Not good, downloaded and as a test I checked a know piece of wood. So I clicked a 5 star rating. I return to the app a few minutes later and now I need to pay to use the app. Not what I expected. Will be deleting app as it’s not good for me.

### 4/5 — Wood Identification is hard

*2025-04-19, version 1.0*

Though not perfect, this app can point you in the right direction for further identification with pictures of possible wood types. It is good for verifying what you already know or think you know. My mixed results could have been due to shadows or a shaky hand. I expect this app will get better with more development time.

### 3/5 — Not ready for Prime Time

*2026-08-15, version 20.0*

I had hopes for this app but I cancelled during the three-day free trial (thank you!).
I live in the Pacific Northwest and have many mill edge reject pieces. I am certain they are from the PNW region and almost know where they were cut before liking since the wood was given to me by the friend who cut them.

I have had the wood for almost 30-years. I was excited when the app identified boards, but when I scanned a couple of boards three times, I was given three different PNW wood names. Once that happened, I cancelled because the app can’t do better than I do when I guess.

### 2/5 — Not Completely Accurate

*2025-11-27, version 4.0*

For a paid app, this wasn’t very accurate identifying different wood species. I found it guessing more than actually giving an accurate answer. Not worth the weekly or yearly subscription price!
